i need an older version of RUU - HTC Wildfire S

i have a wildifre s Rooted, bootloader unlocked and S-ON. i tried to install many ROMS but none ther than EQDKP sense 3.5 and wildchild ROMS worked for me. I want to install an ICS rom, i have a latest RUU
Software No.: 2.26.720.3
Baseband: 47.23e.35.3038H_7.57.39.10M
some are saying that its due to the version of RUU so my questions are:
can i revert back to an older RUU?
if yes which version should i use. I live in Pakistan so don't see its name in RUU in htcdev, how do i check which country's RUU is working on my device
if this all can be ignored and i can install custom ICS based ROMS than whats the procedure?
ROMS i tried are MIUI v4, ParanoidAndroid, Fresh Ice they are not working for me and i need solution for this please
Regards

I think that you can i stall any RUU

Looking for Stock Rooted ROM

Hi,
I have rooted HTC Desire with latest version LeeDroid on it. I am not satisfied with this version of leedroid. It lags a lot. now i am thinking to try stock rom again. but the problem is if i use it then I wouldn't be able to use any other ROM because it would revoke its "root" status.
could someone suggest me any STOCK ROOT rom?
OR - Some clean rom with Sense ?
Teppic74's rooted stock ROM. Links to all roms here:

ROM Question

So here is a question that I cannot find the answer to. If a ROM like Android Revolution HD is based off the 1.29.401.12 Firmware and I have a 1.29.707.11 based phone, can I install the ROM? I know I would have to unlock and install a custom recovery, but is it possible? I ask because I thought I read somewhere you cant mix firmware updates (ie x.xx.401.xx and x.xx.707.xx) without S-Off or it would cause problems.
Thanks in advance!!

There should be no problem to install latest ARHD ROM. I did it many times coming from stock with different numbers. Any way most of your stock files are reflashed by ROM files. ARHD is universal ROM for any HOX Internatioanal versions.
Since you are replacing the whole firmware, the version of the one you are replacing should not matter.
However, make sure that the new ROM has support for your specific hardware!

Thanks, I shall try the ROM this weekend or next!!

install a new rom

good afternoon
I have a htc desire and would like to install a new rom the phone is unlocked as the operator can do a fresh install and recommend which
Jorge Barata
have you unlocked the bootlaoder ? And rooted your phone ?
if not you are restricted to ruu (stock carrier roms/ unbranded stock roms ) method of installation
for roms it depends on what you like ?
sense 3.5 ,2.1 etc
miui
stock 2.3, 4.0
Well it ain't that simple good sir.
First you'll need to do some reading on what you have to do before actually flashing a ROM.
You need to S-off your device, root it etc.
Best place to learn about this is probably here http://androidforums.com/desire-all-things-root/503471-desire-all-things-root-guide.html.

[Q] Some questions before flashing Custom ROMs !!

Hi all, ..
I'm going to flash my first custom ROM on my One X but I want to ask some questions first ..
Before asking I'd like to tell you that ..
• My phone's CID is 1.29.708.15 (from Hong Kong)
• I know that we could flash any custom ROM even it wasn't based on the same CID
• I know that we couldn't downgrade the FW except when the phone is S-OFFed
1- Now if I flashed a ROM based on the latest Europe version (2.17.401.2) that means that my CID has changed and I could flash the latest stock RUU of Europe ??
2- If the answer of question 1 is NO then could I return back to my stock ROM even it's older than the custom ROM based on version ?? or my phone will brick ??
I want your help as soon as possible
And thanks to every one who had helped me before and thanks to that great forum

1.29.708.15 is not your CID. It's your software version.
If you flash a custom ROM based on 2.17.401.2, your CID will not change.
To return to stock, you can flash any 708 RUU that is the same or newer than 1.29.708.15, or restore the backup you make before installing the custom ROM.

[Q] CID 621 JellyBean update

Hello,
as the subject, I have a rooted HOX with Android Revolution HD 9.7.2 installed, HBOOT is 0.95.
I would like to upgrade to JB with Android Revolution HD 12 - I saw the update here: Jelly Bean firmware collection for different Carriers ID (CID) - but all the tools are for different CID.
Is there a specific reason? Do I need to upgrade HBOOT before flashing the JB firmware?
Thank you!
for update jb u need flash new frimware
see this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1920060
I think you are referring to method 2 - that seems in beta...method 1 would be for sure the best one.
the firmware in the link above is not ok for CID 621 (i mean firmware x.xx.709.x)?
