Hi!
Just wanted to share this tiny mod that my "user" reggaetonero suggested. Get rid of thoose dots on screen (Screen/page indicator). The mod does only that and won't touch anything else.
Acutally gave a clean look, like it a lot. Don't need thoose dots, I know what screen I'm at anyway
just download and flash in recovery. Tested and working on XXELLC, but should work on LL4/5/and so on.
File in attachment or on my OP post #3. Now we have a screenshot in post #3 thanks to "D"
Adding one more, this one removes the carrier logo in notification dropdown.
The only thing, SystemUI that carrier-remove is built upon is a 23T modded version. So I can't gurante function on stock, if it fails I can make one for stock SystemUI.
EDIT: Added one that is built upon a stock SystemUI (no 23T in other words), so if systemui FC's , try the ST version insted. This only applies to carrier-remove of course.
:good: gotta try it out
Wow very nice, thanks +1

You lost me there. Does the touchwiz mod work, but not carrier?
What the touchwiz mod does is actually just graphic, it replaces stock "dot" with totally invisible one. So there is no code involved, so dedodex or odex shouldn't matter.. So i haven't got a real good answer on that.

That is really wiered..
The app involved are as you said, /system/app/SecLauncher2.apk , then inside that app, /res/drawable-xhdpi/ , 3 files, pageindicator.9.png and 2 others. That's all.. works for others, so it's nothing wrong with it. By why on eart won't your device realise it.. a wipe dalvik needed perhaps..
And thanks Not all mods are coding for hours and 400 FC's.. sometimes it's pretty easy (many times too easy to realise it), like this one, wasn't me who came up with the idea, it was a dude that uses my ROM who suggested it.

ye i was reluctant to release it, since its basically sense ginger from homersp(the differences are in the introduction), plus i had some issues with someone over at the glacier dev section. but now hes banned, so i decided to repost my ports over at xda again. this rom has been out for 2 days now.
Banned?
Why is Homersp banned? What is with this place, used to be the one stop shop for ROMs, but they keep banning people.

build-a-rom
This is not a daily driver. If you have never been on a TW JB deodexed stock ROM, then this is not for you. Flashing this ROM will boot up to the following stock, unmodified apps as packaged by Sprint: If it is not listed here then it is not included:
Phone, Contacts, Settings, Internet, Sprint Hotspot, Play Store.
Also included are ROM Toolbox Lite (jrummy), SuperSU (chainfire), and erikalin-stock app. This ROM flashes Agat63’s v1.3.0 kernel, and it has the boot animation from the S3, sound removed.
The pure Stock GB27 TW ROM zip is 507MB. Build-a-ROM is 242MB.
Why try out build-a-rom?
We have always been able to flash the nice custom ROMs on here, flash the mods we like which other people have figured out and packaged into flashable zip files for us, and just enjoy the phone. And you should keep doing that, and click the thanks button all over the place while you do it. Build-a-ROM is for you to give some of this a shot for yourself. There are exactly two stock apk files left in here that you can delete and still boot to a phone, and that is the browser and the play store.
What can I do with build-a-rom?
The work for build-a-rom comes in two categories:
(1) Easy: Installing custom mods and apps that are already available for you. This involves either flashing a prepackaged zip file, or pushing an app into the system/app/ folder, setting permissions to 0644 (RW-R--R--) and rebooting. You can go get whatever mods and apps and tweaks and kernels that you want. I’m not naming any of them because I didn’t include any of them. You know what they are. Go nuts. Make sure they are made for deodexed GB27 TW ROM for our device. There’s nothing in the way here. It’s a blank slate. If you don’t know how to do these things, use the site search. There are a zillion guides of people telling how to push an app into the system partition, set permissions, and reboot. And flashable zips are flashed in recovery. The recovery in build-a-rom is fine for flashing mods. Wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, flash one mod per session to be safe, reboot.
(2) Do the first part first. This is a little more advanced but still not difficult. Learn how to decompile and recompile apk files. There are easy-to-use & free programs that allow you to do so. I just typed: "how to decompile apk files” (without quotes) into xda search and got 92,400 results. The benefit of learning these basic tools is that you can then follow the guides on xda. You know all of those things we’re used to having automatically in a custom ROM? ... tabbed settings, extended power menu, transparent things, hacked things, colored things, pretty toggles… etc etc... you can make them, and a lot more, by hand on your own. There are guides. You don't have to beg someone else to make the mod you want for you. You don’t even have to figure it out. You literally copy-and-paste from the guides in which other people have figured out & explained exactly what to modify. No, it’s not “development” but it’s something to feel like an accomplishment you can be proud of.
Want transparent stock toggles? Want to rearrange them? Want to put your toggles down on the bottom of your pull-down and use the top space for notifications? Search XDA for the guides. These are quick mods... You'll be amazed at what you can do. You can build this up to 100% your dream ROM – starting from a blank slate so you can feel good about the end result.
Thanks @kobridge – for pure stock GB27 deodexed ROM as base: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=38923705#post38923705

This is a model for what I’m talking about with how clear and straightforward a guide can be: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2125196. This is the one modification I think I left in here for the version of build-a-rom that I am sharing.

Why say thanks?
Can you even guess at how many people have downloaded and used noobnl’s EL29 direct boot to CWM zip?? It's probably well over 10,000. There are 40 thanks on that post. Ridiculous. And tdunham’s JB Format All X 2 zip?? At the time of my typing this, there are 7454 downloads of that script, and 125 thanks. Also ridiculous. So many people give so many hours of their time making things for us to enjoy. Click the buttons, folks, please.

Disclaimer: The mods and apps and guides and tutorials on XDA are everywhere. Use the site search. I cannot possibly answer your questions on implementing any of those changes. Some of those guides have hundreds of posts of Q&A for just one certain modification. Read them. I assure you that whatever question or problem you have, it's addressed already on xda. Search and read. I’m giving you a stable blank slate called build-a-rom. It comes with nine apps and it works. You take it from here. I want to be clear upfront what I can and cannot support. I can support this ROM, which is build-a-rom and its nine apps. So, for example, if you have a question about how to make a phone call, ask. The building part is really up to you. Browse XDA. The amount of information is astounding... If you’re not sure what you’re doing, then don’t use build-a-rom. If I knew all the answers to all of your questions, I’d answer them. I don’t.

Just gonna say, this will make a great base for anyone wanting to (dare I say) build a ROM to release (always ask permission first). And with it only being 242 MB it leaves a little room to play.
@erikalin might wanna add a note in there that EL29 can't flash modems and to flash the JB modem after boot if not already on one.

Hi, bigmike6200,
What is it about transparent apps that attracts? All of team blackout stuff works on JD's ROM, so I'd imagine they'd work on this gem. Their paid app is worth the two bucks.
Beyon a few nuggets from the GS2 international version, I've tried to find what I can, and most seems attached to Omega and similar ROMS. Once taken out, they don't work in isolation. Even the older items created by current team blackout members are gone. I managed to get Speed Test and a few others, but now the links are dead. Would love stock SMS, calculator, etc.
Time for me to learn this process.
Congrats, Erika, and thanks for this and all you've done.

I'm not bigmike, but I have to say that I love transparent everything. I made almost 40 build-a-rom projects for myself, starting from essentially the version 1.0 I have shared here each time, and trying different things out. In some of them I made everything transparent, although I did learn that semi transparent is often what is necessary. Making the backs of the stock toggles themselves transparent too was fun. There's something pleasing about the transparency and, for me, neon green #ff00ff00. I colored all the stock system app icons with my neon green too, etc. :good: Anyway, micmars, you will learn and invert the stock system apps to share. Cheers, bud!
Thanks!

Sorry, bud, but I'm not sure whether you meant to ask a question or just make this statement? If you meant to ask a question, feel free to reply back. To take a guess at it: build-a-rom comes with nine apps, and gallery isn't one of them. You'd need that. Or if this is a metro pcs thing, I don't know anything about Metro PCS. If somebody can check this out for me. because I already wiped and packed up my E4GT:
Is the Sprint hotspot app in here crawrj's hacked hotspot or Sprint stock? I *had asked and received* permission to include crawrj's hacked hotspot but I had decided that I didn't want to include it in this base after all. But... did I forget to take it back out before uploaded? Lol... If someone can let me know that'd be great. I'll modify the OP pending a confirmation on this... Thanks X 3.

You might want to just go with another rom. That's not meant to sound unwelcoming, lol, not at all. But it's intentional that this ROM is empty. It's for folks who want to build it from a blank slate. Like I said I don't know how metropcs works so I have no idea what works for you. But stuff isn't in here for a reason. That's why I put in the OP that if you're new to JB TW this probably isn't the rom for you... This isn't a slim rom. It's an incomplete rom. You know?
Hi people, just wanna share with you that..
in e973 thread there's a new rom which seems to be very cool, called the Mokee rom. I asked the dev to make a version for our e975 and he said yes
He will update OP in next time, so if anyone's interested just look from time to time to the e973 development thread.
So i am looking forward to this and hope you guys too cuz every new rom for our phone is a big win.
Cheers.

Downloading thanks man, look like thinkbridge rom that is my favorite and complete of all roms I've tested
Looks nice, thanks for asking a new ROM for E975.
I'm tempted to try this one and see if BT is working... or maybe I will wait for 4.3 version
Tested and my impression are:
- Some Chineseok stuff to be deleted;
- Problem with BT calls, no new, common to a lot of custom rom's (I has able to do it 1 or 2 times, but in most of times don't work)
- A couple kernel crash after a soft reboot after using "Icon Themer"

Run Icon themer and used DCizonZ Icon pack
soft Reboot (and I do it everytime that the icon pack is updated)

Last time I tried I did exactly the same as you but I ended up in a bootloop. Maybe it was the icon pack..
The icon packs are in apk format?

Love this!
Hi together,
just want to say, I really LOVE this Mokee ROM so far.
I installed it on my e975 yesterday morning. And I did not see any bug so far.
Even BT incomming calls do work for me! Great.
Edit: I just saw that outgoing is the problem. Have not tested that. But this is not so important for me.
The best about changing over to an CM10.1 based rom is, that I finally got rid of this ugly
gray LG status bar. It looked so displaced with every kind of skin or setup.
I am happy!
THANKS A LOT, xtforevers an all the other devs - great work.
Frank
BT outgoing is working
Hello again,
I tried some outgoing calls with the handsfree in my car. Worked perfect. Really great rom.

Yesterday you tested with handsfree in your car too?
Can you confirm? I've written this in several threads, that apparently BT calls sometimes works (not only in MokeeROM ), but sadly not every time.
BT outgoing not reliable
Hello rimsilva,
you are absolutely right. It is working, but not always. If you don't hear something, you can switch to speakers an all is fine.
Not perfect, but I can live with that.
No matter, averall still a great rom.

So... how is it? Any bugs?

Only that Bluetooth thing, but that seems on all roms and untill cm doesn't fix it it will be there.
Apart from this MoKee is surely one of the best roms we have for our e975.
It's fast and imo the smoothest rom in terms of scrolling. From the look its like CM with some more functions and it has Halo and Pie.

- I do not pretend to port it to another devices
- I am not responsible for anything that can happen, the awares were given above
- If you want a different color in statusbar and you know the decompile stuff, change the value of notification_background_color in /res/values/drawables.xml to the value you want in hex. I didn't changed it to became exactly like s5's one because it does not looked nice in our device
- You can use THIS to have a nicer look

There does exist a thread where a guy has posted NOTE 3 water colour effect but.......ge hasn't taught how to port it. I know something has to be changed in framework but I have no idea ,what has to changed and where. That's why I asked you regarding that.

Im downloading the fix you said for s3, will try to figure it out what must be done, but expect not much as im no developer
Maybe the porter (@Arsaw) answer you more clearly
Edit: after a fast look, you need to mod framework-res.apk and android.policy.jar plus another Files pushed to media/audio/ui and a permission file in etc/permissions.
Contact the original dev to have more further assistence

Brother ..... lol.....u can't even imagine how many times did I ask not even him but also many others on how to port Water colour effect but none of them responded. Idk why the guides *HOW-TO* are getting more and more less on xda. People are not giving them any more attention.
Coming towards the files which are needed to mod. I know which files are to be modded but I don't know what has to be modded inside them. Like in framework idk after decompiling what I have to do.
Hope you got what I mean.

I imagined you've already tried to contact them.. And yes, i do understand what you mean. I have disassembled android.policy.jar using THIS. I think you need to disassemble your original one and place some files of the modded one, the files i think will do the trick are below (in disassembled android.policy.jar):
** in com\android\internal\policy\impl\keyguard\sec
all the "WaterColorRenderer" ones
inkeffect folder
all the "LensFlareView" ones for lens flare
** the one hand ones are suposed to be in com\android\internal\policy\impl\sec
Maybe that do the trick, you can try this, recompile (in that tutorial have this part too) and push it to your phone. If you don't get a bootloop, probably the thing left to mod is framework-res, but this one i don't know what to do - yet
Some things i still don't know:
- how do the options appear in the lockscreen effect options menu
- i think its not in framework-res, because yesterday i messed up with my rom, replaced framework-res with one that hasn't light effect but the option was still there. But when i selected it, got bootloop
I want to figure it out too, if you made a progress, please let me know

Brothet thanks for your support and concern. Well there is much more to place in android.policy.jar and in framework as well. This would take us ages to figure out what has to be done in order to get water colour effect. Only the developers can tell us.
brother I already contacted arsaw but couldn't get any response. Can you ask him maybe he may respond you.
Thanks once again.
Added universal version, intended to work on every i9305 4.3 roms. Please test and give feedback.
Here is a pair of screenshots of my i9305 running TGP 16.01 with your theme. It also has the S5 fonts, Note 3 keyboards, sounds, bootanimation, and themed sms app and S5 launcher. It works flawlessly!
If I could I would make a whole update package.

Hello & welcome to the way TW should look like . This is a dark theme (WIP) confirmed to be working on Dynamic Kat & Infamous rom. Please feel free to leave feedback & ideas & let's keep this thread nice like DK's thread is. It is also advised to make a full backup just in case something goes wrong.
Again, this is a WIP so, expect some things to not be perfect. There are some issues with some app text not showing due to white on white. You can also use blackout apps to make things better too. These guys are fantastic & have really done alot of great work. Go check them out http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2283828.
Here is the link to this theme to flash via recovery http://www.mediafire.com/?kiydg45tk8i5d3g. Enjoy everybody, I know I do .
If you're having problems or don't like it just dirty flash the rom you're on & all should be back to normal. Please enjoy!
Thanks for this..

This is a nice (wip) it makes chrome setting font white against white backgrounds and does also for a few other apps. Dialer is nice and i cant wait until it complete. A nice colorful theme to icons. Very nice work!

Yes, I tested it on darthstalker and the systemui.apk fc's unless you remove
the systemui.apk from the zip file.
The systemui.apk is what changes the color of the icons and background on
the notification panel.
Without the systemui.apk it works perfectly, but only themes the contacts,
dialer and settings screens.
I also tried this on jovy23's stock/deodex/rooted rom with the same results.
Good luck!
