Since version firmware 3.2.80, Root version & Custom Rom work for version tablet with HDD ( 250G....) ( Thanks @gen_scheisskopf )
For official firmware versions you can not downgrade firmware ( ex. : once installed version 3.2.78.aos you can not install again 3.2.69.aos )
For each ROOT version installed you can downgrade other ROOT or Custom Rom version !

Sorry for the stupid question, but am I right in assuming that all installed programs will be lost (need re-installing), when upgrading the firmware?

Yes ! you are right ....my proposal is to install on clean , my Custom Rom because is stable , up to date and root version. I do not think will see a better and more complete version 3.2.79 until ICS update ....Good luck!

Can you please confirm that this is really true?
I have downgraded from 4.0.4 to 3.2.80 by formatting the device before reinstalling the earlier version. I thought that this was generally true for the stock releases?
More importantly, if I root my device then will I be able to upgrade/downgrade to a stock rom by the same process: format first and then reinstall?

hi,
Know that your device itself is not rooted. When you run sde firmware, it has root and busybox added.
sde firmware and official stock firmware shouldn't interfere much with each other

Call your operator(T-mobile)and ask.This is the only clear way.

I chat with them throught Chat Service and they confirm me that i will NOT lose warranty if flash Official firmware from Huawei.
And i saved that conversation
So i'm askink what method should i use to flash?
Flash it from settings (Normal Method)
Or Flash it from recovery (Force Method)?
I weas thinking to flash it with force method because it's T-Mobile modified firmware on it now,
and it maybe wont flash it from settings because of that.

It will flash just fine. Mine was taken from T-Mobile and I flashed all versions till B122 with normal method.

B122 is a leaked version. Last official is B111. I use B122 without any problems and I thinks it is a better than B111.

That is probably lekaed versions. Correct me if i'm wrong.
And is this versions International?
I found B111 on Huawei international site, this should be International version
B117 i found on Chinese Huawei site to download,
so probably this is stable versions. Correct me if i'm wrong.

B111 is official international version. While B118, 119, 122 are leaked international versions.
Chinese firmwares on the other hand got no google apps and it got some Chinese apps. Don't use B117, its 2 months older and some users have got their phone screwed up cause of it. Chinese got new one recently and i believe an official new international would be out too.

I doubt B119 is latest. Because someone mentioned that when checking the last edited date of file, the B119 is one month older to B122. I have also read some people who used both say they prefer B122. But difference would be barely noticeable i guess.
And B112 is similar to B111. Just that certain countries got it as OTA update. And UK users even got a B116 as an OTA update.
But anyway it terms of performance and stability as for now, then B119 and B122 are the choices. Now just gotta wait for reviews of the new Chinese B118 and maybe a new official international version.

B118, B119 and B122 are leaked international version. B117 is ROM for China and it don't have a Gapps. Try B119 or B122 you can not go wrong.

Yes and No. It depends.
locked P6 root
if yours locked try to get root with kingoroot program ,you can easliy find it Google search,after root ,install cwm and flash gapps 4.4.2,remember when reboot your phone is fix the root,and you can root again same way

It doesnt matter what version of TWRP this guide is using, the fact is IT IS SURE WAY TO FLASH B014 ON AN INTERNATIONAL ASCEND P6.
Stick to the guide to avoid bricking your phone.

B014 is Chinese firmware sure ?
Can u do dload Update from Intrenational firmware to the Chinese one without unlock bootloader?

Yes u must be on B125 International and yes u can flash the modified Chinese firmware alongside the files by Team Fly.
I installed Kitkat yesterday with this method i didnt encounter any problems(excepting a bunch of apps closing when u first start your phone but once u start them for the second time they work without any issue).
From what i could tell from reading several pages of posts on the German forum, not even a single phone was bricked.
But i must warn u, the beta version of Kitkat isnt worth it:
1. It lacks immersive mode
2. It still uses Dalvik instead of ART
If u are going to update you are updating purely for Emui 2.3

I've downloaded all of the files but I couldn't install it throw the instruction.
when I wanted to install the twrp nothing happened.
It says Err2 flash or something like this.
My android is 4.2.2 and the bulid number is p6-u06v100r001c00b118
my Emtion UI version is 1.6.
how do I have to update my android ?

First of all you are on B118. You need to be on B125 to flash kitkat.

You can only install twrp over unlocked firmware. So first you have to update to Kitkat beta (which is an unlocked firmware) the normal way through settings> local update,

I want to install this rom on my Huawei Ascend P6. Now i have installed OMNI Rom 4.4.4. Soo i must have a B508 official firmware, but i dont know how to install, because i dont know how to use dload (i hope that you understand what i mean).
The next question is what is the MIUI Patchrom Project and how to use it ?
When i install the B508 i just flash MIUI V5 with TWRP recovery ?

Don't need to go under B508 your bootloader is already unlocked with OmniRom and you are already under kitkat too don't forget to fullwipe before flashing Miui. You can install it with TWRP.
If you want to follow the instruction: install Official KitKat firmware (like B513 through twrp) then official Kitkat recovery with adb then B508 through dload method. Then install CWM and follow the instructions
Miui patchroom project is the way to port miui. How to use it : Don't know try to search a tuto on en.miui.com or google
