[Q] N7105 (Note 2 LTE) Variants ? - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all
This question is not about specific N7105 variants.
I was looking at widgetcity.com.ph and they list the N7105 LTE as 4G - LTE 700 MHz Class 17 / 2100 - N7105
webiste here: http://www.widgetcity.com.ph/product/mobile-phone/samsung/samsung-note-ii-lte-version-n7105
however...
Negri Electronics say 4G - LTE 800 / 1800 / 2600
website here: http://negrielectronics.com/samsung...-16gb-unlocked-marble-white.html#.UJ9xFIYVJfw
Does it mean they vary depending on regions ?
I am in UK and I want to get one that will work in UK as well as USA..... any advise appreciated...

[Q] list of bands/freqs per region

So I'm looking at GSM arena, and it says 4G Network LTE 700 (region specific) - I've googled everywhere and I can't find a list of the different versions/regions/varieties of nexus phones that are coming out. Am I just a bad googler? Or is there really no details out there showing which phone(s) sold in which countries have what bands in them?
bump. anyone's google searching better than mine is?

as far as i've seen there is only one GSM variation released so far and its an unlocked "european version". i have it and it works pretty well on tmobile.
Taking from Expansys a big retailer for this device currently shows:
HSPA+ 21Mbps/HSUPA 5.76Mbps 850/900/1900/1700/2100 / Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz / (Band frequency, HSPA availability, and data speed are operator dependent)
http://www.expansys-usa.com/google-nexus-prime-android-smartphone-unlocked-16gb-224148/
The Newegg listing for this device shows:
GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz
UMTS 850 / 900 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100 MHz
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16875176322
Hope that helps! Definitely a great device!
OK. Was wondering if any of the variants had both GSM and some flavor of LTE in it. Thanks for the input.

No. Not yet. Or maybe never. There are several versions of nexus but as of now only two known variations concerning radio.

N7105 Not working 3G on Argentina

Hello i bought my N7105 on China. It works perfectly but my problem is that in Argentina i have only EDGE signal for Internet Not 3g.
I wish to know because i read a lot.. Because i think my celphone was europe version or korean version, never will know.
I think that the problem is that my UMTS is working on different bands ( 850 and 2100) and in Argentina we use ( 850-1900) so i Would like to know if it`s possible to install a N7100 south american modem to fix it, or what..
N7100 Firmware and Modems.
Just Modems N7100
Search for N7105 Modems (Haven`t Found Yet)
Or i can`t use 3G in Argentina.
Thanks anow Hope u can Help Me
I can Add in What bandwidth work our companies here.
Band V (W-CDMA 850)
Band II (W-CDMA 1900)
I think my company is working on 1900. Personal Argentina.
When i go to WCDMA only find Movistar. That they say works on the Band V. So i think my phone is only working on Band 850 and maybe 2100 also because i bought on Hong Kong.
Anyone can check with IMEI or something?
Is there any way to change the Band to Band II?
Thanks a lot
I need an answer please !! :good:
According to gsm arena, the n7105 is not compatible with 3G the 1900mhz band.
3G Network - HSDPA 850 / 900 / 2100 - N7105
4G NetworkLTE - 800 / 900 / 1800 / 2600 - N7105
I know that it's not an easy suggestion but have you considered changing providers?
Cheers

N7105 can only support 850/2100mhz band,so if there is 1900mhz 3g band in your area, it will be a problem

[Q] Understanding carriers network bands

The article below came up today explaining how T-Mobile network improvements will make it possible for canadian iPhone users to not only have to rely on AT&T when roaming in the US.
http://mobilesyrup.com/2013/03/26/f...e-how-t-mobiles-lte-network-affects-canadians
Looking at the specs of our i747(m) from this link below, the device supports the following bands :
2G - GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G - HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100
4G - LTE 700 MHz Class 17 / 2100
Now, where does AWS stand in all of this and if a carrier rolls out a non-AWS LTE network, what other standards/protocols are available ?
What about UMTS?
Moreover, why are our phones called "pentaband phones" when, from the list above, the phone actually support 9 bands ( 4 2G bands + 3 3G bands + 2 LTE bands = 9 bands total)
Trying to make sense of all this but it just doesn't add up
Thanks in advance

International LTE coverage and phone bands

band 7 2600 Supported by i337 and m919 band 7 used in Europe and Canada
The i337 (AT&T model) does the same LTE bands as the T-Mobile model. It only lacks AWS HSPA+ (3G), which the mod in this thread enables. I would have gotten the M919, but T-Mobile doesn't sell the 32GB model, plus AT&T variants are generally cheaper.
No model sold in the US (including the i9505G Google Edition) will do 800 or 2600 MHz. The i337M does though (Rogers Canada). Europe uses completely different LTE frequencies than the US.[/QUOTE] END QUOTE

I337 Specs "samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones/SGH-I337ZWAATT-specs"
Frequencies and Data Type LTE: Bands 1/4/7/17; HSPA+/UMTS: 850/1900/2100MHz; GSM: 850/900/1800/1900MHz
The m919 according to this supports 2 and 5 bands that the i337 does not, i am new to this but as i said i picked this phone for international use aswell and would like to know the truth. But according to my information, Vodaphone in Germany uses to main bands 7 and 20. 7 Being the one that the US variant could receive.
since the I337 is basically the same in Canada, i looked up Bell
Bell :
Bell Canada 1700 4 FDD September 2011 [75][76]
Bell Canada 2600 7 FDD March 2012 [77] available in Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge and Toronto for additional bandwidth.
Both 4 and 7 are support by both devices, since 7 is on freq 2600mhz in Canada and is the same I337 as AtnT would it not be right to assume that the phone could get band 7 in europe? It is true that AtnT does not use those bands in the US but that does not mean the phone cannot support them. Furthermore i picked the M919 because of its native AWS support and the 30$ 5GB 4GLTE Tmobile Plan BOYA talk about savings..... I am curious to know if im correct, my research lends me to think I am. Europe uses mostly band 3 and 7! 7 Being the one you want!
Specs for Bells S4
bell.ca/Mobility/Products/Samsung-Galaxy-S4/Specifications.tab
LTE compatibility
700/AWS/850/1900/2100/2600 MHz
HSPA/UMTS compatibility
850/1900/2100 MHz
GPRS/EDGE compatibility
850/900/1800/1900 MHz
They list there LTE in MHz but i believe 2600 IS band 7 which the US variants support. My confusion is that AWS is listed in there LTE part and in the US its under the HSPA part. A little clarification and first hand experience with internation use of US variant S4s would be great for poeple who have trouble getting good information from the other side of the world!!
Worst case tho im sure you can always get texting and calling and stick to Wi-Fi while travelling, but to us super-users, thats like going back to dial up.
Lol why are you copying and pasting my posts? As for your question, AWS is used for LTE on T-Mobile (and in very few areas by AT&T, which is why their devices also do AWS LTE). However, AT&T requests that AWS HSPA+ be disabled on their devices because they only use 850/1900 MHz for HSPA+ and it would only benefit those looking to switch to T-Mobile if they left that 1700 MHz band activated.

[Q] HTC One M8 4G in india (Purchased in Malaysia)

Hi Guys,
I purchased HTC one M8 in Malaysia. It supports following 4G frequencies.
LTE 700 / 900 / 1800 / 2100 / 2600
Now I am shifted to India. Here it supports 4G LTE 2300 MHz only.
I already got 4.4.3 update.
I need assistance in knowing if Indian 4G will work in my phone? (As I think all Asian models are internally same)
What should I do to get Indian 4G on my phone?
Thanks in advanced

In India, 4G service is very limited. Only a few carriers have adopted the service. Most carriers have no plans as of now. A few smartphones actually support 4G/LTE . Most of what they call 4G, just supports the Dongles.
Well, since you want 4G/LTE support on your device, you could S-OFF, and flash an Indian Radio. Correct me if I'm wrong, I think flashing an Indian rom would get your job done, since the device does have the 4G/LTE hardware. :good:
