hi tp2 users, have a question on the quality of tp2's camera. can it take pic of newspaper, legibly. my work sometime requires me to take pic of newspaper so tht i can make reference later.
so can tp2 camera capture a readable pic of newspaper? thx
Do you have a touch Pro2? If so just try it yourself. I have taken pictures of articles and they come out just fine. Mind you it has to be in good lighting.
no problemo at all, it's just how u take the picture from the news paper.
tbh i find the quality of the camera quite impressive although i find the color quality to be off at times but like the guy menitoned above its just how you take the pic
one tip from what i heard, if you turn off widescreen under camera settings, the quality of the picture will come up better which i dont see any difference
here are some examples of what i took
P.S. i had to resized them so i can upload on XDA, true resolution is 2048x1216
thx guys. u guys rock.so i m now going to buy myself a TP2!!!
you should definitely read this whole thread to get the most out of your TP2 camera

Hi folks,
I wonder why the picture quality regarding nightshots, illumination,... is really poor on AOSP Roms (Oxygen 2.0 for example). Last evening I took a shot with an extremly blueish tint.
The DHD camera app performs much better even in lower light situations and I get really nice pictures out of it.
Why is that? Is the HTC camera app just a better peace of software? Or is there a camera app for AOSP Roms I haven't found yet?
Thanks in advance
+1 Had the same experience... this is what is keeping me stick with sense Roms...
hey really stupid question, but i noticed my friend's infuse camera takes super awesome gorgeous photos day and night, with almost no noise and comes out SUPER crisp. and i was wondering, is it possible to replace the actual rear camera of the SII with an infuse camera? would that in anyway improve the picture quality? or is the problem with how the SII takes ****ty ass night pictures a software thing? could someone shed some light on this please? i mean if it's simply as easy as using a different camera app, which would you recommend? i'm on ics, and i tried installing to use the miui apk, but its not working, so i guess that one's outta the equation. i know there's a lot of experienced people prowling these threads, so please shed some light and don't flame me. thank you guys and girls!
Hi, im a photo geek.
I like using my 4s as my point and shoot.
Uncle came from Europe with the S3. was impressed with the phone and day time photos. Noticed his led flash was to blue when shooting pics with flash. The 4s does better. Thought it was just his phone.
Got my hands on a US copy and its the same thing.
Anyone got any advice except to turn it off.
This phone shoots misleading shots.
Image is sharp when snapped. ( it looks good )
Then when viewing its all blurry shots.
Any camera mods that may help?
im rooted too.
Your in a league of your own bud. My LED isn't blue at all and my photos look fine when looking at them. But I would like to see some camera mods also the international version has lots of camera mods that really up the quality

I dont find the flash blue but I do agree the pictures are not the best indoors.
My OneX took amazing pictures once the saturation was adjusted. Or maybe it is just me and I take lousy shots.

I dont know if anyone else has noticed or just passed it off as a fluke thought, but I noticed a slight to moderate downgrade in cam quality with stock settings on the cam from my first white s4 to my now black s4 both .
The white one seemed way better quality like it was the true 13mp its said to be.. but my black s4 just seems shotty*
I cant compare to anyone else's in person but plan to.
Anyone compared with a buddys s4 and felt the same bizarre thoughts:what:

at stock settings the camera is 9megapixels so it can maintain 16x9 aspect ratio

I know that its set to 9.6 mp stock im talking in any mpixel setting even 13mp.
Im just trying to see if anyone sees this as a real possibility of quality defect that lies between one device from another.

do you have pictures from each phone? i have the black one and it looks fine
Almost certain you had a dirty lens. Happens everytime. Most of the time you won't notice it until you start getting crappy pics.
Watch out for case's altering pics with flash. Not sure if this is the issue but just wanted to remind
I think just like any hardware you're going to have some bad ones or in this case not as good. This isn't the first time I've seen this type of thing. I've had so many phones throughout the years and in some cases when I get a replacement the camera is not as good as the previous. I just exchange it again and hope the next one is better.
You sure you took the plastic film off the camera lens? I know, dumb question, but took me a few days to realize it was there.
How do you change 9.6 to the full 13mp?
Edit: nvmind found it havent messed much with the camera
