[Q] my new ascend p6

hello everyone,
i recently purchased this cute phone ascend p6 its nice good design and usage but i found some issues as follows...
-how to remove vibrations on unlocking the screen?
-facebook sync contacts not working...
-volume and music volum are not that good during highest level
-wifi drops even on standby... ( wifi suddenly drops 10-15sec. den it will comeback again.same rotation even on active or screen off standby)
-firmware, i tried to check the latest firmware....
(settings>about phone>software update>online update ) and it said new version is available b118 via 9/27/2013
is it safe to download that b118? coz my current version is b107 since i bought it week ago,
and would this update fix my issues,and updating from 107-b118 via same method (settings>about phone>software update>online update) is safe? coz im afraid it would make bigger problems and issues,or might break the phone..... im a long tme user of sony xperia's and galaxy s3 and s4 i update easly with same way just wana ask if huawei ascend p6 has the same way too... tnx...

B118 is Chinese version of the firmware. My suggestion is to try B125. It is the international version of firmware and there lot of your issues are fixed.

but sir.... i checked the method as i mentioned above, only b118 is availble coming...
its same way how i used to update before my sony and samsung phones.
settings>about phone>software update>online
is it good way too to my new ascend p6?

First, there is B118 CN version and B118 International version, and yes it is safe to update your phone if you have OTA update.
Second, you can download latest leaked B125 and update your phone via local update (search the forums how to do that).
All your problems are old firmware related.
IMPORTANT. Just don't update CHINESE firmwares like B118CN because you will have big chances to brick your phone.

The option to disable unlock vibration is not available as of yet. It will be available on EMUI 2.0 update coming end of January.

its the international version, chinese one is ...C17B118 instead of C00B118

Yes OTA update is possible. The one coming through OTA would be specific to your region and not all regions get it. You can update yours that way or alternatively download the leaked B125 and do a local update.
The B118 your getting is international version (not chinese) and this was available as leak a month ago. The B125 leak is a more newer firmware.

its just like im afraid that having this way or method of updating my p6 cause me more probs and issues more than i mentioned above...
my wifi is fast and updating is so slow....

249mb updating from b107-b118 package,
in 8hours of updating and with my fast internet only this p6 working just to finish its update but waaaaaaahhhh
out of 249 mb.... only 152mb just fnish in 8hours... so i need more time >_<

Hello , i got Huawei Ascend p6 with B103 firmware Jelly bean 4.2.2 , and i want to upgrade to 4.4.2 Kitkat B506 CN version ,so my quastion is , do i have to upgrade first at B125 ,than to BETA kitkat, than to the official Kitkat b506?
Can some one give me the right suggestion thanks

You can upgrade directly to B506 but make a backup of the stuff you wanna keep otherwise its not completely safe for the data on the phone

[Q] Can I update?

Hi guys,
I'm new to android and I was wondering if I can update my Ascend p6 in any way. I see there are non-official ROMs as well as the official Chinese kitkat update, but are these reliable? and if so which is best?
I would like to update but only if it would be stable. Can I update?

Upgrade it to B506 or B507, stock ROM's, KitKat.

You are runnig B112. Search the forum for posts about how to upgrade, there are a few good ones.

Gone for a while... Can someone help me?

Hello guys, i was gone for a while because i was studying and now i'd like to update my phone.
I opened samsung Kies and i saw there is an update available.
Current Version: PDA:NK1/PHONE:NK1/CSC:NK1 (EUR)
Latest Version: PDA:NK4/PHONE:NK4/CSC:NL1 (EUR)
Which android version is the latest from above? Is it Lolipop? If not, how can i install the official Lolipop firmware? Also, my phone is rooted and after the update id like to do it again. I have the LTE model (i9195).
My device has android 4.4.2 installed.

I dont think official lollipop is /will be available for any of the galaxy s4 mini models. I would advise you to go to sammobile.com and look for the latest firmware for your device(Region specific) and download it. It will be the latest one and it will also serve as a backup official firmware. There after you can root your device(or do any other experiments for that matter), if something goes wrong there is a backup to fall back on.
