I bought unlock service on eBay for $7.99 month ago now it is 8.99. A guy from UK had me install few pieces of software on my computer and plug my T999 to USB so he could connect online and run his software. These are his instructions and that means that there is a way to unlock our T999 without a unlock code just by running his software. This has been available for last 2 months but no one wants to publish that software yet.
Preparations needed before the unlock - on your PC
Step 1: Download and install usb redirector from the next link:
http://www.incentivespro.com/usb-redirector.zip
Step 2: I will connect to your pc using team viewer. Please download team viewer from this link:
http://www.teamviewer.com/download/TeamViewer_Setup_en.exe
(How to install Team Viewer? Please see attached pdf with screenshot example)
Install it (select Install, not Run), and tick "Show advanced settings”, then when you get at "Use Team viewer VNP", then select that to. After is installed, open it, keep it open and send me the id and password.
Samsung Phone settings - Before online unlock - On your phone

LOL Everyone knows that. If you have account with T-mobile and your phone's IMEI is registered on their network you can request unlock right away or if it's a new account after 40 days. You can send other new request every 90 days for different IMEIs. Unfortunately this is not what this tread is about.
This is per line so the more phone lines you have on your T mobile account the more SIM unlocks you can request at the same time. If you know someone else who has Tmobile account you need to put his/her SIM in your phone for just few seconds (yes I tested it many times) then wait 3 days to show up in their system and then request unlock.
I would advise people against this, but you may do so at your own risk. The person connecting to your computer over TeamViewer has complete access over your machine and can even prevent you from seeing your screen or moving your mouse or entering input from your keyboard. You can disable certain features in the settings, but do make sure you know the potential risks involved in letting someone access your machine. I'm not saying that the OP isn't legit, because I do not know that for sure, but just a word of caution to those considering this.

Maybe he run Z3X BOX remotely on my PC?

Z3box is an actual box that you use. Unless he rerouted the com port of the USB that way he could access it from his device. But yeah I don't trust letting a stranger connect to my computer.

This has been done using the Z3x tool, and it needs the same instructions as in the first post (1.Enter *#7284# tap: QualomUSSB Settings - Select: DM + Modem + ADB 2.Settings - Developer options - checked: USB Debugging).
So this is probably how he does this.

I am also traveling out of the country and asked T-Mobile to unlock my SGS3 and they did. This is the 3rd phone I have had unlocked with T-Mobile. Have had service with them for years.
Really nice when people are talking about me If you ever need my service can find me on ebay onlineunlock or on my website onlineunlocks.com . By the way do not need to worry about the fact that would take over your pc using teamviewer, the person you connect to using teamviewer can see everything you do, and can just stop connection anytime if it does not like what you do

The thread I was searching for, but can't find, said to enter the code and choose the other option, then go back to pda mode immediately, as part of troubleshooting.
I am having a WHALE of a time getting ANYTHING at all flashed on my glide.
even the official kies update wont go thru, cant get odin to flash anything.
everything i have tried, the best i have goten is on the odin screen on phone, the blue progress bar goes about 1/8th inch and never moves past that.
i have tried this on several different computers, win 7 x64 and win xp pro.
same thing on all of them.
(I just tried it on a fresh vista (uggh) system, and vista won't do anything but call the phone an unknown device)
here;'s the thread i have going in the dev board:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1877350
I am right now trying the leaked one click program on yet a different computer.
it gets to bootloader.bin and does not move any more
Perhaps the most frustrating thing about this whole ordeal is; when i first got the phone and found that there was going to be an official ICS upgrade, i decided to not mod the phone at all - no root or anything, so i wouldn't have a problem doing the official upgrade.
so my very first attempt to do anything at all to the software on this phone was to use the official instructions from the URL in the txt msg.
arrrggh.
(sorry for this pointless post, but i am SO frustrated and sad over this)
[bold]UPDATE[/bold]
ok, so here's what finally worked:
using a different USB cable that i found laying around.
for all of samsung's rhetoric about "only use the oem data cable" "never use anything but the oem data cable" "blah blah oem usb cable blah blah"
after trying this on like 6 different computers all with same results, i just found a usb cable laying around at work and decided to try it, just for the heck of it - IT DIDNT TAKE 5 MINUTES TO FLASH!
are you kidding me? no eric, i am not.
I AM NOW ICE CREAM SANDWICH!
seriously, FOUR days of banging my head on the wall, and it was the freaking OEM data cable that was the problem.
:silly::silly::silly::silly:
Yea never use OEM cables for some reason they don't work great.. blackberry cables work great

Can someone help me with this? I think i've tried just about everything.
Specs:
sprint samsung galaxy s3 - phone
CDMA Tools DFS Demo version 4.0.0.5 - software
windows 7 ultimate 64 bit
Problem:
DFS seee the 'samsung mobile usb serial port' in the upper window of the port manager, but it does not appear on the 'devices online' portion. i have successfully had those ports appear there, but its like a flash in the pan on and off, and i have successfully flashed the phones but my goal was unsuccessful. since then DFS has stopped recognizing my s3.
I've put the galaxy into diag mode ##DIAG# and set it to CDMA Modem, and DM + MODEM + ADB for USB setting.
i have/had samsung galaxy s3 driver installed as well as generic samsung USB drivers installed.
I've done a combination of uninstalling and reinstalling them with no luck.
i've disabled kies.
i've factory reset the s3 and tried DFS with no luck.
i've uninstalled DFS and reinstalled different version with no luck.
i've gone into the registry and reset the port com values with no luck.
============================================
what i'm trying to do:
Get sprint s3 onto verizon prepaid. i have the following:
samsung gusto 2 (with 60$ of prepaid minutes)- donor phone
verizon fascinate s1 - dmu donor
sprint samsung galaxy s3 (naturally)
and i cant seem to get data to work on the s1 (calls and text work). i tried and tried but i'm having some major issues.

BUMP!!! Please I am having the same issue. I want to flash a Sprint version to Cricket Wireless but the phone has stopped being recognized, it only show up as a com port but there is no actual recognition of the phone by DFS, QPST, even CDMA workshop doesnt connect to it. Please helP
Ok its working for me but I suspect this is just temporary. Ok mine is a sprint s3 so I don't know if this works with other phones but instead of ##diag# I used *#7284# and I also plugged it into another usb port on my comp. I'm pretty sure our problem will occur again but for now it's working.

annndddd its not able to read the port again. this just doesn't happen with DFS it happens with cmda ws and other programs. its a windows thing.
does anyone have a working consistent solution for this?

its usually like com 6 or higher. i guess i'll try those. hey are u referring to an older version of dfs as far as resetting port? i remember seeing that on 3.1 or so. i'll go test that out
Hey buddy, I was working on flashing my brand new never-activated S3 and became across the same issue with DFS not recognizing my S3. Here is my 100% working solution!!!
Step By Step. Sprint GS3 Instructions.
1. Put your S3 out of DIAG MODE,
---DIAL##3424#
-Select PDA, MTP + ADB. Then press back button all the way to homescreen.
2. Reboot phone.
3. Once your phone is back, put your S3 in DIAG MODE again.
----DIAL ##3424#
Select CDMA MODEM, DM+MODEM+ADB. Then press back button all the way to homescreen.
Plug it in, give it a second. And tada, DFS detects your S3 as an online device. I'm guessing Samsung limited the number of times you can plug in your phone and read/write programming settings, to 1 per boot. By the way, I'm working on flashing it to Virgin Mobile USA.
Oh man! I'm gonna run home and try this! Thanks for the response either way!
Hay would u know how to flash the MiFi 2200 to verizon prepaid by any cance?

Remarkably enough, this worked. I can't stop wondering why on this phone setting Phone Utils to MODEM does not work and PDA works...

None of you guys are going to like this answer...but it's the truth.
This phone is crap. Period.
You want to know the ONLY real trick to get it to read in CDMA WS, DFS, QPST, etc?
Factory reset. A lot. Then try different cables. Factory reset again. Then a different USB port. Then factory reset AGAIN. And if it still don't work.
You guessed it. Factory reset AGAIN.
Reboot your computer. Factory reset.
The reason is this...the highest percentage of the time, if the phone restarts & is recognized as the same COM port, it will usually not allow any software to connect to it.
I've flashed hundreds of phones...way more than I care to think about, and the SGS3 (Verizon and Sprint) is the absolute most troublesome. It will make you second guess everything, over and over and over again. The Verizon SGS3 holds a special place in my heart as the phone I absolutely hate the most. It used to be the HTC Thunderbolt because you have to reboot after you do damn near anything with diag mode, etc...or LG when you make changes in EPST for mms/data/etc on the handset itself constantly rebooting but NOooooooooooooooo the Verizon SGS3 makes me want to kill it...and the Sprint one is close behind...
They're just quirky. If you can't connect your Sprint one, factory reset it, switch it back to Diag mode & plug it in....you'll almost always connect the first time, unlike the Verizon version which almost always takes multiple resets before it decides to do something. The only thing the posts in this thread that have worked have in common, is that they cause the device to be recognized on a different com port (or as a different device) each time it's restarted.
But, once you make it to the programming phase, WATCH OUT! This thing is FAST and reliable. For added fun, when I do the Sprint ones, I'll also install the SlimRom and OMG...talk/text/data wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee & SlimRom is lightweight & MMS will work without 3rd party apps. FUN!
If this helped, or was the least bit entertaining, please click "THANKS"!

I understand your feelings bro. Actually I felt this way before until I finally figured it out, after a lot of hair pulling and gnashing of teeth. When you enter DIAG mode MAKE SURE PDA IS SELECTED, NOT MODEM. Then tap Qualcomm settings and select the option with RMNET. Voila, phone will be seen by ANY programming tool (CDMA Workshop, QPST, DFS). Hope this saves someone from a lot of hair pulling and gnashing of teeth.
From time to time I cannot connect to mobile data, even though 3G shows above the signal triangle. A few solutions that randomly work are to toggle the radio from LTE/CDMA to CDMA only (and then back to LTE), toggle in and out of airplane mode, and the last resort of rebooting. The only method that works consistently is rebooting. Happened again today, and I noticed a few oddities on the phone status page in settings:
- Both IMEI and MEID were shown as "unknown"
- Phone number was visible
- Mobile status shows "connected"
- IP addresses (both IPV4/IPV6) were assigned
Prior to this (for the past 108 or so hours of uptime) all was fine, but in the midst of playing Words with Friends the signal bars grayed out and would not resume the connection. After several trials of my "solutions", I had to reboot. Sure enough, after reboot all was well again, and the IMEI and MEID were again displayed correctly in the phone status page.
As my signature shows, I am stock unrooted. While I have seen that a few individuals somehow wiped out their efs partition during a flash, that doesn't seem to be the case here since all of my info came back upon reboot.
Thoughts?

Since you're completely stock, try exchanging for a referb with Verizon?
Will the next nexus have a longer screen?
I found that reseating the SIM card fixed my triangle (Roaming) issue. May be worth a shot.
I had this same issue. Sudden loss of service. IMEI: unknwon, Phone Number: unknown, etc...
I brought it to VZW to try a new sim. No go. They told be to call Samsung.
They verified that I actually had tried the idiot proof stuff, and confirmed its dead. Still under 1 year manufacturer's warranty. They're paying to mail it back and say they'll repair it, and send it back to me. Here's hoping they don't care that I've been flashing it like crazy for the past 5 months.

Hard to say our problems are related. I am stock unrooted, and as stated in the OP only my IMEI and MEID were unknown. Also came back on reboot. Chances are you killed your efs partition during one of your flashing sessions.

In the future, if anyones IMEI/MEID is perm-disabled due to whatever reason... my thread found here(Post #2) has info on repairing the Gnex MEID/ESN/IMEI.
This has happened to me recently. I've been flashing *safely* since the G1. Since Jelly Bean flasshing removed my network access. I went through a warranty repair and upon unlocking same problem. If my MEID or ESN is corrupt, I have not figured out how to repair it using Prime's instructions. That's a new world to me.

Autoprime, I did find that thread in my frenzied search to fix my phone. I downloaded the tool in post #2 but was confused how to get my phone connected as a COM port, or converserly, it would not recognize it when I changed the setting to USB. Do I need to put my phone in a particular mode, before that utility will recognize it? Do I have to go through the setup in Post #1 (ETS) prior to using the IMIE writing utility? Thanks.

as u said in last sentence... you will have to go thru post 1 steps(only some of them!) to connect to meid tool.
since you guys are on a verizon gnex.. you would need to flash a Sprint rom in order to set the phone into diag mode. i believe most vzw roms have these options left out.. at least stock did.
2 things are required for a successful Ets Diag connection...
1. setting diag mode... this is the *#*#DIAG#*#* menu
2. setting Ets Channel mode to "USB" . This is done in the *#*#DATA#*#* > More > Ets Channel settings.
It MAY be possible to stick with the Verizon rom and use the Sprint Diagnostics App: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1774503
not sure if it works with VZW roms tho(im a sprint user).
The VIA Ets tool is the equivalent to messing with QPST/QXDM on Qualcomm phones. Just like Qualcomm phones have to be put into diag mode first before connecting to QPST, the Galaxy Nexus has to be set in the right mode as well.

Thanks very much for laying that out. Is this something that "just happens"? It seems like (over several months) I flashed 50 - 60 times, radio a few times, changed from CWM to TWRP with no problems and then in the middle of the day, I just lose signal.
Could it be a hardware issue? I read somewhere that a modem in a phone got fried and caused the same thing.

i mean.. in my experience it comes with messing with the phone.. the EFS etc. could be from a bad flash.. but yes it could be hardware... or theres even a small chance its just random. youd have to look at the factors leading up to the issue for the best guess.
overall tho.. outside of messing with the efs/NV.. its kinda weird for it just just to happen.. id consider that very rare.
UPDATE: sent back to Samsung. They replace the main board under warranty. Works like a charm now.

Missing MEID/IMEI no service but internet is working.
I've been searching high and low and have came across various forums that are related to my problem but I'm still not sure if its the problem I have
or what to do exactly. I have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus with VZW, rooted, running a custom ROM (CM10), Android version 4.1.2 JZO54K. My
service got disconnected and when I paid to get it reconnected I get an empty signal triangle and sometimes an R above it (roaming). My internet
works oddly enough but I'm unable to receive/make calls or text messages. My status reflects; Network: searching for service; Service state: out of
service; Mobile network state: disconnected; MEID: unknown; IMEI: unknown. Before my phone was disconnected it was working fine, please
help!!!
If you did some backups time to time and if you have backup of data folder, inside of data folder you should have folder radio. Inside the radio folder should have data.bin file and data.md5. In my case they was original data files of my phone and after their copy to factory folder ot restore my IMEI.
I hope that helps.

Hello All, I am one of those who recently bought an HTC One V from Virgin Mobile hoping to use it on Page Plus. For last several days I have been searching on how to unlock this phone but haven't found a way to do so. I recently found some answers and have been trying to unlock the boot loader but can't seem to find a way to do it. The instructions online said to first hold down the down arrow key and press the power button next but that is not working. Does anyone know if the option to unlock the boot loader is disabled by VM? Also, has anyone figured out a way to go around it? If someone knows how to use this phone on Pageplus or is aware of any how to's, please post and I would really appreciate it.
TIA!
Register on htcdev.com, sign in, select unlock boot loader, there will be a list of phones, choose the one that says other supported phones.
From there HTC will guide you through the unlock method. There are also some guides in the general section.
As far as page plus, I know some stores will flash it for you. Check craigslist in your area and I'm sure there will be a local shop that will do it for cheap. Just choose someone reputable, nothing worse than getting conned or scammed.
Good luck!

There's no need to give it to someone to flash.
I registered my virgin htc one v on page plus last week. Procedure is as follows:
Unlock bootloader - basically htcdev as mentioned above, once the bootloader is unlocked you can use fastboot and install a root/custom recovery (cwm or teamwin)
Root phone.
Install MSL finder app that requires root. I think this is specific per phone, not 100% sure.
Use the diag code on the phone. I think it's something like ##3424#, use the msl code, enable the modem thing.
Install the HTC diag modem driver.
now you can access the phone using QPST or CDMA workshop.
Now all you need to do after that is find a online dealer, there are a few that will do this step for free. Basically port your number or establish a new activation, give them your esn and let them register the phone to page plus. Also download a pageplus prl.
Back in QPST (I think that's what it's called) or CDMA workshop, reset your msl code to 6 0s (000000) and load the prl file on the phone. You may also have to manually set your MIN/phone number. I think activation might take care of this for you? Not 100% sure.
Make sure with the new prl the phone is rebooted and perform an activation, dial *228. With your msl set to 000000 the verizon activation should be able to be completed fine.
Now you should have a working pageplus htc one v phone. Phone and text will work. 3g is another matter, all the settings will still be set up for sprint/virgin mobile. I'm working on the 3g portion but there are tutorials that cover how to convert any phone to verizon 3g and you should/can follow those.
Quick question, what's "page plus?"

One google search can clear that up. Since we're talking about cell phones and activating it, i would think it's safe to assume it's another prepaid carrier. P+ is a reseller of verizon. The only real benefit for me is that they have a real prepaid plan, you can buy 2000 minutes for a whole year which virgin doesn't seem to have available, which is perfect for my parents. They have monthly plans which are similar but i think a bit better than virgin.

Erm, i bought this on the 50$ virgin mobile sale last week. it's on page plus now.
Does that answer your question?
I mean, any CDMA HTC One V should be portable to page plus. It's all the same radio technology. GSM however will not be able to be ported to P+.

Hi, i bought the $50 One V too and was wondering if I could follow your steps to activate on Verizon? Don't need text/3G, just wondering if my mom could use it in lieu of her dumbphone w/o paying for data on verizon postpaid. Thanks in advance!

You get text, just got to fiddle with the settings for mms.
Basically from all my tinkering it comes down to this. Yes, it works. You have to follow the steps above,
unlock the boot loader
get root installed
install the msl finder
turn on diag mode (##3424# or something)
connect to qpst
change the msl to 000000
put in a prl that's made for sprint phones on verizon (not too hard to find)
reboot
make sure your esn is associated to pageplus (online resellers of minutes can do this for free if you look around), dial *228 for activation
make a call out to set up your voicemail
to get quasi 3g (it's not 3g due to ha/aaa shared secret passwords that as far as i know you can't get with a sprint phone for whatever reason) you have to play with qpst and setup the m.i.p. profiles, an/un for verizon. It says 3g but it's like 1x speed slow.
To get full 3g speed you have to get the right shared passwords which as far as i've been able to determine are associated with your esn. I've read somewhere that you need a real verizon phone, swap esns, reactivate data, copy the passwords, swap esns back and program the sprint phone with the shared secret passwords. As far as i can tell this is the donor phone method. I haven't been able to verify that method but i might be able to in a month or so when i get my hands on a verizon phone.
You'll want to do this setting up before installing any custom roms. I installed pacman on mine after setting it up for page plus.

Is it necessary to change the msl to 000000 in order for the phone to work? I didn't change it and my phone works fine on Page plus. I understand it won't be able to receive OTA updates, but is that 100% necessary? What happens if I don't change it to 000000?
pm me if you would like a link that i believe has the data issue fixed i cant post in thread
I read on another forum people were having problems doing this method after updating to the newest firmware with the phone. Mine is updated can anyone give me some insight on what I can do?

Changing form won't unlock and is your phone paid off?and is it blacklisted?
Hi there, you can go to Onlineunlocks.com $40 or IMEIGURUS.com $30,
I unlock 7 Sprint Galaxy S8+ from onlineunlocks and 2 T-mobile S8+ and S7 Edge from imeigurus. Everything done remotely with USB cable between there hours of service, they open today after 11:00 am EST or New York Times on sundays, they also unlock Note 8 too same price. I have both t-mobile S8 and Note 8 unlock running on Verizon network using the U1 Firmware, everything works excellent.
Device must be paid off
Option 1: T-Force
1. go to facebook.com and send them a message
- Request to speak to T-Force and someone from that team will immediately take over the message
- Please note there is a delay between responses (I'm guessing they're talking to multiple folks) of about 3 minutes so be patient
2. Tell them you bought your device your T-mobile branded device directly from samsung and you need your IMEI added to their Database in order to use the Unlock App
3. They will ask for the following
- email address
- phone number (you'll get a link to verify your account)
- IMEI #
- proof of purchase (send them a picture via the facebook messenger app)
4. They are aware of the situation and will escalate it to the correct team
5. Wait 72 hours (I actually only needed 48 hours)
6. Go to the Unlock App on your Samsung S8(+) and click the permanent unlock button (see attached picture below)
- if successful it will tell you and you'll need to restart your phone (I had to do like 3 restarts)
- just keep spamming the button once or twice a day (be patient...it'll work out)
- the Unlock App will disappear from your app drawer (it's actually just in the "disabled" state so it doesn't show in app drawer)
- Put in another SIM card to verify (I put in a AT&T SIM to validate)
7. Be happy because this was super easy
Note: do not need to wait 40 days (this is not true ... I had my phone for only 1 day)
Option 2
You need to call T-MOBILE and get your request escalated to a Sr. Technical support rep. From there, they need to have your device entered into the device distribution inventory system. Once that is done, you will be able to use the Device Unlock app on your phone.

This is the right answer, if OP is the original purchaser of the device from Samsung.com. Don't pay for 3rd party unlocks when a little work on Twitter will get it done free. This was my experience going through the process: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72483309&postcount=10
