Hi all, I was going to ask this in chainfire's thread in the dev section but I am not yet allowed to post there hence I will ask here. I have an N7105 LTE which is locked to Orange UK, and I want to root the phone. Question is do I have to unlock it first before rooting ? Thanks

I am new to this XDA-DEVELOPERS forum hence don't know whether posting comment over here is correct or not. [Advice in case]
I am having HTC Desire HD on 2.3.3 which is SIM LOCKED on Softbank. I wish to know if there is any method to UNLOCK the phone without downgrading to Froyo [Android 2.2]
If anyone knows a good link on this site, please let me know.
There might be relative posts on this site i.e. SIM UNLOCK Desire HD on 2.3.3 but being new to this site, I don't want to create a new thread unnecessary.

Hello , I just got Sony Xperia S. It's locked by Hutchison 3G Austria and i couldn't find any free way to unlock it. I tried to unlock bootloader but in confg. it says Bootloader unlock allowed : No. Is there any free way to get code or something to unlock SIM to all GSM networks. At the moment I am in Bosnia and Herzegovina..

root = warranty voided, keep that in mind
to unroot, you need to flash stock rom and (optional) reset flash counter(people usually do this for warranty)
and you're indeed in wrong section, so can't really help with rooting there, S3 international might have a different rooting method than U.S S3

You'll need to go to the i9300 forums. The i747 isn't compatible with the international model.

I tried to unlock phone from "menu" but that didnt have effect. I cant access some menu options. So is there any way to unlock it?
Phone is on softare JB 4.1.2 JZO54K.I9300XXELLA is build number. Phone is from Austrian network A3 ( not sure 100% )Can someone help me please?
You need to be in the correct forum. This is for the US Sprint version. You need to look for the international version section.
