[REQUEST][TW] Windows Phone 7 Battery? - Epic 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys. I was wondering if it was possible if anybody could get Windows Phone 7 battery icon up for download? I keep trying to pull battery images myself from other roms and mod them in to my WP7 theme project, but for some reason it never works for me. The battery icon either pops up with the ? icon, or doesn't show at all, and I don't know what to do. Is it possible that someone could help me out with this please? I'd love to share my custom FC09 WP7 theme to keep things fresh around here!
EDIT: Also, if anybody could help with this, could you get both with and WITH OUT batt %? I'd actually much rather batt icon WITH OUT the %, if at all.

PM me and i will try and help. Provide me with links of where to get the battery you want and a copy of the theme you are working on and i will see what i can do.

add windows bar on bottom the screen it will look cool
you should try to make fastest theme as it is possible - every theme here is to heavy and move so slow

Anyone have screenshots of this running?
..&& we dont even know what the theme looks like..
I dont want to be mean but....
i didnt flash this but looking at the lockscreen battery in the framework-res, i think you could of done a better a job on it. im sorry if im being blunt, im not here to hurt anyones feelings, but i just think it has some design flaws.
EDIT: for example this is what i mean.

AFTER SiR*Mez edit:
I love the edited battery... I am still new at this so I'm still learning. I was wondering how you did that. The only way I could edit pictures is print(windows). I don't have photoshop or anything like that. And plus I am having hard times flashing this on my g1 to test it out. Development is going super slow. Sorry guys I was wishing to have posted a new update yesterday but was having trouble time flashing. I can't flash my own theme(lol). I don't know why.

Maybe a couple screenshots would be helpful...
@Ted417
There's a Windows 7 theme already, it was made for RC30 (yeah.. old school lol) and original creator did not update it since. Look it up, you may be able to pull parts of it for your theme. I sported it for a while... good stuff.
Here the link

Battery icon with numbers, and 1% fix - tilt 2

I have looked around for a fix that will show the battery level in 1% increments....but nobody will confirm whether this works for the tilt 2 without causing problems. Should I just assume that if something works with WM6.1 it will work with 6.5?
Also, it is so stupid to not have a better battery icon...is there a way to replace it with one that actually shows a freaking number? I don't want anything fancy, and I don't want to install a pack that replaces ALL my icons. Anyone?
EDIT:
Just thought of this. Does anyone know how to change the colors on the top start bar, and bottom start bar in tf3d? I was thinking of wanting them both transparent, but that might make the stop icons hard to see....maybe just the bottom tranparent.....hell, I guess I could pick a dark background and make them both tranparent.
Anyway....anyone?
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-ariel-battery-monitor-v1-6-2.html maybe this would help? i've used it and it doesn't replace any icons. it stays at the top bar. you can move it to cover the battery area or just leave it by the start logo

Thanks a lot...I will check that out.
I think I would still prefer editing the built in icon...just seemed less "hacked" to me.

Not really in interested in flashing a whole new ROM just for this. The ROMS are nice, but none of them are 100% perfect....I don't want to deal with radio's....I don't want to deal with some of my keyboard buttons not working...I don't want to deal with getting some strange ATT registry setting back just so x or y program will run right.
The phone runs great now...just want a couple tweaks, not a full overhaul.
Quentin- has offered in this thread to make a modified battery.dll for various specific devices, but it seems he hasn't poked his head in that thread for about a month.

I'll keep track of that thread.
I figure others might be looking for the same stuff..so I'd like to update this thread as I find what I need.
Finally found a replacement battery icon that works on the tilt 2 here:

still looking for a way to get 1% increments on the stock ROM.

I probably went overboard....but if he would have read the posts he would have seen that we were discussing this in depth already. It would be like me walking into a white house press conference on the state of the economy and saying "hey...uhhh..maybe someone should try to fix it and stuff"
As for me ignoring the 2 suggestions.
1. I thanked the first guy but RESPECTFULLY mentioned that this was more of a work-around and not a fix. I also posted a fix to the first part of my problem in case he, or anyone else, was interested....not sure how that is supposed to show i ignored him.
2. The second suggestion was to a thread that the head guy didn't seem to updating anymore, which the poster stated up front as he gave me the link. I thanked him as well...and agreed that the thread did not have a solution for this issue...was never a **** to him.
Anyway.....I'm sorry, I shouldn't have reacted like that...I know he was only trying to help.
Back to the topic at hand. It appears the hold up on the 1% driver is that people are having an issue pulling the proper files from the tilt2's because of write protection or something......so looks like this is in limbo while people smarter than me attempt to help the rest of us.
Hi:
I installed the attached cab driver, and it seemed to work fine for me, with no side effects.
I found it with one of the Brian taskbars (gfreek edition), which by the way looked amazing, but the signal icon didn't get replaced with the new one.
Hope this helps

The fix you posted is for when the notification manager and the battery icon show values that are 1% away from each other. This thread is about a different issue, namely getting a 1% driver that works on the stock Tilt2 ROM. Thanks for the fix though; I think I have that problem also. I once saw my notification say 0% (when the battery driver was rejected) while the icon showed 1%.

[Q] simple beautiful theme please

hi guys, can anyone one of you pls post a simple yet attractive theme which conserves the least amount of battery & looks pretty good ???

That wont help him ..
If I was you Id flash the Lite'ning Rom (link below)
Great rom and it gives you the theme with the rom ..
From there you can flash any KE7 theme from the forums ..
There are usually instructions on how to do it ...
You need a deodexed rom to flash themes ..
Here's a few good starting points ...this will also give you root..

Some of us on XDA work together as a community...
The help and advice if there if he wants it ...if not then that's fine..
The point of your post is ? ...
I agree we where all newbies at one time, even i am just getting to grips with it.
All the help you need is on this forum, dont be afraid to ask.
Re:
Sorry didnt see that you have seen the post your desktop thread, but the answer to your questions are within that thread itself.
Most of the posters have mentioned the software they have used (Launchers, widgetlocker, icon packs, backgrounds) etc. I agree its a pain to navigate through the pages looking for this kind of info but hey its wortht the effort! I am a newbie to Android too and the post your desktop thread has taught me so much, most of the software listed there is free and on the Android market too.
Personally I am using Simi clock, battery and weather widgets along with the 'Beautiful widgets'. Try these for a start.

I was hoping I could change a theme, ie the look of the icons, the fonts etc without having to flash a ROM....I have flashed ROM's before but I always found the phone to become a bit unstable afterwards. (This was on the SE X1 so perhaps it was the crappy phone rather than the ROM!!)
I can't see anywhere how to change the global icons or the global font's and things.
I was hoping you could just install/uninstall a theme...but it doesn't look like you can do such a thing.
I have Widget Locker and Launcher Pro but none of those seem to allow a total global theme...
Will Go Launcher EX enable me to do all that?

Yea I would need help.. lol
I can see a battery I would like.. But not sure after I choose it what to do..
I do not have a rom and really, after a year of messing with them over and over on my EVO, I think this phone is almost perfect as it is right now..
I used T-backup to remove most of the bloat and battery life is AWESOME!! so I don't see a need for a rom right now..
How would I get the battery zip for just the stock phone using that UOT kitchen ? thanks

the hardest part imo:
you'll need to make a copy of your stock rom's twframework-res.apk, framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk..
both twframework-res.apk and framework-res.apk are located /system/framework and SystemUI.apk is locate \system\apps
I do this using root explorer but other root file managers will do the trick..
once you've got the three files saved to your computer go ahead and start creating your mods making sure to check each mod you wish to add to the stock rom.
once you've added\edited all the mods selected, click on the "file upload" tab.
choice the type-galaxy for the binary update then update your own files (all 3 for stock)..
click on the "summery" tab and submit
wait about 5-10 minutes and it will be ready!!!
Hope I helped..
ps... I know stock battery is great but if you feel the need to flash one rom out there... TDJ's Digital Warfare is amazing and nearly twice the battery... yup... twice

Thanks guys!!
I'm gonna make my own..
Question though..
Lets say I make a battery Icon now...
then in a week or two I want to add more mods to other things from that site..
When I reupload my framework and stuff, it will know that I have a modded battery already?
Or do I have to create it all from scratch each time?
Thanks

[REQ] simple (only numbers and %) battery mod?

Hi all,
My previous phone was the HTC Sensation, and I really loved LeeDroid Tweaks.
Too bad that they ain't available for the HOX...
Anyway, with those tweaks I had a really simple battery percentage. No battery image or what so ever, just the percentages.
That's what I'm looking for for my HOX.
a really simple battery percentage mod, only the numbers with the % symbol, all in white.
Does anybosy know if this is possible, and if so, where to find it?
I have searched a lot, I can't find it!
