Not sure anyone can answer this but I will ask anyway. I have 2 S3's Galaxy note 10.1, Galaxy Tab 10.1 and a old Epic 4g plus a (yuk) Iphone 4s for work. When in Best Buy none of the Samsung devices can find their signal, it won't even show up to connect to. It does show up and connect on the Iphone. I have read about the S3's wifi being weak but it seems strange that no samsung device will even find the signal at a best buy store. Anyone else have this problem? Maybe it is something Best Buy has done to there Wifi but this is just weird. No problems anywhere else just Best Buy that I know of.

hey guys, i was thinking about getting a galaxy nexus from the play store soon. but ive owned one before it was the international one (according to the guy i bought it from on craigslist) before they sold them in the play store. i had nothing but issues with my wifi dropping for no reason no matter what i did. my wifi basically never worked because it would drop as soon as i download something. here is a video for proof i put up on youtube. also u can see my data issues i had if the wifi didnt drop. my speeds are horrible. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mliIsHU9oU&feature=plcp
also when my wifi did work every now and then. my data speeds were around 5mbs when i have 30mbs at my house. its the only phone ive ever had issues with wifi.
basically i wanted to know if anyone else has this issue or did i just get a bad unit? it was the big reason i had to get rid of my galaxy nexus when i had it months ago.
Just curious if the Samsung Galaxy Note MHL/HDMI Adaptor would work on the Sprint Note II because I did not want to run out and splurge on it and learn it the hard way if it does not work.
Also was curious about FM radio as being listed on the specs in google searches, but have been unable to find it. Reason I asked about it specifically was because of pathetic "roaming" 3G coverage that kept dropping more times than actually connecting during a power outage in the aftermath of tropical storm Sandy.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers.
You can buy the official.samsung 11 pin adapter and it.will.work
I think I've already know the answer to this question, after extensive searching and reading around, but here goes anyway.
Is there any sign of the Galaxy Note 2 getting Orange Signal Boost (UMA), or it being able to be ported to it?
I guess not, as the Signal Boost app seems only to work up to ICS not JB and the Note 2 is shipped with JB. I guess if Signal Boost is ever put on the S3 there might be a chance for it to be extracted from that rom for the Note 2. But Orange don't say what will be done, so we really have no idea.
Am I correct?
Thanks
Orange.... Well EE now have a femtocell that they are selling. From what I gather if you have registered an issue with signal in your home or office you may be able to get one free, especially if your signal has degraded due to them decommissioning a cell (as part of their network optimisation). If not, they sell them for £100. There is a thread about them on the digital spy forum.
Sent from my Samsung Note II.
P's, the reason I mention the femtocell is that most people who use uma would get a similar benefit from a femtocell and have the same reasons for using either... To get a signal.
Thanks, I didn't know that.
It's definitely Signal Boost / UMA I'm interested in though. It's for when I go away (within UK) and then I don't have physical access to the router, just to the wifi.
have a sprint galaxy nexus, had the original replaced because the usb port crapped out, and the replacement had seriously weak wifi strenght so i have another one coming. was just wondering the difference in these model numbers, cant really find anything... have a look at the screen shot.
I have been trying to find an answer to this question but so far I haven't had any luck.
background:
The Samsung Galaxy 5 had dual radios in it to handle both 4G and 3G, but when they made the Galaxy S6 they only put one radio in it and had it switch back and fourth. (perhaps not the best explanation but that's basically what it does). I should also mention that I am using Verizon and am thinking of switching to TMO.
Anyways, because of that "new" feature, I started getting horrible reception because my S6 couldn't handle the switching. I tried new phones and playing with settings but nothing worked. Meanwhile my girlfriends Galaxy S5 worked with no problem at my house while I struggled to get a signal.
I ended up using an app that linked to my wifi and gave me a good signal but I'm still not satisfied.
So my question is, does the HTC 10 have dual radios or a single radio like the Galaxy S6? I imagine anything going to Verizon will have the single radio that works with their VoLTE but I am curious.
