Hey everyone!
I'm having this issue with FXP kernels.. When I enter the CWM, with key pressing the screen moves! some graphic problem, I dunno what is it
Any idea what is the reason for this? I've tried couple of FXP kernels, I wiped and formatted and did everything and still same
I have Arc S
It's a known bug bro. Just use it anyway.

This can happen when u flash custom kernel with CWM pre-install (CWM latest). Don't worry. It is OK.

Well, the thing is, I do a factory reset, wipe cache, Dalvik, System, Battery stats, and flashed CM9. Everything perfect, it starts the (blue strange CM9 monster) logo and it loads.
But, at locker screen it show a "launcher" error (I don't remember the name of the launcher) and everything is EXTREMELY SLOW, takes like 10 second to unlock de phone and is like slow motion.
Any idea? Maybe the kernel?

the kernel you should be using is the one given to you in the CM9.zip which is FXP 130 or 131 (what ever one you get) if you are using a different kernel you will have the slowest rom
I flashed via FT the FXP kernel img included in the cm9.zip, now, when I'm flashing CM9 in CWM it says “Status 7 error” and some build.prop text showing my device name. And of course, the installation is aborted.
What now?

Try flash kernel using fastboot man. Not sure if it is caused by the flashtool. But I tried CM9 with following steps, it works well:
1. Flash the kernel using fastboot.
2. Boot into CWM and flash the ROM
3. Cheers!:highfive:
I did these for many times never got any problem.
There is FXP 132 already try use it. Im using it on my CM9
Well, 132 via fastboot worked perfect. Thank you guys.

I installed the stable cm9..flashed the fxp133 kernel..the installation went smooth but my screen touch function is lost..Any ideas??
Eventually restoring to the stock kernel with JJ hybrid..and yeah the touch is working with this one. So is the problem cos of the kernel or the ROM??
I ll tell the sequence which i followed..let me know where i went wrong..i downloaded the ROM, extracted the boot.img, copied the original cm9 zip into the root of SD..used fastboot mode of flashtools to flash the kernel boot.img..then went into CWM..wiped out SD data..then cache..and then dalvik..and then proceeded to install zip from sd..it installed fine..and then i rebooted..it showed d FXP kernel logo and then CM9 bootscreen and then it loaded like it should..BUT the touchscreen isnt working at all..the hardware keys-power and back i checked were working but not the touchscreen..
Where did I go wrong..i am on baseband -72..bootloader unlocked..
You've installed correctly. Possibly a corrupt download, try re-downloading the zip.

I downloaded both official stable CM9 as well as the FXP one on uploaded.to...tried with each of them but with the same result..both cant be corrupt n it wouldnt have extracted if it was a corrupt download anyways..m still wondering whats wrong..
Also I flashed doomkernel and tried installing..again the same..touchscreen still doesnt work..aarghh..
Flash the kernel, wipe data, system, cache, dalvik, battery stats and flash cm9.
It should work...

I did all that but the stupid touch screen issue still persists..wait..i didn't clear battery stats..but do u think that actually might create such an issue?

Wiping battery stats does nothing to your phone. It doesn't change anything, it doesn't affect anything. It cannot be the problem.
Then what do u think the problem is..infact the installation works fine so i think i m not messing up anything on that front..

Probably best to use flashtool to flash stock ics rom and kernel, then cm9 kernel/rom.
I would try another Kernel ... do you have an Arc or Arc S ... does someone know if it makes a difference ?

its giving me an error. flashing loader failed
Hi guys, I've flashsed the CM9 nightly ROM on my Xplay with lupus gb+ics kernel (should support CM9 too) but I'm stuck at the boot animation of CM9...I left it booting something like 10 minutes but it just doesn't load.
ROM downloaded from the official CM repository. Tried clean install with full wipe (data, system, cache, dalvik cache + fix permission after flashing process of the ROM) but still doesn't work.
Any idea ?
Did you try a different kernel?

I'm now trying with turbokernel, if it won't work I will redownload.
EDIT: FIxed, turbokernel worked fine for me thanks guys.
Unlocked bootloader, rooted and Installed CM11 on my Xperia S. Now I want to install PurePerformance X and can't get into CWM (lasted version - 6.0.x.x)
I tried:
- Hold vol UP while blue led
- Hold Power and Vol Down at the same time
- Tap Sony logo several times
I installed CWM with Recover X. It never works to go there after I install the system. I can only go into CWM going to Recover X procedures again. Its like its installed correctly but it doesn't stick on it.
You can install a modded kernel too.. With a cwm recovery

Can I flash this kernel now? Without the need to re-install the CM 11 and gaaps and without losing user data?
If you only re-flash the kernel you dont lose anything

This would be the kernel to flash, right?
http://goo.im/devs/RaymanFX/downloa...Nozomi//OpenSEMC-kk-beta2-oldmapping-boot.img
After flashing the kernel, no need to wipe data/cache?
do you have Xperia S or Xperia Acro S? if you have the Xperia S Try they Development Topic department... because have some issues about kernel to have full compatibility... and i don't have the xperia S.. i already use one to mod to my friend but using the Xperia S Android Development department...
I wish was that easy....
I will just Recover X it again and thats it.
