Is there a thread for CWM for the Sprint Note 2? I only see one for TWRP.
Thanks,
JD
Not sure if this will help but in the toolkit package there is an option for CWM

I did see that in the toolkit. I'd tried to verify if it was a valid option by finding the install of CWM as a standalone in the forums and could not. This is what started my curiosity.

Lol u just need four more posts.. And only the stock kernel the fe22 calkuins one automatically reboots into recovery but if you head over to Agat's thread his kernel now supports booting into recovery to flash the mod... And part two of the rom is in the rom updater.. Click into it scroll down until you see "put things back to stock"... And you should see part two near the top

Thanks again!i might just wipe and reflash the whole thing again cuz I didnt do that fx2 wipe thing.I get a red blinking boarder around the screen at times when touching the screen, dont think it should do that.but I do love this ROM,made easy for people like me!

Part two is only for theming google talk. If you don't use it, don't worry about it.
Its not really required. Add far as the red border, I would wipe and flash again. Or just wait for the next update.

Any time and yeah always make sure to flash the ruj or calkuins format x2 zip when flashing a new build or upgrading to a new build.. Saves a lot of headache!

Thanks! Think I will wait for the next update,,, maybe, lol! I'll use that wrote though this time,x2 that is.I can't stop playing with my phone, so my battery is taking a beatin for now.so glad I rooted!!!

If you are already on Kuban when a update comes out you don't have to wipe if you are using the ROM updater. Just chose the upgrade when it comes available
Can anyone help me out? I'm trying to get root for fh13 ICS. I just simply want root acess and keep stock.

There are how to videos here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1959113
I wouldn't use rom manager(not even sure u can.. I never used it.. Just being honest) .. You can follow the link I posted for the videos.. Yes you can still root it.. Installing roms and kernels are easy so it wouldn't be hassle.. Just boot into recovery wipe cache.. Dalvik cache and data and flash your rom.. As for kernels I just wipe cache /dalvik cache and flash
Hope that helps some

latest official firmware is still rootable via exynos abuse. the exploit got plugged in the ma5 leak but the op obviously is not on it. and rom manager works just fine but you need root to use it
Earlier i rooted the phone with Galaxy_Note2_Toolkit_v3.0.0, everything seemed to go fine, i downloaded a custom rom Android_Revolution_HD-Note2_13.0.zip but kept getting "e:signature verification failed". I thought that kit gave me a custom recovery but it doesnt look like it has.
I got rom manager from the play store, it told me i had clockwork mod and the twrp recovery, i flashed the clockwork mod recovery just in case, rebooted, same thing, booted, told rom manager to flash that custom rom, it rebooted back into what looks like the stock recovery, and the phone only boots into the recovery now
Any help very appreciated.
That should be pretty easy to fix if you can still get to odin mode (downvol, front button, power button while booting).
Go here, follow the instructions. -> Stock reset:
Code:

No linky because I'm not allowed to post links.
Try flashing custom recovery through comp. Then install Rom from c.r. and then ye phone will work.
Liked the reply hit thanks

Just means you managed to either turn on signature verification, or it's a bad download. Most likely it is the latter so just redownload the ROM since you made a backup first, right?

Thank you for the replies.
Used the toolkit to flash clockwork mod recover, now when it goes into recovery alot of horizontal lines move around and it shows the galaxy note 2 logo 1/2 on 1 side of the screen 1/2 on the other. But it will still boot android os.
Any idea what i could be doing wrong?

First bit of advice .... don't use cwm it sucks for this phone ....twrp will actually work

twrp works great, custom rom installed.
ty everyone!
Okay, I just had to go through 6 hours of fighting to get my phone un rooted and fought harder to get teamwin off. I finally have the stock rom installed and is fully updated. That's my problem when going to reroot it. Using the tool kit there is no option for running 4.1.2 and that's what I now have. Well 4.1.2 MA7.. Can I still use the one for 4.1.1? Are there any forthcoming updates SOON?
Any help greatly appreciated. Btw.. This is Sprint variant.
Thanks guys!

Twrp didn't cause your problems. Your lack of reading caused your problems. Maybe you shouldn't mess with your phone since you can't take a few minutes to read about what you're doing before you do it.

The toolkit isn't updated to work on MA7 yet. Just use this. It is really simple. Literally takes 30 secs and works for MA7. After you are rooted you can install whatever recovery you want.

The easiest way to root is to odin a recovery and then flash the su zip and su bin. Which I'm assuming is what the toolkit does it just automates it for noobs(I haven't used it since I went the odin recovery and flash su route). You just have to make sure to uncheck auto reboot in odin then when you're done pull the battery and boot straight into recovery so the system doesn't re flash stock recovery on boot.

I've never been dumb as a rock. Lmao. I also know better than to go doing things when I don't know what the hell I'm doing, and if I do I don't go and complain about it when I break something.

Hey it's pretty simple. Go here, like we said before, download required files and root your phone in less than 30 secs. Then either go here for TWRP or install ROM Manager for CWM. Install the one of your choice and then go download the ROM of your choice. It doesn't take a rocket scientist or super genius. Doesn't even take a whole lot of reading.
Btw, there is a thread in here that is a one click to UN root and reset flash counter, takes all of 3 minutes to run and get phone back up.
Option 42 does work, 42, 2, 3, 1 for cwm or 2 for twrp. Easy.

Just a heads up with the newest samsung driver and windows 8 I was able to root my friends MA7 Note2 with the toolkit even though it didn't show it.
