Settings - Apps - scroll over to All - Scroll down to Maps - Force stop - Clear data and cache
That should do it

its not your phone. alot of people are having that issue, I had that issue, but it seemed to be fixed now.

"birds eye" view only in Google Maps/Navigation?

So weird problem started a couple days ago. When I'm navigating using Google Maps, it only shows the bird's eye view instead of the 3D view that I'm always used to?
I've looked all over in the settings and can't figure it out.
Anyone suggestions?

Right, NORMALLY that would do it, but it doesn't in my case. So frustrating. WTF?
I tried seeing if I could get the problem and couldn't. Instead all my maps turned grey
Reset the data and cache of that app and see if that fixes it.

That is what worked for my wifes phone at first. I had to delete cache and data, then uninstall and install the app again. Seems to have fixed it for a while now. The screen was also flickering a lot while in navigation.

This didn't work for me. I had to delete the cache from app settings to get it to work again.

well.... have you tried using two finger, swipe downwards...
I had this problem recently.
You must get a fix on GPS signal to have the mode revert from bird's eye view.
But if you still experiencing the issue, clear the cache, uninstall Google Maps and reinstall. Lock on a GPS signal and it will go back.
Make sure you have clicked on the blue arrow as well so that's not causing it either.

I have noticed this for the last two weeks. My GPS has been acting goofy, and if I try to navigate it will just always say "searching for GPS". I made sure that my actual gps is turned on, I did so from the drop down notification, but I noticed that when opening my maps and stuff, I don't get the gps icon in my notification bar. Any one else experiencing this? I'm wondering if my phone is jacked, or if there's s quick fix. Phone if totally stock, no Rom, it's not flashed or anything. I did update to 4.1

Reset your phone from settings> backup and restore. If that doesn't work then Odin back to stock and repeat.

I think this might be a little excessive.
Hard reset fixed this issue on my S3. Just pull the battery without shutting the phone down then turn the phone back on. I haven't had the issue come back since doing the first and only hard reset on my phone.

Untick and tick back GPS and WiFi localisation in localisation settings.
Search faster GPS in the play store. My phone locks instantly now.

I have been having this same GPS issue since I upgraded to jelly bean....
I have Odin back to stock , changed my kernels, changed base bands, installed various custom ROMs and tried GPS fix apps from the playstore ...The issue still persists......The only time it worked for 2 days straight without issues was when I installed the Paranoid android AOSP ROM.....
It had various bugs I wasn't willing to live with so I am back to wicked v2.1 and still trying to find a permanent solution regarding ng the s3's GPS issue..
The GPS temporarily works when the phone is restarted but after about 10 mins the GPS icon doesn't come on again until the phone is restarted...
I am currently using my Tmobile s3 to send this message and my GPS is not functional at the moment...I always have to restart the phone when I want to use navigation..

I did a battery pull yesterday, GPS has been working along with navigation. I'm just waiting to see how long it will work now. It sounds like it's a known issue than? Let's how there's a fix!

[Q] Auto Brightness Keeps Turning Itself Off?

I know there's another auto brightness thread but I think my problem is different. I'll turn it on, leave the phone in standby for a while, and when I use the phone again I find the auto brightness doesn't have the check mark there anymore? Has anyone else noticed this?
I was wondering why my battery was draining so fast when I was using it. That's when I realized my setting was at full brightness but the Auto had become unchecked so it was running at 100 constantly without auto adjusting. I've used the 100/Auto checked on all my other Samsung devices dating back to the Note 2 and S3.
I'm thinking it's a software glitch which will hopefully be fixed in a future update. If it is, I'll live with it for now...
I actually had the same issue and I found that the issue was related to game recorder app I just uninstalled and now is fine
Interesting... I don't have any kind of recorder apps so I'm kind of at a loss as to what other app could cause that...

I'm suffering from this exact same issue. Very annoying because the auto brightness works well when it actually stays on.

For what it's worth, I started having other issues yesterday morning. When I first got the phone, and did the OTA, I did a factory reset as was widely recommended to do. Apparently it din't clear up everything.
What I ended up doing was, yesterday, I did another reset using the Samsung Smart Switch software. I backed up what I could, let it reset, and restored afterward. So far it's been 24 hrs and no issues.
I have the same problem with the auto brigthness with my galaxy S6 edge . but when i uninstall the car app from samsung its gone
maybe it works for you too

I also uninstalled the car app and restarted the phone.
it was still happening, but now it ain't anymore.

Interesting.. car mode is the culprit? That's not the only bug in that app then. There's an option to auto close the app when the bluetooth connection is disconnected from the car.. it doesn't work for me.
But I'll just be sitting there doing something and if I'm in a dark room... WHAM I get blinded LOL...
I got a replacement today so I guess the saga continues...

I installed Samsung Switch for pc and did a backup for my edge.
I then did a factory reset.
Restored the backup from Switch.
I also un-installed a Go battery saver application.
Since then no more auto-brightness switching itself off.

It has been more than 24 hours no probs, but I also have to say since doing this I have not touched the auto checkbox or slided the bar left or right at all.

I'm pretty sure I didn't... I don't remember doing anything of the sort LOL...

Apps Closing Unexpectedly

I don't know if anyone else is facing this issue but after update, apps close expectedly and it is very very irritating since important data is also lost in some instances. I have reset and cleared cache but nothing has improved.

Give it around a day. It will get solved. For me it did.
Edit - Don't use any themes downloaded from Playstore or anywhere else. Just use the themes that came with the phone and see if there are any crashes or restarts?

Fist it was play store when press "read" in any app it started closing I reinstall it clear cache clear data every thing and now it is happening to Gmail email inbox all email apps when ever I click to open a mail the app closes plz help not know what to do

Make sure you have not applied any theme.
Also turn off the option to automatically close power intensive apps in the battery settings.

Your only option for now is a factory reset.
This os has got some big issues
And yes auto to closing of apps is close and no theme is applied everything is stock but now also I cannot read mail or in Google play store not read discription of any apps it just closes it is so frustrating

I have this exact issue. It started after the update to B183 firmware. I've checked all the battery saving settings, did a soft and hard reset, but the issue still lingers. I've called Honor support line and they asked me to hard reset the phone, but I told them that I've already did that. They asked me to take the phone to a repair center but I live in a island and the center is on the mainland.
Ive had an Honor 8 before and had no issues whatsoever with any updates. Honor dropped the ball on this one.
If you can rollback, that will be the best decision

Don't use any custom theme or font.
Also set your screen size to normal.
I too had this problem and did a factory reset. The issue persisted even after the hard reset but was gone in a day.
I guess give it time to settle down.

Question Solved - Nokia G21 screen switches on automatically

I keep my phone in mobile stand while drinking. However, while driving the when automatically switches on. I have tried disabling multiple options like double tap to wake, wake phone on pick up, disabling notifications etc, but no luck.
Anyone else have this issue.

did reset as well , did not fix the issue, just took my 4 to 5 hours

pls could you put the steps, as i did reset, still issue persists and day by day the issue is growing and kind of screen keeps waking up
Reset the device. When you setup, don't add your email and continue. Once you reach the launcher, add your email address, install applications and configure settings.
