I recently brought a Samsung Galaxy S, however is is SIM locked on orange so I can not use my T-Mobile SIM card in it.
Can you please tell me the exact way to unlock it? (guides would be ideal0
I know I need to root it first then unlock it, but I am unsure how to do this.
Details of phone are:
Model - GTI900
Firmware Version - 2.3.3
Baseband Version - I9000XXJVO
Build Number - Gingerbread.XWJH

I am new to this XDA-DEVELOPERS forum hence don't know whether posting comment over here is correct or not. [Advice in case]
I am having HTC Desire HD on 2.3.3 which is SIM LOCKED on Softbank. I wish to know if there is any method to UNLOCK the phone without downgrading to Froyo [Android 2.2]
If anyone knows a good link on this site, please let me know.
There might be relative posts on this site i.e. SIM UNLOCK Desire HD on 2.3.3 but being new to this site, I don't want to create a new thread unnecessary.

I'm new, and i'm glad to be a member of this great forum!
I've lot of confusion about the sim unlocking on my HTC Tattoo branded Orange.fr to my Wind SIM (italian)
After a series of research on google, i've understand that i've two options:
- The first one is buy a sim unlocker in a shop like Dealextreme
- The second one is root the Tattoo and install a ROM that doesn't have sim locking
But... i've some questions:
1. Have I well understand what i've to do?
2. It's better to have some crapy chinese unlocking stuff or doing some tricky hacking software procedure?
3. Wich ROM do u suggest me?
3.1 Is true that if i flash other roms i lose the radio and the camera?
3.2 Is it better use a rom based on android 1.6 or android 2.x? Why?

The debranded firmware on the Tattoo doesn't solve the unlocking issue.
We have one in store that is still waiting for a solution. To root/debrand is the same as the Hero, but the sim unlock code still doesn't get accepted after flashing. That's as far as i've got with it!
Unless something has occurred recently that i've missed that's all i can help with for now!

Now i've unlocked it by using the IMEI code, but even now can't i install a costum ROM on my HTC Tattoo?
Hi, I am planning on getting a desire today, it is cdma (doesn't use sim cards). I would like to know, is it possible to root it? if so, could you please give me a link to do it?

Yes, I believe you can root cdma. Should be a forum here.
Check for the Bootloader version - if it is the latest 1.06 or higher, then not yet.

I recently purchase a Xperia Arc from Bouygues Telecom in France.
I tried to unlock the bootloader using Sony Ericsson method at unlockbootloader.sonyericsson.com
But when i type *#*#7378423#*#* to show configuration it says "Bootloader unlock allowed : No "
So it looks like i'm a little stuck.
Do i need seTools ?

Anyway , I have no problem paying for this phone to be unlocked. Actually Bouygues Telecom ROM has some limitations comparing to the stock one i think ( some apps are not available on the market like Google Music for example).
I just want to know what is the best and most secure method

Hello , I just got Sony Xperia S. It's locked by Hutchison 3G Austria and i couldn't find any free way to unlock it. I tried to unlock bootloader but in confg. it says Bootloader unlock allowed : No. Is there any free way to get code or something to unlock SIM to all GSM networks. At the moment I am in Bosnia and Herzegovina..

I have a samsung galaxy S3 GT-i9300 Android 4.1.2, I9300XXELLA and i want to unlock sim without root, and if its possible only with root tell me pls best way to root (if its possible i want to keep waranty) and after root and sim unlock how can i unroot?
PS: i didnt know what section to choose beacause I bought my phone in Spain from Vodafone.
