Hey guys, I'm not very adept at android stuff so please bear with me.
I unlocked my bootloader yesterday via the HTC Dev site with an attempt to convert my ROM to CM10 (the Jellybean one). However, I realized that the process was a little too complex for me, so I decided to relock the bootloader first until I decide whether I want to get CM10/figure the process out.
Hence, I relocked the bootloader using the cmd command fastboot oem lock.
So, what I see on the command prompt is something similar to this.
<Bootloader> Lock successfully
FAILED <status read failed <Too many links>>
finished. total time: 0.142s
On the bootloader window (is that what you guys call it? It's the window you get when booting the phone while pressing power+volume down),
the information (in pink and green text) reads:
*** Relocked ***

I apologize for being a little paranoid, but since I didn't "flash" any custom ROMs or anything, but merely unlocked and relocked the bootloader, is there anything which might brick my phone when the next OTA comes in?
Also, should I be worried about the command prompt text (the one with FAILED) although the previous line reads "lock successfully"? After the relock my phone rebooted as normal, and I experience no problems using the phone.
Can anyone help with all this? Thanks in advance guys.
It's fine, you're good to go
All is good. As you haven't modified the ROM or recovery then ota will work fine.
The status read failed is nothing to worry about.
Mine does tat every time when locking or unlocking but none the less the process still completes

Thanks a lot for the replies. It had me worried there for a while. Cheers!
So if you have "relocked" your boot loader and want to unlock it again do you hace to flash the "Unlock_code.bin" again, or is there a faster way?

You're on wrong section mate.
You will have better assistance in Q&A section.
Tips: you need 1.28.771.x RUU to revert to stock. 1.26.771.2 won't work as yours is HBOOT-0.94.0000
I tried
RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_HTC_Europe_1.28.401.9_Radio_1.1204.103.14_release_256469_signed
and it says there is a customer id error,
Do i need specifically 1.28.771?

Yes as that is the correct one for three UK, that's why you had the I'd error.

It'll say none but you'll have the 3UK CID - you will have to wait for the 1.28.771.9 RUU to surface (if at all) or send it back to 3

Had you try reflash stock recovery. I had successfully Ruu 1.26.707.2 from cook 1.28.401.09 then OTA to 1.28.707.10 and pass through a lot of pain warnings.
With correct original ruu, it allows you to recover (try mainfixer.bat) to origin factory status.

you have unlocked before, than the unlock.bin file must be in your inbox... get that file... put that file in the tool (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1924003) folder, and then use the adb commands to unlock again , flash recovery and flash the ROM
OK,
So I have managed to reunlock the bootloader (I couldn't remember the exact process, eventually figured out that I needed the unlock code.)
I have used the HTC One X All-In-One kit by Hasoon2000 to flash the recovery.
It now boots into CWM but when I try an install from .zip it goes from installing update to installation aborted...

OK,
I have sorted mine out now.
Thank your for you help guys!

At least I thought I had.
I installed Android revolution 18.1 installation process went through fine. Now I can only boot into the bootloader or recovery... cannot boot into Android.
Gah.
Did you flash the boot.img with fastboot command, or the toolkit ?
And you have hboot 1.12 so you can only flash ICS roms and no JB roms.....only the JB roms without sense can run. Like CM10
I flashed with fastboot. At least I think I did.
I used CWM to mount the drive and copy the file across. I then used CWM to install from ZIP.
I have tried both Android_Revolution_HD_one_X_18.1 and now I have tried 9.8. Now with 9.8 I can't boot into recovery again. It just goes in a loop rebooting itself, I get the spash screen, black screen, splash screen... and so on.
Then or you didn't do a full wipe or you did not flash the correct boot.img. you always need to flash the boot.img that comes with the rom
Hold the power button and the volume - button together until the phone restarts into the bootloader and from there you can go to the recovery
Hi there,
So I decided to be a moron and go ahead and "UNROOT" my HTC One X. What ended up happening is I got my phone stuck in a bootloader loop.
now I can't even flash the bootloader, when I type "adb shell" I get: "error: device not found".
What the bootloader looks like:

Well, alright. So I've unlocked it again but I have absolutely no data on it, (When I go into "Install zip from sdcard" it says "No files found."
Anyone got an idea what to do?
Oh and I'm using CWM, Recovery v5.8.3.1
Flash a new recovery first. Yours doesn't support usb mass storage to copy a rom to the sdcard in the recovery

First problem
Was trying to get stock rom back and, I guess, flashed wrong hboot/boot/everything =\ Phone now boots (that gives me a hope) only into fastboot. When I'm trying to flash anything, even unlock token I get a "FAILED (remote: not allowed)" message in cmd.
Tried 2 RUUs from androidruu
RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_hTC_Asia_India_1.29.720.11_Radio_1.1204.105.14_release_261615_signed
RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_hTC_Asia_India_1.28.720.10_Radio_1.1204.103.14_release_257789_signed
but it stops when trying to renew a signature (approximate translation from russian) saying, that I've got wrong version of RUU. As I understood from some threads, I need to downgrade hboot, but I can't find proper RUU for my phone. Or problem is in something else?
Solved that one with oem lock, now got into another. Fastboot says I have kernel 3.14.720.24. Everywhere I go I find only versions like 1.24.x.x fow my CID but plenty of 3.14.x.x for european CIDs. Maybe I still flashed wrong kernel? Phone won't go further than One X splash now.
Thanx forward.
type command fastboot getvar version-main then go to this thread>>>>>http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975140 and look for your cid then the nandroid that matches the result you got from version main, which I assume is what you typed>>3.14.720.24
