Why does the One S take much better photos?

The quality difference between the one s and one x are huge. Take a look at the android central one s review for proof (I can't post links).
Any idea why?
It could be that they use two different sensor modules (which have identical specs)
No real way to tell without doing teardowns of both phones.
Perhaps it's a software issue doue to tegra3 drivers and such...? I reckon it will be better once the updates start flowing
reviews say it's the other way around...X photos are better than S
My mate in work has the s, i was doing a comparison yesterday, look much the same to me.
There is actually a YouTube x one vs sensation xe camera and the one x is way too low for quality ,after watching the video I gave xe a 10 ,the one x a 2 ,yes its that bad

It's probably difficult to say because we were not there where the picture was taken so we don't know which one was closer to reality.
But the S one does appear nicer, while the X one is like washed out. But this could be simply due to different exposure. Downloading both and adjusting exposure in Photoshop so the pictures would match would allow for better comparison.
Or maybe S comes with newer software that doesn't do as much postprocessing as X does. I guess camera mod will fix that for us.
I don't have an issue with the One X's photos, aside from the fact they're brutally over-sharpened.
i get an odd yellow tinge when i click photos on my htc on x..is anyone exp the same prob? im wondering if its a defect and should i get it changed..
also the yellowness seems to reduce considerably when the sharpness is reduced..

I found that reducing the saturation by one level solved it completely. The default camera settings are terrible. The yellow problem seems to kick in when there is low light - I found outdoor shots in full sun didn't have the yellow problem (so far - only had the phone about 4 hours!).

[Q] Camera quality?

hey really stupid question, but i noticed my friend's infuse camera takes super awesome gorgeous photos day and night, with almost no noise and comes out SUPER crisp. and i was wondering, is it possible to replace the actual rear camera of the SII with an infuse camera? would that in anyway improve the picture quality? or is the problem with how the SII takes ****ty ass night pictures a software thing? could someone shed some light on this please? i mean if it's simply as easy as using a different camera app, which would you recommend? i'm on ics, and i tried installing to use the miui apk, but its not working, so i guess that one's outta the equation. i know there's a lot of experienced people prowling these threads, so please shed some light and don't flame me. thank you guys and girls!

for stock and cm9

Hi, one question that stick to my mind about picture quality.
I would like to know a compare picture or vdo. could someone can light me out.

[Q] Lg G3 Low light Video test

Guys,
Just a quick q before I go and purchase this set. Is the G3 plauged with the same laggy low light video recording like the G2? That was the one thing that put me off the G2 big time coming from a Galaxy S4. I have been searching online to see a low light video test recording but I have been unable to find one. Everyone keeps talking about the camera, low light shots and laser focusing, but no one mentions how good or bad it is in low light video recording.
If you own one already, can you please shed some light? Or better yet, can you post a video somewhere? Something with a lot of moving subjects in very low light. This would really be useful to me. I know it does 4K too, but not entirely sure of how good that is either. A video of both would be great.
Furthermore, what is your take on this phone? How much better is it compared to the G2? I have had a G2 for 6 months now. The battery life is the best I have experienced but it gradually declines in strength or maybe its the amount of apps that I keep putting on it. I have done a full reset twice to fix the problem, but the battery is not as good as it was when I started using the phone. I wish there was an app that would give true usage of the battery, I dont trust the android battery app.
Anyways, lets focus on the most important questions, whats the video like in low light?
What I have heard the G3 is better in low light but still have the watercolor effect. The shutter speed is a bit lower than G2 some reviwer said. I'll think that low-light is an Achilles for most cameras with the same sensor, optics and pixel. This is what HTC wanted to fight with the 2um sensor and Apple with 1.5. Still it's more or less the same technology as before and the results should be in line with that. Better software and other ways of doing stuff like focus but the baseline sets the restriction.

The best part is it can all be edited and configured!
Will be ditching my S5 for the G3 ASAP! and I'm a heavy camera/video user.
I'd like to know the answer too..not just about low light, but in general, regarding the video.
Don't forget, we have a modded camera.apk now, thanks to Gishnu and Hendrickson.

It's low light 4K video of Hong Kong, hope this helps.
I'm curious about it too, and also if it can cope with very high volume recording, like videos of concerts and stuff...

[Q] HTC Desire 816 Camera Blurry

After last update, camera of my HTC is taking blurry images. Its not too much blurry but there is significant different in quality of pictures compared to earlier times.
Do anyone among you guys experience same problem ?
P.S. It also dropped once but that wasn't of high impact. I don't know if its due to that.
