Search triangle away. Fallow its instructions. I used it and it worked great.

Also there is no CMW for ICS until developers get source. Always odin/mobile odin el26 with cwm to flash on ICS and fladh back to ICS/AOSP kernel depending on ROM.

OK, I will do and as far as the CWM I will have to wait like everyone else. I just hoped I overlooked the recovery info but I guess I've been researching as hard as I can so thanks for your help! Waiting....waiting....wai......

CWM

Is there a thread for CWM for the Sprint Note 2? I only see one for TWRP.
Thanks,
JD
Not sure if this will help but in the toolkit package there is an option for CWM

I did see that in the toolkit. I'd tried to verify if it was a valid option by finding the install of CWM as a standalone in the forums and could not. This is what started my curiosity.

There are how to videos here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1959113
I wouldn't use rom manager(not even sure u can.. I never used it.. Just being honest) .. You can follow the link I posted for the videos.. Yes you can still root it.. Installing roms and kernels are easy so it wouldn't be hassle.. Just boot into recovery wipe cache.. Dalvik cache and data and flash your rom.. As for kernels I just wipe cache /dalvik cache and flash
Hope that helps some

latest official firmware is still rootable via exynos abuse. the exploit got plugged in the ma5 leak but the op obviously is not on it. and rom manager works just fine but you need root to use it

Rooting using sprint samsung galaxy note 2 toolkit but correct version not listed..

Okay, I just had to go through 6 hours of fighting to get my phone un rooted and fought harder to get teamwin off. I finally have the stock rom installed and is fully updated. That's my problem when going to reroot it. Using the tool kit there is no option for running 4.1.2 and that's what I now have. Well 4.1.2 MA7.. Can I still use the one for 4.1.1? Are there any forthcoming updates SOON?
Any help greatly appreciated. Btw.. This is Sprint variant.
Thanks guys!

Twrp didn't cause your problems. Your lack of reading caused your problems. Maybe you shouldn't mess with your phone since you can't take a few minutes to read about what you're doing before you do it.

The toolkit isn't updated to work on MA7 yet. Just use this. It is really simple. Literally takes 30 secs and works for MA7. After you are rooted you can install whatever recovery you want.

The easiest way to root is to odin a recovery and then flash the su zip and su bin. Which I'm assuming is what the toolkit does it just automates it for noobs(I haven't used it since I went the odin recovery and flash su route). You just have to make sure to uncheck auto reboot in odin then when you're done pull the battery and boot straight into recovery so the system doesn't re flash stock recovery on boot.

I believe it gives you the option of either TWRP or CW.

I've never been dumb as a rock. Lmao. I also know better than to go doing things when I don't know what the hell I'm doing, and if I do I don't go and complain about it when I break something.

Hey it's pretty simple. Go here, like we said before, download required files and root your phone in less than 30 secs. Then either go here for TWRP or install ROM Manager for CWM. Install the one of your choice and then go download the ROM of your choice. It doesn't take a rocket scientist or super genius. Doesn't even take a whole lot of reading.
Btw, there is a thread in here that is a one click to UN root and reset flash counter, takes all of 3 minutes to run and get phone back up.
Option 42 does work, 42, 2, 3, 1 for cwm or 2 for twrp. Easy.

Just a heads up with the newest samsung driver and windows 8 I was able to root my friends MA7 Note2 with the toolkit even though it didn't show it.
