Hi All,
I have severely screwed up my One X.
The status of my device is as follows:
Normal boot will go directly to bootloader, no operating system on it. The bootloader appears as follows:
(before this appears, some strange red text flashes saying 'This build is for development purposes only')
*** RELOCKED ***
*** Security Warning ***

eMMC-bootmode: disabled
CPU-bootmode: disabled

In fastboot, it will not allow me to flash to boot, system or recovery. Various errors appears like:
- not allowed
- error code 0000008 (or something)
- '...' then 'complete', but its a total lie because its done nothing.
My network is Three UK, this is a result of getting halfway through running:
"RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_H3G_UK_1.26.771.2_Radio_1.1204.90.13H_release_251403_signed.exe"
Then it telling me that my bootloader version is incorrect.
Future runs of this tell me that my battery is too low, even though I chareged it till green last night.
If it 'reboot bootloader' the same screen as above loads without the *** Security Warning ***
Nothing Ive found on these forums work, Im in serious need of HELP!!
You're on wrong section mate.
You will have better assistance in Q&A section.
Tips: you need 1.28.771.x RUU to revert to stock. 1.26.771.2 won't work as yours is HBOOT-0.94.0000
I tried
RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_HTC_Europe_1.28.401.9_Radio_1.1204.103.14_release_256469_signed
and it says there is a customer id error,
Do i need specifically 1.28.771?

Yes as that is the correct one for three UK, that's why you had the I'd error.

Even though my CLID is coming up at 'NONE'?
It'll say none but you'll have the 3UK CID - you will have to wait for the 1.28.771.9 RUU to surface (if at all) or send it back to 3

In fastboot "fastboot boot new-recoveryver.img"
Then "adb push rom.zip /sdcard/"
fastboot boot says its not allowed

Had you try reflash stock recovery. I had successfully Ruu 1.26.707.2 from cook 1.28.401.09 then OTA to 1.28.707.10 and pass through a lot of pain warnings.
With correct original ruu, it allows you to recover (try mainfixer.bat) to origin factory status.

DUDE [email protected] A F***ING LIFE SAVER!!!!!!!
I WAS USING THE WRONG COMMAND TO UNLOCK IT... FFS. IM SUCH AN IDIOT
ITS ALL WORKING NOW
Now to cancel the HTC Service.....
Hey guys, I'm not very adept at android stuff so please bear with me.
I unlocked my bootloader yesterday via the HTC Dev site with an attempt to convert my ROM to CM10 (the Jellybean one). However, I realized that the process was a little too complex for me, so I decided to relock the bootloader first until I decide whether I want to get CM10/figure the process out.
Hence, I relocked the bootloader using the cmd command fastboot oem lock.
So, what I see on the command prompt is something similar to this.
<Bootloader> Lock successfully
FAILED <status read failed <Too many links>>
finished. total time: 0.142s
On the bootloader window (is that what you guys call it? It's the window you get when booting the phone while pressing power+volume down),
the information (in pink and green text) reads:
*** Relocked ***

I apologize for being a little paranoid, but since I didn't "flash" any custom ROMs or anything, but merely unlocked and relocked the bootloader, is there anything which might brick my phone when the next OTA comes in?
Also, should I be worried about the command prompt text (the one with FAILED) although the previous line reads "lock successfully"? After the relock my phone rebooted as normal, and I experience no problems using the phone.
Can anyone help with all this? Thanks in advance guys.
It's fine, you're good to go
All is good. As you haven't modified the ROM or recovery then ota will work fine.
The status read failed is nothing to worry about.
Mine does tat every time when locking or unlocking but none the less the process still completes

Thanks a lot for the replies. It had me worried there for a while. Cheers!
So if you have "relocked" your boot loader and want to unlock it again do you hace to flash the "Unlock_code.bin" again, or is there a faster way?

Hey there!
I'm pretty new to the Android platform. I've been on iOS for many years.
I already flashed a custom firmware on a Moto G, which worked fine. (SlimKat)
I thought about doing the same thing with my HTC One X.
GSM version (Model: PJ83100)
Current device state:

*** UNLOCKED ***

Unlike the Moto G Bootloader, I'm unable to erase any partition but the cache. All of the others return the same annoying error message.
Example:
./fastboot erase system
erasing 'system'...
FAILED (remote: not allowed)
I am not able to boot into the OS or the recovery partition anymore, so they have probably been wiped. When I reboot the device, it's either a boot loop or it simply shuts down.
I already tried to flash CWM and TWRP. Each of those were successful, at least according to the terminal... Unfortunately, same thing happens when the phone reboots.
I also tried to flash SlimKat with the "./fastboot flash zip file_name.zip" command, even if it isn't supposed to work (I believe).
In despair, I flashed the boot image from the ROM but still without result.
I did all of those commands both in the FastBoot mode ands the RUU (./fastboot oem rebootRUU).
If anyone knows how to fix this, it would be really appreciated.
All the posts related to the issue did not help me in any ways.
Thank you!

I'm thinking of making a video, so it will be easier to understand. I you want it, don't hesitate!
That because your phone is EVITA.This is ENDEAVORU.Different codename!.
Means your phone is HTC ONE XL.This thread belongs to HTC ONE X.

Okay. First things first. You were trying to flash firmware, correct? And you re-locked your bootloader because you are S-On?
What firmware were you trying to flash? Was it x.xx.401.x? For M8_UL it should have been.
