Yea I would need help.. lol
I can see a battery I would like.. But not sure after I choose it what to do..
I do not have a rom and really, after a year of messing with them over and over on my EVO, I think this phone is almost perfect as it is right now..
I used T-backup to remove most of the bloat and battery life is AWESOME!! so I don't see a need for a rom right now..
How would I get the battery zip for just the stock phone using that UOT kitchen ? thanks

the hardest part imo:
you'll need to make a copy of your stock rom's twframework-res.apk, framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk..
both twframework-res.apk and framework-res.apk are located /system/framework and SystemUI.apk is locate \system\apps
I do this using root explorer but other root file managers will do the trick..
once you've got the three files saved to your computer go ahead and start creating your mods making sure to check each mod you wish to add to the stock rom.
once you've added\edited all the mods selected, click on the "file upload" tab.
choice the type-galaxy for the binary update then update your own files (all 3 for stock)..
click on the "summery" tab and submit
wait about 5-10 minutes and it will be ready!!!
Hope I helped..
ps... I know stock battery is great but if you feel the need to flash one rom out there... TDJ's Digital Warfare is amazing and nearly twice the battery... yup... twice

Make your own....
Thanks guys!!
I'm gonna make my own..
Question though..
Lets say I make a battery Icon now...
then in a week or two I want to add more mods to other things from that site..
When I reupload my framework and stuff, it will know that I have a modded battery already?
Or do I have to create it all from scratch each time?
Thanks

It will stay unless you do a wipe, then you will need to do it again.

Thanks for all the info.
I've been wondering for a while now why the battery icon doesn't have a percentage.. Now it can be fixed!

Hey, I just updated to a new 3.7 rom and my old trusty battery % zip mod doesn't work anymore.
The zip mod that worked flawlessly before is:
smooth-sense-Evo1.0.2_batteryOnly.zip
Does anyone have a new one that works w/the new 3.7 roms?
BTW, don't you think battery % should be standard in Android? Kinda sucks that we have to actually mod our phones to get such a basic feature.

Check this out. I use this all the time and love it. Just make sure you follow the instructions.
http://circle.glx.nl/
Edit: This is an online kitchen in which you can pick and make your own battery with percent plus do other things and it works with 3.70. I've already made a circle battery mod on here for my Evo and it works great!

Been looking all day, but I can't find the one I'm looking for. Found plenty of circle battery mods that will work with CM7 RC2, but I'm looking specifically for one that looks like the first pictures posted in this thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=724778
Anyone know of one that exists yet?
you can either make it yourself, wait for me or another developer to do it this weekend (your welcome ) or try shift_'s sculpted theme. it is pretty sweet. it is theme manager compatible so it doesnt need flahsing. jsut make sure to at least hot reboot after.
if you dont like it, i'll try to incorperate this mod into the frameworks this weekend. it'll be my first time going into the gingerbread framework, so i might see problems, but it hsould be fine.
Unfortunately I've yet to go in and figure out how to do things like this. If you're already planning on making one though, that's great. I can definitely wait patiently. You get many thanks from me.
Ok I can't get it done till saturday tough so it will have to wait. Then lets see if I'm allergic to gingerbread

edit: damn i hate problems.... i found the stock battery, but that goes down every 5 percent. i'm searching for the "batt percent" icons, but i found none. i have explored 8 apps and found nothing. time to keep looking....
HERE IT IS FOLKS
i have to admit, i couldnt figure the damn thing out, so i used the online kitchen and it worked very well. this is UNTESTED. it will only work with AMON-RA OR CWM 2.X. thanks again for waiting. this was built off of the framework-res.apk and systemUI.apk of nightly 26.
now i'm going on the irc to figure out how to do it myself

Please post instructions when you figure out how to self edit. The kitchens breaks themes when I use it for the battery mod, I get the mod but not with the theme I am using, aka Honeybread theme by Hax!

ok, in the kitchen, in the file upload part, the third option is to upload a cm7 theme. just shoot honeybread into that, select the theme you want to apply, and run the kitchen! easy.
i saw one available for 1.4 n it was a really nice green.
tried it on 1.5 (against all advice because i REALLY missed it) and ended up having to reflash. haven't and don't plan to try it on 1.6
please oh please let there be mod! me love you long time.

I just copied the drawable-hdpi from the battery mod framework-res with the new one. lol Easy as pie.

Got the Official Inc OTA 4.08.605.2 from WildStang, and I'm trying to install the 1% Battery Mod and the zoomyMod for my screen brightness, but they don't seem to be able to reside at the same time. I install one mod, and then when I install the other one, the first one goes away. Then I install for first one again, and the second one goes away.
I'm using CWR 5.0.2.0, and loading them one at a time, rebooting between each one.
Sorry for being such a newb, but been a while since I've done this (since my Eris early last year), but I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Both mods replace the same file, framework-res.apk. if you want to use both the easiest way would be to install the zoomy mod, and then use uot kitchen to apply a battery mod your self. Or find someone willing to merge the two mods together for you.
Ah, thanks! I'll give that a try. Didn't realize it was the same package.

I thought about it but i dont really have the time. I have 2 jobs 2 kids and a wife so that takes up alot of my time. Most of the time when im on here im at my second job where i jockey a computer screen for 8 hours. If i could get my job to let me set up a pc i would work on developing but i think they would frown on that lol. They would probably fire me if they knew how much time i already spend on my phone during my shift.

Yep be careful with that. Not worth losing a job over.
What I don't understand is that these miss were listed in wildstang's thread, but nobody brought this up. Just surprising. Maybe I should be surprised at what a newb I am...
Here's a workaround. Get zip themer from the market, and have it update it's edifyness. Then tell it to build a flashable using one if the mods. Flash the zip it creates in recovery. Do the same thing for the second mod. Zip themer is basically an upgraded metamorph; much improved.
Hi!
Just wanted to share this tiny mod that my "user" reggaetonero suggested. Get rid of thoose dots on screen (Screen/page indicator). The mod does only that and won't touch anything else.
Acutally gave a clean look, like it a lot. Don't need thoose dots, I know what screen I'm at anyway
just download and flash in recovery. Tested and working on XXELLC, but should work on LL4/5/and so on.
File in attachment or on my OP post #3. Now we have a screenshot in post #3 thanks to "D"
Adding one more, this one removes the carrier logo in notification dropdown.
The only thing, SystemUI that carrier-remove is built upon is a 23T modded version. So I can't gurante function on stock, if it fails I can make one for stock SystemUI.
EDIT: Added one that is built upon a stock SystemUI (no 23T in other words), so if systemui FC's , try the ST version insted. This only applies to carrier-remove of course.
:good: gotta try it out
Wow very nice, thanks +1

You lost me there. Does the touchwiz mod work, but not carrier?
What the touchwiz mod does is actually just graphic, it replaces stock "dot" with totally invisible one. So there is no code involved, so dedodex or odex shouldn't matter.. So i haven't got a real good answer on that.

That is really wiered..
The app involved are as you said, /system/app/SecLauncher2.apk , then inside that app, /res/drawable-xhdpi/ , 3 files, pageindicator.9.png and 2 others. That's all.. works for others, so it's nothing wrong with it. By why on eart won't your device realise it.. a wipe dalvik needed perhaps..
And thanks Not all mods are coding for hours and 400 FC's.. sometimes it's pretty easy (many times too easy to realise it), like this one, wasn't me who came up with the idea, it was a dude that uses my ROM who suggested it.
