Earlier i rooted the phone with Galaxy_Note2_Toolkit_v3.0.0, everything seemed to go fine, i downloaded a custom rom Android_Revolution_HD-Note2_13.0.zip but kept getting "e:signature verification failed". I thought that kit gave me a custom recovery but it doesnt look like it has.
I got rom manager from the play store, it told me i had clockwork mod and the twrp recovery, i flashed the clockwork mod recovery just in case, rebooted, same thing, booted, told rom manager to flash that custom rom, it rebooted back into what looks like the stock recovery, and the phone only boots into the recovery now
Any help very appreciated.
That should be pretty easy to fix if you can still get to odin mode (downvol, front button, power button while booting).
Go here, follow the instructions. -> Stock reset:

No linky because I'm not allowed to post links.
Try flashing custom recovery through comp. Then install Rom from c.r. and then ye phone will work.
Liked the reply hit thanks

Just means you managed to either turn on signature verification, or it's a bad download. Most likely it is the latter so just redownload the ROM since you made a backup first, right?

Thank you for the replies.
Used the toolkit to flash clockwork mod recover, now when it goes into recovery alot of horizontal lines move around and it shows the galaxy note 2 logo 1/2 on 1 side of the screen 1/2 on the other. But it will still boot android os.
Any idea what i could be doing wrong?

OK Rogue is a derivative of Clockwork and with that said before you rooted you should of done some more research. What you should do is look for calkulins format all zip and flash it then flash the rom again. Also download another version of the rom just incase you have a corrupted zip.
Lastly try not to do anything else until you do some more research.... Quite a few stickys that can help you....

So after rooting my recent Tmobile GS3 and then attempting to flash the overclock my phone simply wont turn on. The root did fine, and I was able to install setcpu and everything but the second I installed the overclock my phone shut down. Now whenever I attempt to turn my phone it just flashes the Samsung insignia and then it shuts down. I can get to the Downloading screen (by pressing Volume down + power + home) but can I do anything about that? If someone can help me out that would be amazing. Thanks.
Also, I tried flashing a stock rom with Odin and it keeps failing. If anyone knows anything thank you.
Can you get into recovery? Volume up + home + power
If so then flash back to a nandroid backup or to a new rom or whatever.
If recovery wont boot, try again but look for blue text at the top right corner that says "booting recovery" when the sammy logo comes up. I've had it where my recovery wouldnt boot but I saw that for a split second when I tried. If this is the case, get back into download mode and flash the insecure boot + cwm again with Odin. Then you should be able to get into recovery.
If Odin fails to flash, reboot you're computer and try a different USB cable.

If you can get to download mode, then you're probably in good shape.
There are a few tricks that can be found in this thread:

Just make sure when you odin/flash something, you are flashing the correct image for your phone/carrier.
same boat here
well I thought I'd give it a try using instructions here. and now I'm hosed. I was able to root and install the ALLINONE (Insecure Boot, CWM & Busybox) rebooted, super user showed up in apps etc. I thought everything was fine. the next thing I tried was disable boot up animation and now the phone won't boot up at all.
I can get into the recovery and download screens but whenever I try to restore I get "can't mount /sdcard/"
The toolkit no longer sees my phone either. When it's plugged in and the toolkit is active, it just cycles over and over "samsung" then "Samsung Galaxy SIII" logo then black screen repeat.
The toolkit keeps giving message either "device not found" or "Waiting for USB debugging to be enabled".
download mode/ Odin mode is working- I have downloaded the file:

but haven't been able to get Odin to load it ... I have to be in download mode for that to work right?

I tried that a few times to no avail and gave up. figured out that I needed to unzip the stock rom from t-mobile in order for Odin to recognize and load it. That's where I left it last night. So I'm now back to stock and reloading all my apps and settings.
I'm ok with that, this is my first go at flashing/rooting. My phone works ... and for that I'm breathing a little easier. thanks for your reply!

Then downloaded ROM manager from play store and flashed cwm. Phones been working beautifully ever since.

No, none of them fully completed, thats why i had to battery pull. For the first several flashes i let it sit for 10min+ hoping it would work itself out, to no avail. The battery pulls were out of frustration. I just did trial and error until it eventually worked. Sometimes you have to figure things out for yourself.

Give this a try:
1) Go to Samsung Kies & download " Kies " on your PC.
2) Run Kies & click on the Tools tab.
3) Select " Firmware upgrade settings " & follow the on screen steps. Depending on your download speed this my take 1hr.
4) Your phone is back to stock ICS 4.0.4. Put this file on the root of your SD card " root.zip " You can also find this zip in the installed folder for Toolkit Beta.
5) Download & install " [APP] Samsung Galaxy S II Toolkit Beta V2.4 *ICS ROOT READY!!!* "
6) Follow the on screen steps to flash CWMT. This will use odin to flash CWM Touch back on your phone.
7) After odin opens click pda & select the recovery file " recovery.tar.md5 " it should be the only file listed.
8) After CWMT is on your phone and phone has rebooted unplug the usb wire from the phone & turn it off.
9) Pull battery wait for 10 sec then replace battery now push in and hold both volume up & volume down buttons at the same time then hold the power button until the phone vibrates. *Do not let go of the volume buttons until you see CWMT*. It will flash the screen one time then you are now ready to flash the root.zip file you put on your SD card.
10) Find the root.zip file you put on your SD card, now flash it *note it may not flash right away just keep trying until it flashes. Then reboot.
11) You should now be stock & rooted & ready to flash your hart out.
Let me know if this helps, I have done this 4x now & it works with no problems.

I've searched relentlessly for a solution to this, but I haven't come up with anything, so it's time to ask for help.
I just used mskip's Galaxy S3 QCOM Toolkit v2.3 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1746682) to flash CWM and root my GSIII. The recovery flashed successfully, using "recovery-cwm-lte-sgs3-v5.tar" included with the toolkit.
CWM recovery works. However, when I tried to boot the phone, I got the first Samsung splash screen, then the screen turned black, a second later the boot tune played (with no splash screen showing), and then... nothing. The blue notification light blinks infinitely, and the phone is unresponsive except for holding the power button down for 10 seconds, which restarts it, and the same thing happens again.
I can boot into CWM recovery, as well as download mode. I tried wiping the cache and doing a factory reset, which changed nothing. However, when I tried to flash a stock ROM (again using the toolkit), I got an "unsupport dev_type" error. I presume that USB debugging has been defaulted to disabled now from this, but maybe I'm wrong. In any case, I'm not sure where to go from here. I don't want to claim that I've bricked it yet, when I have both recovery and download, but I don't know what to do now.
Help?
EDIT: I'm sorry, I forgot basic information : I'm using a SGH-T999 (T-Mobile GSIII).

Hello all
I unfortunately had to get a replacement for my S3 because the charging port got screwed up.
I tried to root the phone by installing CWM and it seemed to go fine. I did this with Odin using qbking77's methods and files.
I went to look for my zip file to flash and I could find no zip files at all.
It kept saying that E won't mount and stuff like that.
I had a stock recovery tar file for my GalaxyS3 from qbking77 that I used before to get to stock recovery for updates
I flashed it with odin and it said it flashed fine.
Phone seems to be working fine.
I went back to make sure it was there and it showed the little android guy with his heart spinning and then turning red and he died!
Several error messages came up in red.
Anyone ever hear about this and what did I do wrong?
I am sure I used the files I have used for my Galaxy before.
The phone still works so far thankfully!
Any advise and help would be appreciated.

Yes you can still use these Recoveries. I doubt you " fried " your device. Use these Recoveries in the Root process where you would use the older ones. Yes you can Revert them Back.
Then how can I revert back to get over the air updates? The stock recovery that I flashed showed the little Android guy had died..
