Ever since DST ended, my time on my phone is all over the place. What is sprint doing. Have others had this issue.

Mine changes every now and then too. I'm in Chicagoland, but only happens to me downtown

Go figure. I'm chicagoland as well..

Mine jumped a timezone on DST morning and set back two hours. It took about 2 hours before sprint finally got the time and time zone right.
Both my sprint phones have been doing this, and if I uncheck the "use network time" option it just reverts later. Pissing me off! Also in Chicago.

Also in Chicagoland here, mine jumped back the hour for DST and switched to Mountain time zone. I manually changes the zone back to Central that day, but have since selected the network time option and things have been fine.

same here when i'm in chicago. quite annoying, the issue with manual time setting is that when you reboot the phone, it messes the time up by a lot and then whatsapp displays an error message about time being off.
also, 3g data speed is abysmal and 4g data speed is what's passes for 3g speed on other networks. and random reboots on stock FI27 with 4ish hour battery life. looks like it's about time to check out a 4.1 rom.
I live in Chicago and am also having the same issue. When DST ended my phone dropped an hour then around 1400hrs it jumped ahead to the Eastern time zone. It holds for a while by changing back to Central time zone but always reverts back. I will be giving Sprint a call and let you know what they say.
I live by midway airport and the same thing happens to me. I just chose to set the date and time manually and it doesnt change anymore.

Is anybody else having problems with the time change staying correct?
Both mine and my wife's phones won't keep the correct time.
I have called Verizon and the only thing they say is to set the date/time to manual.
I don't see why they won't fix their crap.
I have tried the *228 number and done both options and the time still won't hold.
Any ideas?
BTW: my wife's phone is the Samsung Fascinate (stock not rooted).
EDIT: it seems as though Verizon fixed it sometime within the past few hours.
It was just daylight savings time, could that be what your problem is?
Yes. Neither one of our phones will keep the correct time zone.
And it started when the time was supposed to change over.
In the Settings > Date & time menu is the option to use the networks' time. And for some reason it will change the time zone from central time to central mountain time.

Is anyone else having issues receiving text messages? Mine have been coming in out of sequence using the stock messaging app.

No problems here, but I know my messages would always be in and out of order if I was roaming. Are you roaming or do you have a decent signal? If your messages are out of order when you have signal, there's something weird going on with your phone.
Mine dont come in order either, I am using handcent and Im on an airave.
Well, there's your problem. Airave . I have a love hate relationship with mine. I've had several phones in the past few years since its been out, and all phones have had connection problems with the airave . Text messages don't go thru, even tho they look like they did. They show up repeatedly, both sent and received. They arrive hours to days later. Its the airave . If I'm out and about with decent signal, all phones have behaved well. At home connected to airave , not so much. Drives me and my wife nuts. I have no other options at home since I get no cell reception at all, and this is my only form of communication. Like I said, love hate. Resetting the airave , and doing a prl update on the phone helps, for a little while. YMMV.

I am in the same boat, no signal here. I did put prl 24006 on my phone and do get a signal without the airave, but hubby's phone doesnt get a signal at all so we still have to have it on for a bit more until he gets his note. Then I will be putting the prl on his phone too.
you might try it, link:

Thank you so much! It took me forever to figure out how to do it. I used edit instead of view after the ##3282# and entered my MSL, and the option to write prl was not there. Hit view by mistake and saw it for the first time today. I did load a different corporate prl. 56009.PRL. So far its giving me full bars and LTE while I'm sitting on my couch. Normally I get zilch. I'm gonna load it into my wife's SIII in the morning and see the reaction in her face when she sees full bars and the airave unplugged. Thanks!

Your welcome!
Pretty much what the title says.
Every day, maybe 3-4 times, I won't be able to send or receive text messages. Text messages won't arrive until I reboot.
No error messages pop up unless I reboot.
Anyone else experiencing this? Else I might get a replacement.

I don't think it's the phone, my fiance's Evo LTE has done that at least a couple times and I saw it on Saturday night, Sunday morning. I actually called Sprint to report it as I'm sure it's a network issue and as soon as I made a call, as I ended the call, the flood of texts and notifications started coming in. Please report it. The next time it happens, I plan to report it using a good phone so I can show them that nothing is hitting the affected phone. Still, with that being said I think it's a network issue rather than phone related specifically, almost like the towers are not returning a signal when the phone pings them, but the phone is not smart enough to think there's a problem.
Anyway, not sure what your home situation is, but to test it, my fiance was alerted to the fact when my brother called her to ask if I was getting any messages. She tried to call me and it went straight to voicemail. Texts never hit my phone at all....until I tried a test call which worked just fine and as soon as I ended the call, a deluge of notifications kept coming through from the night before.
Please report it. Test it if you have someone at home that can try and text or call you as well.
Hope that helps...of course if you want to swap out the phone for a replacement, then by all means
My father (works for sprint) said they're working on towers around our house, so that's the issue.
Thanks for the input
But no one in my family seems to have this issue. Not the HTC Evo 3D, Motorola Photon Q, Galaxy S3, or that indestructible military phone. So maybe it's linked to the no/low bars I get, even though I live in a 5-bar LTE network?

I think its a network thing. Happened with my photon s2 s3 and the og
from my exp it's a network thing too...I work in the basement of a hospital and I can't get much down there
I'm having too many issues with this phone. I'm probably going to go with an GS3. Shame, the screen quality is amazing, but I can't live with 2-8 hour delayed text messages.
Signal bar is working 5% of the time.
Weird wifi settings, lack of developer support, rushed–production bugs, and other nicks just make this a 'once you know me, you'll hate me' type–deal.
Sad, I really like this phone.

And you're going to go with a Samsung for signal? Good luck. Samsung is the worst in signal strength.

If you have a Sprint Airwave as well, that could be the issue. I've had the same issue because of it.
After you come home, you have to wait until your phone picks up the signal from the Airwave, vice outside.
Or sometimes you just have to reboot your Airwave.
Just giving another possible problem.
I had a similar issue. I could not receive calls or text messages for several hours, and the only reason I noticed is because I got yelled at for not answering my phone :/ I had several people with me when I noticed the issue so I had them call me and it would sound like the phone is ringing for the caller but my phone never rang and if they sent a text I didn't get it. Outgoing calls and texts worked fine though, which is strange. After several hours I received a flood of messages and everything worked OK.
I feel your frustration with the phone's rush to production issues. The text typing issue and the issue with mobile data after being on WiFi for several hours are driving me nuts. I am holding out that this is fixed with the coming update or a developer ROM because the hardware is impressive.

Just happened to me the first time. Airave Support said next time, call them and they can remotely reboot the Airave, which should release the phone after a reboot (and possibly an Update Profile). He said if it keeps happening they'll send me a newer 2.5 Airave to see if that clears the issue. Though for me outgoing calls/texts worked, it was just incoming that I couldn't get.
I don't have a Sprint Airwave.
I have a clear - 107 dBm 33 asu signal.
It's happening about twice a week now. Hopefully it's just a tower thing.
Still would like to see my signal while using Wifi though.

So my phone randomly dropped 3g signal, stopped texting, can't make calls. Idk what to do, I've tried ##scrtn# multiple times, it fails.
The phone number in settings is wrong too

If it just started randomly you may want to Check the Sprint Site, or Call them. To see if they are doing any work on the Towers in your area. The link below has a map you can check for work in your area. Just select your City, or enter the location you want to check.

Nothing.
My mom's phone is working great, same device and carrier.
No issues on the maps.
And it's now around 16 hours in.
I've tried ##scrtn# this morning twice, nothing, it even lost my phone number and username in settings.
Meid seems good though.

When you say your dialing the reactivation code are you in fact dialing
##72786#??

I to am having the same problem, I woke up this morning and no signal, I haven't done anything to the phone so not sure why this happened, I'm stock rooted and when I use the dial code nothing happens, it just stays on the dial screen, any suggestions. It is raining in Boston so maybe that's why.
Stock Rooted SG3
Maybe you need to pay your cell phone bill
All kidding aside you dialed the code exactly as its written ##72786# no deviation. Because regardless off weather it should attempt to reactivate your phone to the network.

Thanks for replying with a joke. After about 2 hours of no service it started working. I was saying about the weather cuz it was raining like crazy around here so wasn't sure if it knocked out a cell tower or something but regardless it's working.

So this morning my phone advanced the time an hour.
Im on Verizon and have auto timezone checked..
The problem is I live in Phx. We dont do daylight savings. How can their network still be getting this wrong after so many years?
I know I can go manual time but then it doesnt change when I travel next week.
Any ideas?

Update.. after a prolinged usless chat with vzw, a restart got the time right. Why is this needed? My wife has same device and hers was fine.
I hopeni dont need to restart every time i cange cities when traveling next week
I used to live in AZ and had this happen to me once too. I live in Hawai'i now, and a couple times my phone's time went a little wonky. We don't change time here either.

This happened to me yesterday morning as well. Seems it happens every single time on every single phone I've ever had while on T-Mobile. Luckily I don't rely on phone alarms, like ever, and just go with my good old fashioned alarm clock. I've had the time screw up for me enough times, lol. Phone corrected itself by about 5 in the evening

We're you also logged onto your (or someone else's) WiFi?
The phone can/will pickup the time from the WiFi and if it's not setup for no DST that could have been the cause.... Or not.
