Hi guys, I've flashsed the CM9 nightly ROM on my Xplay with lupus gb+ics kernel (should support CM9 too) but I'm stuck at the boot animation of CM9...I left it booting something like 10 minutes but it just doesn't load.
ROM downloaded from the official CM repository. Tried clean install with full wipe (data, system, cache, dalvik cache + fix permission after flashing process of the ROM) but still doesn't work.
Any idea ?
Did you try a different kernel?

In CWM, I just flashed the AOKP Milestone 3 ROM, then the Gapps, and then the Franco kernel without rebooting.
Now I reboot and it seems to be stuck in the "Team Kang" boot animation forever.
I checked my MD5s and they were all good.
Did I do something wrong?

Hey I always do rom, gapps reboot sign in set things up then reboot flash the kernel. Never had bootloop. I'd say reflash dude.
Reflash using a stock ROM or Kernel or reflash something else?

Reflash the AOKP M3 rom and gapps. Then start the phone, set up your stuff and then reboot and do the kernel. I always wipe davlik when flashing a kernel too.
How would I unflash the kernel before reflashing the rom and gapps?

You don't need to. The AOKP romw will load it's own in built kernel. You getting sorted?
I the last 10x or so, have installed the ROM, GAPPS and a kernel all at the same time with no ill effects.
I wipe data and dalvik then just install rom, gapps, and kernel all in one go every time.. no ill effects

Hi,
I flashed modpunk's CM9 rom, and tested Reloaded ICS on it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1531222
When I reboot the phone, it starts to FC all apps.
Did somebody test the couple, and got same issue?
Thanks
Ale
I did the same, without problems. Maybe you can reinstall it?

I did it few times already...
Tested also 1.7 release, but no success.
How did you install it? I mean, what did you "clean" from recovery? Dalvik, data...
I see it FC Swiftkey X every time it get loaded, and many other apps.
I'm using Go Launcher and link2SD.
Did you mount the system in recovery mode... it's written in their instructions........ try reflashing your Rom, mount system and then flashing the reloaded ICS package....... this worked for me
I'll try later, flashing rom again and install immediately Reloaded ICS.
What do you mean with "mount the system"? start the phone until it boots?
By the way, I see that when I restart the phone, I get the message of space limit almost reached...
As I said before, I use link2SD, and with rom and Gapps I have about 54 MB free.
It sounds strange
Don't wipe dalvik after install.

I mean mounting the system in recovery mode
To do it,just go to "Mounts and storage" in recovery and select "mount system"
I got it both ways:
- start over, so new rom installation, reloaded ICS and restore all apps
- CM9 installed and fully customized, than install reloaded ICS without clean Dalvik
Just another question, quite nooby, I know...
How to remove it? Just in case
Make a backup before you install it.

I've tried on ALPHA3 version, it's not working on me too...
BTW, i already tried this solutions...
1- mount /system -nothing has changed
2- do not wipe cache -nothing has changed
BTW, is there any other way to get transparent status bar on CM9?
If you read the op of the reloaded ics thread, the dev himself says that it doesn't work with the latest versions of cm9

I installed the stable cm9..flashed the fxp133 kernel..the installation went smooth but my screen touch function is lost..Any ideas??
Eventually restoring to the stock kernel with JJ hybrid..and yeah the touch is working with this one. So is the problem cos of the kernel or the ROM??
I ll tell the sequence which i followed..let me know where i went wrong..i downloaded the ROM, extracted the boot.img, copied the original cm9 zip into the root of SD..used fastboot mode of flashtools to flash the kernel boot.img..then went into CWM..wiped out SD data..then cache..and then dalvik..and then proceeded to install zip from sd..it installed fine..and then i rebooted..it showed d FXP kernel logo and then CM9 bootscreen and then it loaded like it should..BUT the touchscreen isnt working at all..the hardware keys-power and back i checked were working but not the touchscreen..
Where did I go wrong..i am on baseband -72..bootloader unlocked..
You've installed correctly. Possibly a corrupt download, try re-downloading the zip.

I downloaded both official stable CM9 as well as the FXP one on uploaded.to...tried with each of them but with the same result..both cant be corrupt n it wouldnt have extracted if it was a corrupt download anyways..m still wondering whats wrong..
Also I flashed doomkernel and tried installing..again the same..touchscreen still doesnt work..aarghh..
Flash the kernel, wipe data, system, cache, dalvik, battery stats and flash cm9.
It should work...

Wiping battery stats does nothing to your phone. It doesn't change anything, it doesn't affect anything. It cannot be the problem.
Then what do u think the problem is..infact the installation works fine so i think i m not messing up anything on that front..

Probably best to use flashtool to flash stock ics rom and kernel, then cm9 kernel/rom.
I would try another Kernel ... do you have an Arc or Arc S ... does someone know if it makes a difference ?

yes, ive wipe/ factory reset, wipe cache and dalvik. every time it does the same.
it wont pass the boot animation at all.
is there a way to push files onto the phone without it being debugging mode or anything?
i cant gain root access to it, so my question is, is there a way to push files on a different way?
adb push in a custom recovery
Unlock the boot loader
Flash ClockworkMod Recover
Adb push a ROM to SD card
Wipe data/cache
Wipe system and dalvik-cache
Flash ROM and Gapps
This should do it. You may also want to try restoring an old backup, if you have one.

flash stock using fastboot.

Looks like imoseyen & CM9 don't like each other. I'd try reflashing the kernel that comes with cm9 stable (just extract it) via fastboot. If that doesn't work, you'll probably have to do a full reflash of your ROM.
I ended up unrooting it and flashing stock. I'll just wait until cm10 gets stable.

Hello I been trying to use the ktoonz kernel for some time now and every time I install it after reboot I get a black screen after. The rom is compatible cause a lot of people have it up and running with the jelly bomb 11.0 rom. Anyone has any idea why this is happening? I searched the forums and I can't find a solution any help would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance
I would not think you would need to flash this kernel over the ROM since Jelly Bomb 11 comes with this kernel already installed.
Having said that you should not have a problem flashing the kernel again, as long as you flashed the correct one. Did you flash the TW kernel or the AOSP kernel?

I flashed the from itself and I got the black screen so I downloaded the TW kernel same result then I tried the aosp and the black screen remains I don't know what I'm doing wrong
Jelly Bomb is a TW ROM so you need the TW kernel. The AOSP kernel will not work.
You may need to wipe all (data, cache and Dalvik) after flashing this ROM.

you're not alone I have the exact same issue but mines boot up and then non stop flickering of screens and menus going black then coming back when i tap the screen. Im on Phantom Hackers rom (2.1 rooted / mostly stock) I tired the kernel cleaner but was told to run it BEFORE I flask ktoonsez kernel. No dice I got the same effect.
I should probably try the cleaner after flashing the kernel huh? .....brb.
Edit: No dice - same effect flashing the cleaner before and after flashing the kernel.
have to go back to freeza "LJ7 Kernel with bootanimation support" only one that works for me.
Can't understand what would be causing this.
