Changing form won't unlock and is your phone paid off?and is it blacklisted?

Hi there, you can go to Onlineunlocks.com $40 or IMEIGURUS.com $30,
I unlock 7 Sprint Galaxy S8+ from onlineunlocks and 2 T-mobile S8+ and S7 Edge from imeigurus. Everything done remotely with USB cable between there hours of service, they open today after 11:00 am EST or New York Times on sundays, they also unlock Note 8 too same price. I have both t-mobile S8 and Note 8 unlock running on Verizon network using the U1 Firmware, everything works excellent.

Device must be paid off
Option 1: T-Force
1. go to facebook.com and send them a message
- Request to speak to T-Force and someone from that team will immediately take over the message
- Please note there is a delay between responses (I'm guessing they're talking to multiple folks) of about 3 minutes so be patient
2. Tell them you bought your device your T-mobile branded device directly from samsung and you need your IMEI added to their Database in order to use the Unlock App
3. They will ask for the following
- email address
- phone number (you'll get a link to verify your account)
- IMEI #
- proof of purchase (send them a picture via the facebook messenger app)
4. They are aware of the situation and will escalate it to the correct team
5. Wait 72 hours (I actually only needed 48 hours)
6. Go to the Unlock App on your Samsung S8(+) and click the permanent unlock button (see attached picture below)
- if successful it will tell you and you'll need to restart your phone (I had to do like 3 restarts)
- just keep spamming the button once or twice a day (be patient...it'll work out)
- the Unlock App will disappear from your app drawer (it's actually just in the "disabled" state so it doesn't show in app drawer)
- Put in another SIM card to verify (I put in a AT&T SIM to validate)
7. Be happy because this was super easy
Note: do not need to wait 40 days (this is not true ... I had my phone for only 1 day)
Option 2
You need to call T-MOBILE and get your request escalated to a Sr. Technical support rep. From there, they need to have your device entered into the device distribution inventory system. Once that is done, you will be able to use the Device Unlock app on your phone.

This is the right answer, if OP is the original purchaser of the device from Samsung.com. Don't pay for 3rd party unlocks when a little work on Twitter will get it done free. This was my experience going through the process: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72483309&postcount=10

It seems that people say to upgrade the rom and it should work.
Some older threads discussed this. The new rom is available at XDA-Wiki
Good luck!
I'm sitting here with my locked cavalier waiting for the unlock code to come to me!

I'll definitely consider ROM's upgrading. Thank you for the advice.
However, I'd like to post some feed-back about people behind http://www.x02ht-unlock.com/
( Dear forum admins, PLEASE do not remove this message. It's quite emotional, but I'm posting it to achieve one of two possible results. And every one of them is positive enough:
- people behind x02ht-unlock.com would hear me finally, and help to solve my problem (and, probably, I'm not the only one who has the same problem, but couldn't get any feedback via the support form);
=OR=
- someone wouldn't spend $50.00 for no result. )
Their support was more than terrible: they replied to all my questions promptly, but only until I finally sent them money for an unlock code ($50.00).
The current state: my phone is still not locked, and no one at support @ x02ht-unlock.com is willing to even talk to me on this problem.
I've done everything according to the instructions, but still get "SIM locked" message. I've sent them my problem's description (and even attached a screenshot), and no one replied to me. I sent problem description via email and using their "Send a question" form. Both both were left without _any_ reply.
It now seems to me, that they're cheating and the program never worked for anybody (someone on the internet can say it works, but who can be sure that he's not the person who receives money for that program?)
Even if the program is working, in fact, but they simply don't know how to solve my problem -- they could tell me about that and offer to return my money (because the program didn't its function). So, it's cheating anyway.

1. Power on phone with a non-original SIM card inserted
2. When prompted, enter unlock code you received from us
Attention! Use the onscreen keyboard and make sure that wireless mode is OFF.
3. Your cell phone is now unlocked
If you see a message Sim lock.. You can still make emergency calls your phone has a blocked counter due to several previous incorrectly entered unlock codes. Plug your phone in charger and wait about few minutes to few days until it allow you enter unlock ...

Yes. And when I had the Galaxy S2 (SGH-T989). I was a noob on XDA and to ROMS. I would mess it up every like 2 months and I would have the same problem. THey'd say I own a Mytouch 4G...I use to get so mad...There system is slow.
Yeah it's alright, it shows SII for me when I've never owned one from them

AT&T On DI2

I'm trying to figure out how to get my rooted Droid Incredible 2 (with CM9 ROM) working with AT&T. I live in the U.S. and don't really care which band I use (Don't Need 4G). What are the steps I need to do to make it work, if possible?
You'd have to flash back to a stock rom then call Verizon and ask for an unlock code for your inc2 and just say that your letting a friend borrow it and there going out of country and it should take 1 to 3 days for them to email it to you, then insert your at&t sim card and a locked sim card message should pop up telling you to inter the unlock code then type in the code and bam your done
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda premium
Yes, unlocked DI2 does work on dometic AT&T or T-Mobile sim card for voice/SMS and 2G/Edge for data access (plus WiFi, of course)
AFAIK, they do not email the unlock code - unless they changed the procedures lately ... If you are already on a custom Sense DI2 rom, you should be okay and have no need to flash/unroot back to stock Rom just to do this - photos attached were saved while running SkyRaider's Zeus rom and Nit's Sense v5.0 rom, both of them worked flawlessly on GSM bands using prepaid Sims. The last one was snapped inside Starbucks in old San Juan using WiFi as signal wasn't great inside in extended roaming.
As VZW customer in good standing & account balances paid up-to-date, call from a land/secondary line & speak to Global Support (smartphone) tech staff (leave the DI2 up & running, battery charged & a spare/working Sim card on hand) and explain your need, they will verify your identity and once done - proceed to help & walk you thru the steps to unlock the device immediately - take 10 to 15 minutes including hold time as they search & retrieve the unlock code in their database. Did this awhile ago, vacationing down in the Caribbeans and need to use local Sim for calling and they will "caution" you about not able to provide tech support and customer being fully responsible for charges incurred, etc. with a sales pitch about various global/roaming options, etc. ... (Urrrr .... okay, understood, but let's just go ahead & help get it unlocked ... allright, please hold while ...)
You will be instructed to power down & reboot the device, and input short codes to access the special/unlock menu and carefully input the unique code, hit "Enter" and watch for the screen display for a successful unlocking. Then, power cycle it and check/test it for a successful dialing with your own Sim card and be done with.

They told me they had to hand it off to there "global" department and it took them 2 days to email it to me.

So the recent laws against unlocking don't have an effect for existing customers? I'll raise hell if they refuse to hand over the unlock code before I move to Lesotho.
Also, if I understand everyone correctly, they only hand over the codes for customers who got the phone from verizon? What if I picked up a 2nd Inc2 on ebay? They wouldn't hand over the code?

[Q] Alternate method of carrier unlocking?

This is the only thing left to solve for a working phone. AT&T branded E980, but trying to use another carrier. Entering code "2945#*980#" gets me to the "SIM unlock process" 5 category unlock screen. They are all clickable, but the message "Your phone is not personalized" pops up on all of them, with the unlock code area grayed out, & then a "dismiss" message pops up. I can't enter an unlock code in a grayed out screen. With all of the software available, there must be one that allows USB unlocking. Can someone please point me in the right direction, even if I have to pay to have it done.

What good is a code if you can't access the unlock screen because it's grayed out? BTW, I may have not been crystal clear in other started posts, but I did buy it unlocked, even though it wasn't what we would consider unlocked, & the vendor wont admit it wasn't fully unlocked. I made the mistake of having played with it since then (my mistake), figuring it was returnable, but can't get around the grayed out code unlock screen.
Then I don't know what to tell you bud ...... Keep searching

Sent the phone out for warranty service. Received it back a few days ago with a voided warranty & a SOL message. Not happy. Today I looked for a local business that could help out. It was a fun day running around to different cell phone stores that listed unlocking as a service. I finally found one that knew what they were doing. They claimed the phone was already unlocked, & tried an AT&T prepaid SIM to test it. After it passed that test, all it took was a call to Metro to register the IMEI on their network, & then entering the correct APN numbers. I now have a fully functioning E980. As for the seller & the warranty center, pretty obvious they don't have a clue & need some lessons on customer service.
So you needed the APN set lol

Ahhhh...... No. I figured out what the APN was from my other phone & entered it manually. It's the same one that's in there now, so it was a different problem causing the non-connection. The phone automatically found both AT&T, MPCS, & some other unidentifiable networks by searching. It wouldn't automatically connect, then it timed out. Then when the APN was manually entered it would save, but still wouldn't connect. It had to be registered manually with MPCS, through MPCS, & by MPCS. In fact, when I popped the SIM card in & started the phone, it would find MPCS, the company icon would briefly show on the screen, & then it would disconnect. After they registered the IMEI, it took a couple of minutes to find the phone over the network & connect. It's all good now.
Just so you know, if you are getting the "Your phone is not personalized" message, that means the phone is already network unlocked.

There was some confusion about that in other forum posts, because the wording wasn't exact compared known unlocked conditions. It can now be added to that group of known unlocked terms.

[Q] how to SIM unlock a T-Mobile G3?

Hi,
I just purchased a used T-Mobile G3 that I will be using on AT&T. Does anyone have any pointers on how to SIM unlock it? Is there a preferred method, or preferred supplied on eBay for unlock codes?
Thanks,
Toby.

OK, so I bought a code there, and 5 hours later is still hasn't arrived. So I bought a code from these guys: http://www.imei-unlocker.com/ which did come through. However, there are no instructions, so I found some on YouTube for the G3, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8TFWgPX5Al8
The trouble is, when I put in my AT&T SIM card into this T-Mobile phone and start it up, I am not prompted to unlock the phone at all. It starts right into Android and behaves like an unlocked phone except it says the network is locked when I try to make a call. That's it. No indication anywhere of how to access the unlocking mode. I'm stuck.
Edit: I found these instructions on T-Mobile's website, which confirm the method in the video:
http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-11974
Edit #2: about half hour after I wrote this the unlock code came through from the first site. I still no idea how to get past not being prompted to unlock, though.
Thanks,
Toby.
OK, resolved, if it helps anyone.
I managed to find an alternative method somewhere else that doesn't rely on an alien SIM card prompting an unlock code.
So the code from unlockcode247.com did eventually arrive, but without any instructions. A couple of hours after ordering it I gave up and bought a code from somewhere else. The email with that code took about 20 hours (!) to arrive, despite their page saying it would take a maximum of 2 hours. Bah! At least it contained a range of instructions on different methods to unlock in addition to the basic one of putting in an alien SIM. Someone might find these useful:
Method #1 Go to the dial screen and press “2945#*model number#”
for example if its a p999 you enter “2945#*999#” or if its a p990 you enter “2945#*990#” etc…
[so that's 851 for my T-Mobile phone.]
Method #2 to the dial screen and press 2945#*71001# as if making a call, enter code when prompted
Method #3 Go to the dial screen and press *#865625# as if making a call, enter code when prompted

I do find it strange that the phone didn't react to an alien SIM, but oh well, it's great that there's another way around it. All unlocked fine now.
do not use imei-unlocker

On the website It says delay for lg services. Maybe thats why?

Since this was a used phone it is possible that someone tried and failed unlocking it more than the maximum allowed tries.
I know whenever I have unlocked a phone, the prompt to unlock warns that you have x number of tries (I do not remember that number).
Also, I do not know if there is a way around it.

As long as you don't have any debt to T-Mobile don't they need to have a free solution to unlock your phone? For example if I called them right now they would unlock me for free even though I still have debt because I have had the phone for 6+ months. People got it unlocked through T-Mobile days after buying the phone by just saying they were going abroad.

I believe he has his unlock code. The problem is that when he boots up the phone with a different carrier's sim in it, it is not prompting him to enter an unlock code as it should.
Looking at my unlock instructions, I proposed the posibbility that someone tried and failed 10 times or more. Just guessing:
Read This First
* DO NOT use all attempts to enter the unlock code otherwise your phone will be hardlocked (all phones have at least 10 attempts)
* Make sure "Airplane Mode" and "Wi-Fi" is turned off under wireless connections if your LG is an Android device.
It also has other methods for trying. Perhaps another method will work:
Method #1 Insert a non accepted simcard, and enter code when prompted for a code
OR
Method #2 Go to the dial screen and press “2945#*model number#”
for example if its a p999 you enter “2945#*999#” or if its a p990 you enter “2945#*990#” etc…
OR
Method #3 to the dial screen and press 2945#*71001# as if making a call, enter code when prompted
OR
Method #4 Go to the dial screen and press *#865625# as if making a call, enter code when prompted
Quick question.... I just got my unlock code from Tmo. I was wondering if the unlock is retained no matter how much somebody may root/unroot/change ROMs/etc. Is it a "forever" thing? Or just for the current setup? Oh and do I unlock with Tmo SIM in or with the ATT one?
*Edit* oops replied to the op, disregard this post.
