I know the s3 could. Just wondering if anyone has tried. The sprint roms look pretty good.

There are a few other threads addressing this, all you have to do is use the search function, but the general consensus it; if you like having a functioning device don't do it.

I am so confused into all the Jelly Bean ROM's that are out there built from leaks of the International version, or the Tmo version, but what ones WILL work on AT&T with little effort, and witch ones will work with some fiddeling.
I am so confused, and I have read and searched each of them, some the answer was clear, some not so sure.
Android Development is all pretty much TW....nothing to be confused about...just read the OPs.

I understand that they are TW's , but Jelly Bean? and most are some (and most) for the Canadian, and some for AT&T, and the OP's have not been clear other then a few , and some of the searches seem not to be definitive. hence why I ask.
The models are the same. Only changes would be maybe adding the lte apn...what rom you interested in?

ALL of them really. if its just the APN, I'm set. I was not sure if there was actualy more to it. (and modem's I assume, witch I have no problem getting and installing)
'
But really, I want one with the majority of the TW feeatures, short of the stupid bloaty stuff. one with CRT would also be nice.. I'm a sucker for that!
Ok I've been on this forum for a good while now but I just recently decided to root. I'm about 3 weeks in.
My Current Stats:
Samsung Galaxy S III T999 (White 16GB)
ROM: FrostyJB_4.1.1-v3(BLUE)
KERNEL: KT747- 10/09/2012
RECOVERY: CWMTR v6.0.1.2
I haven't had any problems so far that I couldn't figure out by reading through threads. The only thing I couldn't find is information on modems as they relate to different areas. I tried doing a search but no luck. Is there one thread with everything regarding modems. I hate even asking this question because I see folks get rather irritated when they are asked something that's pretty elementary to them. But F*ck it ..I need to know.
Look at the other thread the one edited someone answered you anyway.

Depends on your area
Flash and test them all.

I've been flashing each new one as it comes out. Has worked well for me. Seems Samsung is trying to improve signal strength.

anyone in las vegas and what radio works best for you
I cannot remember how I did this on my skyrocket when I first got it, but can I just flash CWM from Odin, and then flash a CM nightly zip right from there and not have to go through the extra steps of rooting.?
Or can someone tell me the easiest way to go from box to running CM10.
Also if anyone knows, does CM10 keep the features that the gs3 is touted as having (watching a video while doing something else is all that is coming to mind, but things like that)
You shouldb be able to easily root your device using the toolkit..

As for the samsung features (playing video anywhere...etc..) ...you will lose all that on cm10. Those features are touchwiz.

It's definitely worth doing the extra steps, just because you'll ensure a proper root.

I like to use this method, simple and doesn't trip the counter

or just try reading the stickies and not create a thread asking what is posted at the top of the development section??
thread closed.
I'm on my first custom rom (paranoid 2.99) and no matter what I do I get an at&t page to log in to use wifi which is something I never needed to do in stock rom. I also can't use the website to get wifi access so far now it seems like I can't use any At&t wifi spots
So is it common for custom roms not to work? Or is it a potential bug that the developer needs to address?

No one else uses at&t wifi with a custom rom? Or rather has tried to?

Someone claims that it never works and you mention that it does?

Maybe you should have searched before you asked. You wouldn't have conflicting information then.
Also, why are you asking the same question in multiple threads? If you read the forum rules, it should be pretty clear where this sort of thing belongs.
Im wondering if anyone can lead me to a thread or just tell me about dualbooting roms for the sprint sph l710. Ive searched for threads and post couldnt really find anything for my phone or that really made since.

Have you tried boot manager from the play store?
No i havent tried anything yet lol. I like to learn b4 i experiment. But i know nothing about dual booting i just came across something online for it and wanted to try.

I would check to see if boot manager supports the S3...theres a lite version you can test to see if it works
The way it works is that it installs one to /system and the other on your sd...then it just alternates between the two when you wanna boot into the other
But yeah, i came across this too and couldnt get it to work on my Shift
Hopefully it works on the S3, i havent checked yet though so you can give it a shot by just downloading the app :good:
The post i read said on the s3 u can dual boot 2 similar roms like m.o.a.r and t.p.r. for example. So my question is would i be able to use features from each rom at the same time?

No, it would be like dualbooting on a computer...you're either logged into one or the other, theres no overlap
Ok i gotcha. But boot manager doesnt support the s3 only the galaxy nexus :sly:
