Ok so I don't have a Nexus, but I have a Galaxy S2 and I know the Nexus has alot more developers than the S2 ever will have which is why I have come here...
I have an altered MMS.APK but nobody can recieve picture messages from IPhones... I'm not sure what the problem is, and seeing as so many people do have IPhones this is sort of an issue unfortunatly... My post and APK can be found right here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1668790
I've looked through everything I know and cannot find the issue. If there are any willing developers out there to help I would really appreciate it. I have spent 3 days on this and probably changed 1000 things and pushed this APK more times than god to my phone...
I'd really really appreciate the help, and i've looked everywhere and asked so many people.
Thank you for anyone willing to help me I really really appreciate it. You can send me a PM also! Thank you so much!
Chris
anyone?

BETA 1
Ok so after a long wait and massive help for Beebe24 (xda dev) me and him have both come up with with a dark themed MMS with blue bubbles for the SG2.
The link is attached at the bottom via the XDA site. It's still in the trial and error phase but so far no problems.
I know this works with ChicagoRom Remix and Darkside UCLE2 based.
Just copy to phones internal zip and apply it via clockworkmod like anything else. Reboot phone, good to go!!
Please make a Nandroid backup or at least copy your original mms.apk
I only know for sure this works with Chicago Remix rom but seeing as that is works on the UCLE2 baseband i'd assumed it works for anything running UCLE2 including darkside... Please post results.
Please let me know your findings and how you like it!!! Show your appreciation with the THANKS button

Do you have those roms in your phone? First time i hear of those and you should ask in that forum for help
Galaxy Nexus Stock + Franco m3
Hello, Im new on this forum as I just bought a Smasung Galaxy Nexus to use as a testing device for the Linux on Android Project. It is running stock jelleybean 4.1 and is Verizon 4G LTE version. However every now and then on the lockscreen it just completely locks up and i have to push on the backing or wait it out fo it to work again (I am not sure which one actually ade it work again). It does this 1 to 2 times a day and is relitivley annoying. Is this a bug with Jellybean or should I send it to Samsung for repair? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
So by now we all know that Jelly Bean 4.2 has been released and has already been pushed to a lot of Galaxy Nexus devices around the globe. Myself, like many others, have a Galaxy Nexus on the Verizon network. I'm just as eager as anyone to get the 4.2 update but I do realize it's going to be a while before Verizon officially has the 4.2 update for us. What are my options as of now and the near future? Are there any ROMs I can use with the Verizon network and run 4.2? I'm currently running 4.1.1 JRO03O, so would I have to find a way to update to 4.1.2 before I could update to 4.2? Also, if I am able to find a ROM that will get me to 4.2, what features do I have to worry about losing? Many features of my phone I hold close, so I'd like full disclosure on which features could be compromised. I really appreciate your time for helping me!
Also, please be as detailed as possible with your responses - I imagine there are many others that view the forums like myself, looking for the answers to these questions without having to read through multiple 100+ page threads, finding answers bit by bit. A lot of people are running stock JB 4.1.1 on VZW network like myself and could benefit from these answers. Thanks so much guys!
go check the verizon dev forum. thats your best bet.

You could just flash the 4.1.2 Takju firmware then wait a couple of hours and recieve it, thats what I did and I recieved it within 2 hours if you are really impatient.

I would NOT recommend doing this to your VZW Nexus.

I appreciate the simplicity if your answers, but I've been in the Verizon dev forum for a while now. I continue to read through thread after thread, but I want definitive answers. Please link me to the threads in the Verizon dev forum of ROMs that would work for me please. I created this thread so that others who were in the same situation as me could find the answers they need quickly, without having to browse through the verizon dev forum for hours and still feel unsure about flashing a rom. Again, if you don't mind, just link me to some of the threads you feel are important in relation to my situation. I'm more than happy to read through the thread, every single page. I just want to have a little assurance in the ROM I'm loading onto my Nexus. I need to make sure I don't need to run a 4.1.2 ROM first or if I can go straight from 4.1.1 to 4.2. etc etc Thanks guys

so you want to be spoonfed because you cannot read the title of the threads?
if you're replacing the system (which you are if you're flashing a rom) it doesnt matter what version you were on.
there are a couple 4.2 ROMs out already. they are all a little finnicky. my suggestion is to wait a couple days for the bugs to be worked out. as far as i know, some of the things not working last i checked was.
google location, go Google Now isn't working
photosphere was crashing in the gallery (although i was able to use it just now)
swype typing was not working (i have a 4.2 transformation package that i flashed and got it working)
overall, it is pretty stable with very few issues.
as for features missing from what you currently have or want, i dont know. its just Stock android 4.2 for right now.
lock screen widgets
photosphere
quick settings
new clock app
new Google apps (calendar, gmail with pinch to zoom ect)
its all there.
Flash CM10, it has a built in update checker so you will be good to go when they drop a 4.2 nightly.
Thanks for all the information! I guess I'll wait a week or so and see which ROM is out at that point and has the best reviews for stability and functionality. And yes, I can read the thread titles... but when you click on thread after thread and they were all started MONTHS ago, they aren't much help for an update that came out days ago. And also, none of the thread titles say anything about 4.2... sure, they say JB, but JB is 4.1.1, 4.1.2 and 4.2 so that doesn't help much either. That's why I asked. Also because in the VZW development forum it says DONT ASK QUESTIONS so... where else would I go? Isn't that the point of a Q&A forum? To answer questions and not go around being a smart ** to people just looking for help? Like seriously?

That is IF you want CM and the potential bugs that come with nightly builds.
does anyone know that status of Miracast on the Galaxy Nexus?
Hello everyone,
I will be getting a galaxy s3 in the upcoming days so i went to search things about android and found that many people change roms of the phone. From what i understood, roms are like tweaked versions of android.
What i would like to ask you is if there is a place where i can see the most used roms, because for me is kinda confusing because i found a lot in google and dont really know which ones are better. For me i probably would like a rom that is similar looking to the stock one, but that does not have the useless stock apps.
Thanks for your time

Some guy named @DataUnit promised us, that he would start building it for us and now he is just up and vanished.

I never promised it to you guys, but I promised myself to build it for our device!
I have some Internet problems like Bandwidth and other problems. When I fixed them, I will start developing.
I'm closing this project, since I have no success in this project.
Sorry people. Other developers may make this happen.
