[Q] CID 621 JellyBean update - HTC One X

Hello,
as the subject, I have a rooted HOX with Android Revolution HD 9.7.2 installed, HBOOT is 0.95.
I would like to upgrade to JB with Android Revolution HD 12 - I saw the update here: Jelly Bean firmware collection for different Carriers ID (CID) - but all the tools are for different CID.
Is there a specific reason? Do I need to upgrade HBOOT before flashing the JB firmware?
Thank you!

for update jb u need flash new frimware
see this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1920060

I think you are referring to method 2 - that seems in beta...method 1 would be for sure the best one.
the firmware in the link above is not ok for CID 621 (i mean firmware x.xx.709.x)?

[Q] Some questions before flashing Custom ROMs !!

Hi all, ..
I'm going to flash my first custom ROM on my One X but I want to ask some questions first ..
Before asking I'd like to tell you that ..
• My phone's CID is 1.29.708.15 (from Hong Kong)
• I know that we could flash any custom ROM even it wasn't based on the same CID
• I know that we couldn't downgrade the FW except when the phone is S-OFFed
1- Now if I flashed a ROM based on the latest Europe version (2.17.401.2) that means that my CID has changed and I could flash the latest stock RUU of Europe ??
2- If the answer of question 1 is NO then could I return back to my stock ROM even it's older than the custom ROM based on version ?? or my phone will brick ??
I want your help as soon as possible
And thanks to every one who had helped me before and thanks to that great forum

1.29.708.15 is not your CID. It's your software version.
If you flash a custom ROM based on 2.17.401.2, your CID will not change.
To return to stock, you can flash any 708 RUU that is the same or newer than 1.29.708.15, or restore the backup you make before installing the custom ROM.

Thanks very mush & sorry for my annoying questions

i need an older version of RUU

i have a wildifre s Rooted, bootloader unlocked and S-ON. i tried to install many ROMS but none ther than EQDKP sense 3.5 and wildchild ROMS worked for me. I want to install an ICS rom, i have a latest RUU
Software No.: 2.26.720.3
Baseband: 47.23e.35.3038H_7.57.39.10M
some are saying that its due to the version of RUU so my questions are:
can i revert back to an older RUU?
if yes which version should i use. I live in Pakistan so don't see its name in RUU in htcdev, how do i check which country's RUU is working on my device
if this all can be ignored and i can install custom ICS based ROMS than whats the procedure?
ROMS i tried are MIUI v4, ParanoidAndroid, Fresh Ice they are not working for me and i need solution for this please
Regards
I think that you can i stall any RUU

Pretty much all ICS ROMs will work, which means the older versions of the ROMs located in Development section. Also, all CM10, AOSP, AOKP ROMs will work on older hboots. First you need to unlock the bootloader of your device. You can look around for more instructions.
Every ics + aosp+aokp+cm bassed roms

In order to get 4.1.1 update orange has to officially release it correct...?Does anyone have any news about when can we alter the CID and use international roms?

Correct.
For changing cid we need s-off which doesn't seem to be achieved any time soon.

[Q] JB CID?

Hi guys
A while back I switched from ICS to JB with ARHD(15.0), it required flashing a new firmware. later on I flashed CM10. anyway, I was runing JB that time with hboot 1.31.
A few days ago I flashed the venom rom but I didnt realize it was ICS until I saw the new JB ROM.
here is the problem, in the venom thread "Check if you CID is supported, visit http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1957376 for updates:
As I recall back I updated my firmware from that thread by mike and it had my CID which is J_15 but its not there anymore
SO can I flash the venom JB rom or I should wait for the CID???
thanks guys and im sorry for the typos
Your hboot 1.31 should support the new venom JB rom.
You have to have a compatible CID just so that you can upgrade your hboot. And since you are already on a JB ROM, your hboot is already upgraded. Flash away.

Installing Jelly Bean Rom on O2 Device with hboot 1.36

Hello everybody,
i hope my Question is simple, my friend have a HOX with O2 brand and like to root his device for custom roms. My question is, can he install every ROM included the Jelly Bean ROMS. He made the last OTA and his Device runs on hboot 1.36 but he doesn't have the supported CID. Is this needed anymore since the last OTA?
greetings ShrekDTH
Re: [Q] HTC ONE X Will not boot and wont turn off
Provided that you have hboot 1.36, you can flash every ROM out there.
Restrictions apply to AOSP 4.1.2 ROMs, you'll need a special boot.img in order to flash them.
Ok, thx for your answer, my Friend would be happy to hear this
