After last update, camera of my HTC is taking blurry images. Its not too much blurry but there is significant different in quality of pictures compared to earlier times.
Do anyone among you guys experience same problem ?
P.S. It also dropped once but that wasn't of high impact. I don't know if its due to that.

Is it just me, or does the camera on the Desire really suck? Don't get me wrong, provided the subject or scene is perfectly still along with my hand, it will take really nice pictures. But if there is any movement of any kind it just blurs the images. I suspect the desire camera must have a really slow shutter speed that is causing this. If only there was some kind of adjustment for this, but i cannot see one.
I previously owned the nokia N95 8GB and the camera was far superior even on this 3 year old phone. I think the scene modes for portrait/sports/night etc helped adjust the camera very well and would have been a very useful addition to the desire IMO.
Other the the camera, the Desire is a fantastic phone. So if anyone has a workaround to help counter the blurry issue, it would be much appreciated

I agree this was the first thing I learned when playing about with the Desire and im taking pictures flawlessly now, a definate 5 Mega Pixel improvement over my old iPhone 3G (R.I.P)/iPhone 2G/G1 cameras
I have been using my HTC Mozart 7 for a month now.
Lately ive been seeing a very big problem with almost all my photos in scenery shots.
The right side appears sharp but the left side is blurry. Very consistent problem and the lighting is very bright and sunny so that shouldnt affect it.
Anyone have any idea if this is a fault or is it just with my camera
It ruined my venice photos very badly

I found a website review about Mozart and if you read carefully what it says about camera section, you will see he has the same problem.
http://www.missuall.com/htc-mozart-2/
Look for "Camera", i took the courtesy to copy/paste the paragraph i was referring to
Next is the image quality of the camera. Despite the 8 megapixel resolution, the camera does not deliver the level of detail that one would expect. The details are all smudged by the noise reduction algorithm, which seems to be working overtime on the Mozart and despite that it is unable to get rid of noise completely, which is still fairly obvious. The lens also seems to have a defect, where the left area was blurred. The camera also uses a fairly slow shutter speed that affects low-light photography adversely, as images often come out blurry.
Also this topic talks a little bit about Mozart too even though its about Trophy

I cant believe im the only one with this issue.....
sooooooooooo unlucky!!!!!!!
The quality difference between the one s and one x are huge. Take a look at the android central one s review for proof (I can't post links).
Any idea why?
It could be that they use two different sensor modules (which have identical specs)
No real way to tell without doing teardowns of both phones.
Perhaps it's a software issue doue to tegra3 drivers and such...? I reckon it will be better once the updates start flowing
reviews say it's the other way around...X photos are better than S
My mate in work has the s, i was doing a comparison yesterday, look much the same to me.
There is actually a YouTube x one vs sensation xe camera and the one x is way too low for quality ,after watching the video I gave xe a 10 ,the one x a 2 ,yes its that bad

It's probably difficult to say because we were not there where the picture was taken so we don't know which one was closer to reality.
But the S one does appear nicer, while the X one is like washed out. But this could be simply due to different exposure. Downloading both and adjusting exposure in Photoshop so the pictures would match would allow for better comparison.
Or maybe S comes with newer software that doesn't do as much postprocessing as X does. I guess camera mod will fix that for us.
I don't have an issue with the One X's photos, aside from the fact they're brutally over-sharpened.
i get an odd yellow tinge when i click photos on my htc on x..is anyone exp the same prob? im wondering if its a defect and should i get it changed..
also the yellowness seems to reduce considerably when the sharpness is reduced..
help someone..i recently bought the htc one x..thank you

I found that reducing the saturation by one level solved it completely. The default camera settings are terrible. The yellow problem seems to kick in when there is low light - I found outdoor shots in full sun didn't have the yellow problem (so far - only had the phone about 4 hours!).
If a buy htc one x is there a possibility in the future with a custom rom the camera match the quality of galaxy s3 both in video (higher bit rate and fps) and pictures (not so much noise)?
I love the build quality of one x and the amazing display but i am more close to buying a galaxy s3 at the moment because of the better camera so it's important for me if a developer answer honestly my question above.
thank you in advance

htc has a better camera for photos definitely but i'ld say that the first video s3 won (guy brushing though fence)and second htc one won (road with guy on bike) over all s3 does videos better until some works out a mod for the one x.
You'r a bit off
Hi
I don't understand what you mean, Galaxy SIII doesn't have any pros in case of Camera
The camera quality in One X is much better, taking better and faster pictures (Thanks to dedicated processor for camera) and has the ability to take 1080p 30fps video, which is exactly what SGS3 can do And also with it's 2.0f optic, it takes much better pictures in low light (which is what people have in they're normal life :| )
In fact when it comes to Camera, The HTC One X has the higher hand...

i have to agree with you that htc one x is better in low light but i saw a lot of videos in youtube from both phones and i belive galaxy s3 has by far a better video at the moment. As for picture quality from a lot of samples a saw i believe the one x takes very good shots but with a lot of noise compared to the galaxy s3
Auto mode for the one x camera is not the best mode.Try HDR mode, the photos you take will look awesome,it's sharper and more beautiful.Definitely better than S3 in my opinion.
I have the HOX since 3 days ago and i must say that pictures in low light are much worse and blurry compared to the ones i took with my previous Galaxy S2. It's something I'm doing wrong ? Thanks in advance

Video brightness and saturation, which are software related, Yes, SGS3 is a bit better (Resolution and frame rate is the same though, 1080p 30fps)
And you're right, you get more noise in One X, that's because of the weird ISO configuration and I don't know why it's like that, You should take it out of auto and play with the options manually, gets a lot better, or use HDR if you're a noob in photography)

For being f/2.0, it really doesn't take that great of dark shots in my opinion.
I think a lot of the HOX issues are due to compression on pictures and video though. I saw a thread talking about using other apps for less compression, but results seemed mixed.

The compression in pictures doesn't do much, icscamera has 4 mb files stock about 2 and stock is still better and the compression on videos is just audio, its the fps drops that need to be sorted really.

Hi guys. Anyone use desire hd camera and test with one v/one s/one x/or maybe other htc phone. And which phone camera is the best?
How is the DHD camera performance?
The DHD camera's great, but again everything is relative, the device exists over two and a half.
No doubt of the specified devices 'ONE' exceeds all
And if you ask because he has "only" 4 megapixels, so be relaxed in terms of image quality is supposed to be better quality because larger pixels
