Hi.. My Greets to Everyone on this Forum.
I just bought a new HOX but as i proceeded to install HTC Sync Manager. It stops in between and says that a "Microsoft VC Redist 2005 973544 (x86)" is not in my PC, so i googled it and tried downloading it from there but the microsoft link doesnt work for me, plus no other links there.
Does anyone know what to do after this..
Thanks.
Worked for me.

I have searched the forums and cannot find a soultion to my problem
I have an O2 XDA II with works well. This was on ActiveSync 3.7. It now also works well on ActiveSync 4.0
However my new mini XDA (Wizard) is not detected by active sync 4.0. It comes up with generic rndis driver not found.
The software from O2 hangs in the install process and although 4.0 is installed i think that i'm missing a driver somewhere???
I think someone suggested deleting all possible drivers in the driver manager and re-install ActiveSync from the cd to see if ti picks up the driver. but I'm unwilling to do this without knowing which driver it could be?
note: firewall is off
does anyone know how to fix this? is there a patch or how do i get the driver to be picked up off of the CD.
HELP PLEASE?

Hi all,
I have a motoQ w/ WM5 and I use hotmail. Pocket msn really sucks.
I installed windows live through an .exe file and it worked perfect for one week.
Suddently, the program started to fail to syncronize with my hotmail account.
I decided to do a master reset in my phone and install the program again to try to solve the problem.
The problem is that now, when I try to install the Windows Live, I get a message that the installation of the *.cab was unsuccesful.
Can anyone help me?
Thank you.
Hello, Im having issues syncing wm6. I have an Ipaq which syncs on all three of my windows vista pcs no problem. My WM6 p4000 telus will not sync with any of my pcs. There is no error "code", only "sync error" Ive tried reinstalling wm6, the bootloader cant sync with device either. I can see the p4000 on My Computer. Im unable to copy or delete the files on my p4000. I spoken to tech support at HTC with no success. My P4000 is working perfectly. I really wanted to try the GPS thread. I think that I have to edit the reg... Can someone help me.
Hi.. I need help with HTC Sync Manager Installation.
I just bought HTC sync manager few days back and was installing HTC Sync Manager but having error in installation.
It says:
"The files for installation requirement CheckAndRemoveOldHtcDriver could not be found. the installation will now stop. This is probably due to a failed, or canceled download."
I tried downloading setup file again, but no use.
What am I missing?
I m using WinXP service pack 2 32-bit.
Need Sync Manager for many purposes..
TIA.

Anyone had any luck? I have been trying for avery long time but no success. Tried uninstalling the MS C related files. If i remove, it tells me MS VC Redist 2005 missing. When it is installed, it still gives the same error,

This issue seems to come up again and again. I ran into this myself and discovered that in my case Threatfire was causing the problem. I had to uninstall Threatfire in order to succesfully install HTC Sync Manager. Stopping Threatfire was not enough!
Similiar issues seem to occur when using personal firewalls, in some cases deactivating the software is not enough.

Hey guys, make sure you don't have antivirus turned on on your computers. When I first tried installing HTC sync it failed continually until I disabled my antivirus. If that doesn't work, you'll have to search for it in the one x forums, but there is a download of just the drivers floating around, don't remember where I saw them, sorry. You actually don't need HTC sync itself for your phone to connect to your computer, just the drivers. Hope this helps.
