Screen Glitches/Freezing at Lockscreen - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hello, Im new on this forum as I just bought a Smasung Galaxy Nexus to use as a testing device for the Linux on Android Project. It is running stock jelleybean 4.1 and is Verizon 4G LTE version. However every now and then on the lockscreen it just completely locks up and i have to push on the backing or wait it out fo it to work again (I am not sure which one actually ade it work again). It does this 1 to 2 times a day and is relitivley annoying. Is this a bug with Jellybean or should I send it to Samsung for repair? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

[Q] Need some files form VZW Nexus

I was just curious and wanted to try something, if anyone here may help me out. I am recieving an LG spectrum (I know this is a Nexus area) and I was doing some reasearch because I'm not a fan of the slide up to unlock and I found some info on how to get the aosp lock screen going and then it got me to thinking if there may be a way to switch the files for the aosp lockscreen with the ones from the nexus and be able to port it to other devices (like the spectrum,or razr). Don't know if it will work but I have an old phone I can try it on, so if anyone can help me out that would awesome. Thanks
It'll be much easier to get a stock 2.3 lockscreen than it will be to get a 4.0 lockscreen to port back to 2.3 phone.
Probably right but still want to tinker with the idea and if it can even be done
You're better off using a recent build of Cyanogenmod 7, where you will have the stock Gingerbread lock screen as well as the ability to add custom shortcuts and unlock actions. The ICS lock screen doesn't add anything that hasn't already been a part of CM7 for quite some time.

Sense 4 Port

Im looking for help in porting over a Sense 4 Rom from the Evo LTE. Im following the guide posted here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1625862. I tried asking a few great developers for some help but I can understand them being busy with the Jelly Bean leak. I just want to make sure I got everything correct before I try to flash this!!! If anyone can help I would appreciate it.
I don't think its possible. These guys tried and:
The developers of Sense4all tried everything to fix the main bugs on every device, but only 2 major bugs seem unpossible to fix for the developers. Almost every developer for Galaxy S, Galaxy S II, Galaxy S III, Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy Nexus S and so on, tried to get rid of the bug but nobody found out why it won’t work.

[Q] Android Beam

Hi Guys,
Thanks in advance for the help!
Im fortunate enought to have 2 Nexus 7's a Galaxy S3 and the HTC One X.
Here's my question:
The 2 Nexus 7 Tab's work flawlessly with Beam, and both N7's (one with Custom Rom, one with Stock) will communicate with the Galaxy fine.
The HOX however will not connect to any of them, im using Paranoid Android 2.5.3 with ncx AOSP 13.
Any ideas?
I hadnt even used it until yesterday but now its really frustrating that i cant get it working!!
Thanks again!

[Q] is it possible to use sprint hands free activation on an AOSP rom?

We all really appreciate the work you're doing. Question about this being a "bandaid" though: is there a potential permanent fix down the line?

In regards to this posted in the Cyanogen 10.1 samsung galaxy note 2 (sprint) forum, how would I use said 'band-aid?' while waiting for the upstream fix in CM 10. I'm stuck with 3g in a 4g area, and the thought of reverting back to TouchWiz gives me the chills. (Sprint Samsung Galaxy note II using Pac-Man rom).
PS. Don't be too harsh on me, as you can see by the post count I'm a foolish noob & recent convert on day 3 of my android experience.
Thanks tremendously,
GM.
After more digging it seems the answer to this question is almost certainly 'no'.
So let me refine my question: Is their a way to accomplish what sprint hands free activation accomplishes, carrier update/prl etc from an AOSP rom? I don't mind if I have to do some kind of procedure after every reboot to get 4g LTE back, I'm a linux veteran, I don't care if it involves replacing a file fixing permissions or killing and restarting a process, etc, whatever works, but having to flash back to TW to run through hands free and flash back to pacman/PA/CM/AOSP every single time I want to connect to 4G LTE, only to lose it and nigh see it again after a reboot is a little much here, and it sounds like the fix is pretty far off.
Thanks.
GM
You can only complete hands free activation on a stock rom. Since CM is stock Android, it doesn't retain any carrier or manufacturer apps and settings. Like you, I want LTE on roms like CM, but it looks like we'll have to wait.

Hi there, I have recently upgraded my Verizon note 4 to Lollipop and and I was so excited to get it. Now, battery life is not great, ram is bugging me, apps crash more, and multitasking window has an annoying glitch that randomly exits with no user input...
So, is it possible for me to downgrade to KitKat 4.4.4 on Verizon? If so, how? Will iamttst make my phone how it was when I got it at verizon like notification panel has all verizon specific toggles, apps, etc.? Thanks for any support.

Yes you can roll back. Yes it will be just like it was when you bought it at Verizon.

Thank you very much, I appreciate the fast feedback and support! :good:
Some people have had good results from a Factory Reset after the Lollipop OTA. Either way you'll have to set up everything again. Lollipop is nice when it's running right.
