That is why you have 5 hours screen on time. WiFi uses much less power then cell radio.
Edit: just realized you have an extended battery, in that case, if your on wifi especially shouldn't your screen on time be higher

HTC DINC2 clocking/volting.

Hey everyone. What type of values do you prefer to run on the DINC2 when it comes to clocks/volts? I've searched and read that this CPU is similar to the Thunderbolt, and people on the thunderbolt tend to overclock it anywhere between 1.4-2.0 GHz. Can I get some general statistics/info here? I'm looking for safe/typical statistics for the following:
1) Minimum clock speed (underclocking, for those who do not like to mess with voltage)
2) Maximum clock speed on STOCK voltage (overclocking without messing with voltage)
3) Minimum voltage on STOCK Speed (undervolting)
I plan on running either CM7Kang or SRZ1.3 and am wondering what I could do with it.
I normally run SRZ1.3 rom with overclock to 1.4GHz using SetCPU and undervolt to -50 on all values using IncrediControl.
Get the pretty close to the same battery life as stock and most of my apps load a bit faster.
It all depends on your phone man, each is a little different, I can only go to 1.4 something ghz before my phone locks up but I've heard of others going much higher, I wouldn't set my Max speed any lower than 768 because of lag. I would under volt all values by 50, then set the 245 MHz value to 725 mil volts and use the smart ass v2 gov so when the screen is off it uses that speed and sips battery...
Sent from my Incredible 2 using XDA App
I know phones are different, but I just wanted to know a generic thing. 1.4 GHz is your typical OC on stock voltage? Sounds about what the Thunderbolt guys said.
I've had my phone extremely stable at 1.8, but battery life sucked. Currently, I'm running cm7 with voltages -50, governor set to ondemand, min 384, max 1.4. I do get a little bit of lag coming from unlocking screen. So i would say 700mhz would be a good minimum.

im trying the -50 undervolt on condemned as we speak. 245/1209
I always oc to 1.3ghz, I am currently using the smoothass governor on aeroevans v6 ics kernel. I undervolt -25 across the board for AOSP roms and -50 for Sense roms. Currently running Touchpros ICS beta 3 build, Last night before I plugged in my phone I was at 67% after 16 hrs 32min. My phone runs silky smooth, no lag and very fast.

not necessarily bad but most of the time not needed due to less processes running all the time to suck battery like in a sense rom, it may work for people but it can lead to lagging and freezing when you undervolt too much.

Battery Saver Script - 6.30.12

Greetings all!
I have modified Calkulin's Battery Saver Script to work with our GNex devices. I updated the undervolt init.d script to work on both CPUs and tweaked the voltages based off Apex's voltage table. If you are setting cpu setting on boot via control app (ie: Glados, Franco, performance settings) please disable since the conflicting scripts will cause issues. The default governor and other settings can be modified by manually changing values within the scripts.
Prerequisites:
A kernel with init.d support
-default CM9 kernel doesn't work (still looking for a fix)
Flashing Instructions:
1. Reboot into recovery and make Nandroid backup
2. Flash attached zip file just like you would a rom.
3. Reboot and enjoy.
REMOVED FOR STABILITY/COMPATIBILITY
Undervolt Steps are based on # of CPU frequencies available:
Code:
STEPS_10="1475 1375 1325 1275 1225 1175 1050 975 850"
STEPS_9="1425 1375 1325 1275 1225 1175 1050 975 850"
STEPS_8="1375 1325 1275 1225 1175 1050 975 850"
STEPS_7="1325 1275 1225 1175 1050 975 850"
STEPS_6="1275 1225 1175 1050 975 850"
STEPS_5="1225 1175 1050 975 850"
CPU profiles:
Code:
BATTERY_PROFILE_1: From 100% - 85% battery level
MAX_CPU_SPEED="1200000"
MIN_CPU_SPEED="0"
BATTERY_PROFILE_2: From 84% - 0% battery level
MAX_CPU_SPEED="1000000"
MIN_CPU_SPEED="0"
AWAKE_GOVERNOR_ON: Changes to this initially after screen turns on
AWAKE_GOVERNOR="interactive"
AWAKE_MAX_CPU_SPEED=max profile speed
AWAKE_MIN_CPU_SPEED=max profile speed
AWAKE_DURATION="5"
SLEEP_GOVERNOR_ON: Changes to this once screen turns off if no SCREENOFFMAX file is found
SLEEP_GOVERNOR="conservative"
SLEEP_MAX_CPU_SPEED="800000"
SLEEP_MIN_CPU_SPEED="0"
The script at work.

Also are there any setting/options, I havent found any going through settings.

DO NOT RELINK MY KERNELS ON OTHER SITES, NO MIRRORS..
I would suggest people BACKUP and reflash CLEAN, setup (CLEAN ROM), and then Flash my kernel. Leave it at default settings a few hours to settle, and then tweak if you like.
If you Brick your device, kill your sd, or lose data, It's on you. And you probabally shouldn't be on XDA downloading and flashing ROM's and KERNEL's.

can i change the brightness level of capacitive buttons in this kernel?
i dont know if im missing it or what, but abyssplug is not there.
had the rotation problem but it was nothing that fixer couldn't handle.
also, camera lag is still lingering. however, its definitely not as bad as it was. its a lot more bearable. 4 out of 5 pics taken are lagfree.
GOOD WORK, TEAM!

hi ..i use xs
on first run i've got 10117 score on antutu v3.3 ( antutu set on 1900 mhx x 2, even though i set on 1.782 mhz ) ...., using no frills cpu and set to 384 - 1.782 , interactive and sio ....
on other run ( 5 time ) , no mather seting on no frills cpu i use, the score never get pass 6000 .... did i miss something ?
Try setting both cores with performance governor, which keep the cpu at max freq.
The frequencies above 1728 mhz(1782 , 1836 and 1900) have an overclocked bus (360 mhz instead of the stock 310) , so you'll get more boost using these frequencies.

During test put phone into fridge (freezer is the best), coz it reaches 80*C and decreases freq to 800MHz. In freezer it doesn't heat itself so much But I got 10260 points and I don't think that more is reachable without any other tweaks than OC...
How is the performance? Anyone tried play games with this kernel?
I'm on Trinity's kernel right now and it works great ,performance is very good and games work super fast. Please ,any feedback?

Installed fine with darthstaker rom wifi seems to be working great as well. Thanks for the kernel. Looking forward to a rom son too hopefully .
Edit: it seems that using an app like trickster mod to put the max cpu at say 1.3ghz only caps cpu 1. Cpu2,3,4 still go to 2.5ghz. Anyone else have this problem?

so i assume we need to wipe cache and dalvik correct? thats what i always did for kernels.
So much smoother, the responsiveness is better, not just blowing smoke. My floating toucher app is actually working flawlessly now, it would be unresponsive to my first touch half the time, now no issues .. I'm pretty happy already and I haven't done any tweaking.. So happy you're working on this device

It is that low, but if you go to change them, they will default to 800. I will have a fresh one up in maybe an hour
