So what exactly does this theme incluide? Or is it just those three modifications to the original android ROM, whichever one someone might be using?
add windows bar on bottom the screen it will look cool
you should try to make fastest theme as it is possible - every theme here is to heavy and move so slow

I am having trouble getting on a computer. So I do most of my picture finding on my phone and I edit on the computer at where I work(Saturday and Sunday). So it takes a while. That is why I created a beta version right now because I am still new at this and still having problems. If you guys could help find pictures or ideas(thx for the ealier post) I could move a bit faster. Thanks helping me out.

ooooh hands up for that one ted. cant wait!
Thanks, i like it, looks great!
Anyone have screenshots of this running?
..&& we dont even know what the theme looks like..
I dont want to be mean but....
i didnt flash this but looking at the lockscreen battery in the framework-res, i think you could of done a better a job on it. im sorry if im being blunt, im not here to hurt anyones feelings, but i just think it has some design flaws.
EDIT: for example this is what i mean.

AFTER SiR*Mez edit:
I love the edited battery... I am still new at this so I'm still learning. I was wondering how you did that. The only way I could edit pictures is print(windows). I don't have photoshop or anything like that. And plus I am having hard times flashing this on my g1 to test it out. Development is going super slow. Sorry guys I was wishing to have posted a new update yesterday but was having trouble time flashing. I can't flash my own theme(lol). I don't know why.

My computer= g1(lol)
Rom=CM 3.6.8

Maybe a couple screenshots would be helpful...
@Ted417
There's a Windows 7 theme already, it was made for RC30 (yeah.. old school lol) and original creator did not update it since. Look it up, you may be able to pull parts of it for your theme. I sported it for a while... good stuff.
Here the link
Good luck

did u have to do a wipe? because ive been trying to do it with the AERO myself but only managed to change framework, and HTC launcher..everything else put me in a loop, if i dont wipe or if i flash my data.img
this port is very basic. NOT like Gloss. Only includes the framework-res and Launcher.
No wipe needed.
hmm.. it just hangs on a screen saying HTC been there for the past 10 minutes :/
nitro or anyone else, not sure if its a valid solution, but moving your Alerts to SD, could work better for you?
If you've seen Prodigal Sun theme, there is a requirement to move the alerts to sd because of the size, I tried the theme before i did it and i was stuck in a loop until i flashed my previous theme back... but after i did the steps of the thread i was able to load it on RC33 and v.8 Cupcake (theDUDE)... its update was 12.4mb
so good luck if that works!
if not sorry i couldnt be of more help

I just downloaded from my own post, to ensure nothing went wrong in the upload. Updated to my phone with NO wipe and im posting from it now. Make sure you were running H build and not G, or the dudes build. This does not require making light.
remove lock screen and its not like the final version of aero theme
please create this theme with the new ADP 1.5H(haykuro) A2SD Rom..

Great job on making this port. However, is there anyway you can make it with white text for the notification bar? Thx

Any chance of a version without A2SD?
The other day I read that awesome Tut on how to create a Boot Animation by kusotare [link] because of this I started creating a few animations. While doing this I would test them out by flashing them, I did not like this so I created an applet that will basically animate them for you... Its pretty simple code, I am sure anyone on here could do it(and im sure some one has) but I figured I would share it with anyone who wanted it.
All you have to do is extract the .zip into a folder, and when you want to test your animations drop 'android-logo-mask.png' and 'android-logo-shine.png' into the folder. After you put them into the folder, open(double click) 'BootAnimationTest.htm'. This will open up your browser and show you the animation.
Requirements:
-This requires that you have the JRE installed
-'android-logo-mask.png' should be 256x480(Other sizes will work, but the app will resize them)
-'android-logo-shine.png' should be 512x480(Other sizes will work, but the app will resize them)
If you want, until I make it fix it automatically you can
find dimensions of android-logo-mask.png n put those values in BootAnimationTest.htm
Click to collapse
Future:
-In the future I plan to make it were it doesnt matter what size your images are.
-Turn this into a full fledged theme tester!
Feature Request: If you have an idea that you want me to add to this let me know, and most likely I will do so.
Just added a Video!
Change Log:
V 1.02:
-Added buttons that increase/decrease the speed of the shine

Awesome, I will have it where it does it automatically though, among other things... I also think I may turn it into a Jar and have it launch in its own window.
Edit - those red dots, are actualy my name... what happened is that you resized it, so it shrunk the applet.

Yea, thats why I made it, I got tired of having to flash over and over to test mine.
Thanks for the kudos on my tutorial. I had a tough time doing it my first time around, and after six or seven hundred of my friends with G1s asked me how i did it, I finally broke down and did the tutorial.
On the other hand, I absolutely love what you've done with the applet. That will certainly make it easier for people to come up with something they'll really like instead of having to tweak-and-flash as most of us have been doing for ages. Excellent work!

hey, the tutorial didnt take me much longer, so dont feel too bad. the longest damn part of it was writing the script for the video down so i could read it back into the mic!
by the way, i added a link to the first post here into the tutorial post. you really did hit a keystone here thats gonna help people. cheers!
How do you guys feel about the speed of the shine? I think I will add a button that will let you make it faster or slower
Helpful, fast and time saving tool...
This is really a great and helpful tool. Its a must have on the utility belt of all theme-er's.
Excellent work...
This is an awesome tool, it'll help me cut down on wearing out my NAND flashing theme updates over and over just to test the boot screen. Thanks a lot!
Edit: Just tried it out on one of my old non used boot animations I had, the 'animation' scroll should be faster in my opinion. I remember seeing it speeding by at least 2x the speed as the applet does it. BUT the buttons to increase/decrese speed would be ideal. Some people may prefer it slower, some fast.
Again great job on this, you saved a lot of trouble!

Is that possible? IF you're able to do that, you'll hear a lot of "I LOVE YOU"s from theme makers, especially me.
I understand it would be a 'rough draft' sort of thing considering the .9.png and such but really just to see everything 'together' before flashing it would be a welcome change than what we can do now.

Yea, I don't think it would be hard at all... It will just take me a while.
Edit - Ok, so I just posted the new build. This build just added the speed buttons. By the end of the week I hope to have a build that is a full theme tester up. I also think that later on down the road I will make this into a JFrame instead of an applet. Also, what is the deal with the .9.png?
Ok I have been messing with themes, and its coming together good. Its going to take me a while because I have school though.

.9.png are images that Android resizes to work in any situation. like the buttons. sometimes they are small sometimes they take up the whole screen. you have to sign them in eclipse for them to work right. check out this thread for a more detailed description of them and what it takes to get them working properly.
if you do make a theme tester I will have kids just so i can name them Burlyskink.
For theme and boot testing...did anybody see the news story about running an emulated Android os (complete with G1 skin) on a Windows PC?
It looks just like a brand new fresh stock G1 and it works. I wonder if that could test out themese and mods?

I understand that some of you will think it's so wrong I should be hung for doing this.
BUT.....There are some, like myself, that like Windows, and so this WIP is for them and I.
I have lots to do, but here are just a few screenshots of what's been done so far. If I get some good feedback on this I'll push harder to get this thing loaded.
I have most of the icons changed, market app icons and other apps not pre installed will not be changed. 1 thing is I don't have the I.E. icon cause I hate I.E. so firefox it is!
I am open to any suggestions.
I will try to get this 100% complete asap. (Didn't know it would be this hard lol!)

Nice job man.. i would give a try as soon u have it ready.

Awesome man, love it, can't wait ...
Few suggestions:
* WiFi symbol like the wireless connectivity icon on 7 (Not sure how best to demonstrate the bars of signal though, maybe the waves that come out of it?)
* Similarly, 3g/EDGE have the picture of two computers with the globe, lighting each one up for send/receive
* Muted and battery icons
Only suggestions, re-reading those, most would be a pain to implement I'm sure .
Love the dialer too
I like to look of this...
+1!
totally funny and cool!!
Please release ASAP xD
Hoping to have this available for release on Sunday night.

PLEASE Can You make some version without "Windows-like" Start panel? Just only transparent original image? I liko your theme, but "Start" panel is not my "cup of tea"
I wanna start off by thanking Jf, haykuro, The whole community and mostly Cy for pushin the limits and still not givin up when all looks dead, Stericson for all the great tutorials and work he's done, Manup and all the great themers for the inspiration to learn how to theme im still not great but im working on it. Ok now that the mushy stuff is out the way this theme is for CM 4.0.4 Stable and Cm 4.1.11.1 experimental ONLY!! ill update as i can if u don't like it don't use it no one is forcing u to download this Im not a dev i just do this in my spare time for fun i figured i would share. If you don't like the mini me hero clock then u can use the great app by crotalusfreak in the market se hero clocks im sure u all know about it but for anyone that doesn't its a great app. Updated to cm 4.1.11.1 its not exactly the same but as close as i can get for now. I forgot to thank ohsaka for color change.jar its amazing and thanks to david1171 for supplying me with the experimental template.
Updated 10/7/2009 with stericsons lockscreen a couple fixes and blur animations for 4.1.11.1 ONLY!! will update to 4.1.999 tom when i get a chance. i know its a lil late but my computer crashed and i lost all my original files and image editing stuff better late then never tho. This update is not a full theme and MUST!! be flashed on top of the original 4.1.11.1 theme for now will be full theme next update.
Updated 10/11/2009 4.1.999, few fixes, stericsons lock screen working on version without should be up shortly, Advanced launcher, Blur Animations, works for 4.1.999. Thanks to moonspoon for his clock minute hand from gchrome and to drizzy for the blur animations.

This looks really good? So is it set in stone bluedroid because IMO bluedevil would seem like such a better name Looking good though can't wait to see when its finished
Wow...nice I like the effect on pull down and pull up bars. Even though some try to stay away from that.
thanx for the feedback
Awesome! Are you planning on porting it for Cyanogen's last experimental build? I love the theme.
Thanx, ya i def want to port it i didn't have a chance to grab the template for the experimental tho ibefore it was taken down if anyone has a copy they could send i would appreciate it.

were you able to figure out the widgets for 4.1.11.1
ya i had to redo em from scratch thats why its a little diff except the new search widget i just changed the search floater.png until i can figure the rest out its a pita
it seems like they just changed all the widgets to one .9 now aint it?
yeah i noticed that and actually think it is a good move on their part since it can be annoying when something works one layout and fails on another layout.
ya i def agree much better except the search widget u can't really do much with it except solid colors

yeah i think the global search widget just looks ugly.
ya def they shoulda went with the same layout as the rest of em. have u figured out how to change the progress loading circle it seems like they changed the xmls that u edit on 4.0.4 i changed all the spinner pngs but it only changed the small loading circles the rest stayed the same
i haven't tried to mess with them , but if/when i mess with them i will let you know my findings. try asking in the progress bars/circles thread maybe someone in there has figured it out.
ight cool thanx

The 4.1.11.1 version. Tried again today. No dice. It hangs on the G1 screen for at least 10 mins or more. Admittedly I have a gazillion apps, and I'm used to giving themes time to do their thing but something just doesn't seem right here.
Ok guys,
Im going to post this in every Note 2 variant forum until I can figure this out.. I mmanaged to get a working transparent status/systembar on my note 2 on tablet UI.. the only problem being that my phone totally locked up and being the DUMB a$$ that I am I did create a backup.. reflashed a rom and thought I could recreate it.. I have located what I think the files name is and it is tw_status_bar_background.9.png. Now when I try to recreate it the status bar becomes all distored when pressing something.. I will show you pictures below of it working and it NOT working.. Any help or guidance would be much appreciated.. I am not asking anyone to give me a step by step but more of just yes thats the right file or no thats not it..
PS the black line you see at the bottom of first pic is bc the wallpaper is not scaled properly, which can be fixed..

well, i have started to mod my phone with tablet ui for more than a year but still yet to release anything athough i am using it on daily basis from note -> s3 -> note2 now. however, since the updates were rolled out quite frequently in the last year, i had to switch to new firmwares and redo/rewrite the changes accordingly because there were quite a lot of fundamental changes recently. this process is time consuming especially i employed some parts of firmwares from other devices as well as the custom features i added. so, i am not sure when i can release something since i modded the kernel and the rom as well in my own way which compromises the usual practice in terms of structure and so forth. that means i have to make sure it is compatible with other roms first, and then i must ensure i have time to solve and fix users problems
