So weird problem started a couple days ago. When I'm navigating using Google Maps, it only shows the bird's eye view instead of the 3D view that I'm always used to?
I've looked all over in the settings and can't figure it out.
Anyone suggestions?

Right, NORMALLY that would do it, but it doesn't in my case. So frustrating. WTF?
I tried seeing if I could get the problem and couldn't. Instead all my maps turned grey
Reset the data and cache of that app and see if that fixes it.

That is what worked for my wifes phone at first. I had to delete cache and data, then uninstall and install the app again. Seems to have fixed it for a while now. The screen was also flickering a lot while in navigation.

This didn't work for me. I had to delete the cache from app settings to get it to work again.

well.... have you tried using two finger, swipe downwards...
I had this problem recently.
You must get a fix on GPS signal to have the mode revert from bird's eye view.
But if you still experiencing the issue, clear the cache, uninstall Google Maps and reinstall. Lock on a GPS signal and it will go back.
Make sure you have clicked on the blue arrow as well so that's not causing it either.

I don't have it, but I know how to fix it:
Just go to settings -> Developer options, and turn off "Strict Mode".
That should fix it

The GUI is messed up. Put the tick back on...go out of the menu and back to the home screen. Then go back into the menu, and put tick off, and come out of the menus back to the homescreen. There is a problem with the settings not actually properly setting.

did that its still the same , noticed it happens more often in things like messages and emails rather than apps, but also happens in XDA app
edit after a restart it seems to have gone

Yeah I was to suggest that next. It is the damned menu options not setting properly. I had something similar.

Should it come back, you might wanna try a factory reset, that would definitely fix stuff like this. Anyway, glad it's fixed

its not your phone. alot of people are having that issue, I had that issue, but it seemed to be fixed now.
I am rooted and uninstalled talkback and after every reboot, I see the talkback hand icon with the "talkback is enabled" in the notification bar. The temporary fix is to go into Accessability and turn off one or everything (varies time to time) that uses it and turn it back on, after this, talkback no longer shows in notification bar. At this point, it is gone until a reboot, in which it shows again.
I have even tried reinstalling talkback, disabling and freezing it then uninstalling, no change.
How can I get rid of this?
Rooted
Stock ROM
Nobody?? This is driving me bonkers and I refuse to believe nobody else has this issue or can help me out
Try uninstalling, then delete dalvik cache and cache in recovery
Do you have Tasker or any other app which interacts with notifications.

tried disabling both others 1 by 1, no change
Using a File Explorer. Go in and make sure to delete the Folder that the app created. There may be something in there, that is causing the issue. Also if you are no longer going to use the App, there is no need for it to have a folder.

I ran a search with Root Explorer and found 4 results for "talkback"... all of which are on my external card as backups to versions of the app. Just got good measure I deleted and rebooted, issue remains.

musta missed this post, sorry. Tried this, issue remains.
I think your not removing the app correctly. It's remaining either in the apps folder or the system folder. There is something which is reinitializing the app and creating all the folders you already fou d.

I am uninstalling the app via ROM Toolbox. I freeze then uninstall it through that app. How might you suggest?
On the phone itself settings>apps, >all apps or go into your root explorer go to system apps and delete it right in there and reboot. Go back in and make sure it's gone. Right now your using a 3rd arty app to remove another app instead of going g to the root source.

Go into Menu - Settings - Application manager - All. Scroll down till you see the App. Tap on it. Tap Force stop. Tap Clear Data. Tap Uninstall. Then just as a precaution Reboot. It should then be gone.

It is not there as I have uninstalled it and can find no trace anywhere with any app or system app.
Reinstalled it so I could follow these steps. Followed EXACTLY as you suggestion. Force Stop, Cleared Data, Uninstall. At this point, it is again removed from the app list (as it was minutes ago). Rebooted and icon STILL shows after reboot. Confirmed Talkback app is not in App Manager. Used Root Explorer to ensure "talkback" is NOWHERE in my phone and verified it is removed from Accessibility screen.
I know how to uninstall an app, but it seems this sucker is embeded into the stock ROM somehow. Other ideas? Nobody else having this issue on Sprint S3?
After opening Accessibility and sitting on that page, the icon goes away after ~1-3minutes and/or clicking on any app that uses Accesibility, but will show again after next reboot.
UPDATE: I went and uninstalled EVERY app that used Accessibility (after MUCH hesitation and backing up the settings several times). Icon still remained. Rebooted and GONE!!!!! OMFG! A complete uninstall did it. Now to reinstall those I NEED and pray!
Hope it stays sorted. Try not to restore any data, or very little.

At this point I'd recommend a Full Wipe, and Flash.
It will always show up after reboot if u have anything turned on in accessibility-services settings. Go to accessibility scroll down to services and see what u have on and turn it off and the icon will go away turn it back on to use whatever u had turnded on

why will it always show up after reboot?
I've noticed that for some reason when I get a text (SMS or MMS) the notification stays in the drop down notification panel even after I check the text. The only way to get rid of the notification is to "swipe" it away. I would think that as soon as you went into the text window the notification would disappear? Not sure what changed or event when it started happening, but it's VERY annoying.
I'm on wicked v.8
That's strange. On Wicked V8, and it's working like it's supposed to.
yes, very strange. Do you think by going into app settings - clearing data and cache would help?

Nope, didn't work. I feel like it has to do with some setting in notification. It's really weird because I'm using the stock e-mail app, and there's no problem there.
Any other ideas?
I had this problem before what I did was go into application manager the scroll down to BadgeProvider and clear the cache and data then force stop it then restart your phone it should work as it did for me. Hope it works for you.

Hi all,
After updating my unrooted OP3 to official Nougat, I am noticing that Google app can no longer run in the background. That is, any Google Now or Google search that I do in the phone dissappears from the multi-tasking windows as soon as I navigate away!
I tried clearing Google app's cache, data, opted out of the beta program. Doing so does get the app to run in the background as it should but only for a few minutes before the issue persists.
I reported the issue as a bug to OnePlus days ago but no response yet!
Can anyone help with this please?
try removing google from aggressive dose. go to battery, click the three dots on top right side and you can disable aggressive dose from there.

Thanks.
Aggressive dose isn't enabled.
Actually, I have even tried freezing the app from the multi-tasking windows (clicking the lock toggle at the tip right corner of Google app window) and even that doesn't work.

The lock toggle is useless. Half of the time apps are cleared even after that lock. But still your situation seems quite odd. Are you using updated version and if your rooted you can try uninstalling the app and reinstalling it.
