Paranoid android 2.0 boot animation. - Nexus 7 Themes and Apps

Hey guys I just updated to the latest PA2.1 for my Nexus, I really loved the boot animation and was sad to see it leave when I updated my trinity kernel, anyone have just the ParanoidAndroid boot animation for a nexus 7 ready to flash.
Thanks,

This belongs in the PA thread, don't make a new one

Pull it from the ROM u downloaded, it is in system/media. Paste back into our tablet.

I've just pulled this from the PA 2.1 rom. It's not flashable, but you can use a file explorer to copy it into /system/media. Solid Explorer is free and will do the job.

Mod not staying after flashing more than one

Hey guys.
My wife and I are both running Android Revolution HD. I flashed the circles mod and the soft key mod on my phone with no problems. I tried on my wife's nexus and I can get one or the other but not both. Whichever one I flash last stays. I'm still a noob so this might be something simple but I can't figure it out. Thanks guys.

what the flashes do is replace the system.UI file, and both the battery and soft key images are in there, so your overwriting the first one with the second

lolololol
I bet this gets a thread on pretty much every single device forum, codeworkx over at I9100 forum basically said that this doesn't speed up the boot process. It is nice to look at but I can't see the obsession that people have with boot logo's, you probably see it like once every week when you reboot and that's it.

I just don't like the cm9 bootanimation. Too much eye candy for my taste. I seen it on gerrit when i was pickin cherries this morning. I liked it and figured I would share.

I replaced my boot animation.zip in system/media and the boot animation just shows a silver android title? What am I missing?

I did - and I still have the same problem as the other guy - running jellybro.
Edit - downloaded from the 1st link on the bid, rapid share.

Make sure the name is bootanimation.zip and use the one out of the vertical/800 folder.

Ah good, got rid of CID.
Didn't like him
I must have used the wrong one because now no animation shows and upon bootup I can see about 1/4 of my screen. the rest is black. I used the vertical 720 one. Supposed to be 800?
Time to reflash...
The link to my drop box has the proper one (vertical 800). I got it from gerrit this morning and i am using it now and it works fine.

Thanks buddy, the bootanimation works just fine, moved the file with rootexplorer to the system/media. So long CID lol
I LOVED their cm9 one, so badass.

Only problem I've found so far is gallery FC's when you try to edit a picture. Good stuff, can't wait till cm adds all their tweaks to the camera app
BTW I typed this with my jb 4.2 "gesture type" keyboard

Man I'm gonna be bummed if Photosphere doesn't make it to the Gnex, hopefully it's just some missing libs.

More than likely. This is again, not the version of the camera shown off in the Google video of the N4 and N10, so I'm guessing its like the keyboard AC had and an older version.
BTW, editing force closes as well. But the UI is more than enough of an improvement to put up with that until source is posted.

FYI, you may also want to rename other gallery apks on the system/app folder. You might have gallery2.apk or gallery4.apk. It didn't work for me until I did that and reboot.
Oh and yes, do not run the apk, just moving it to the correct folder and setting the right permissions will do it. :good:
ok i downloaded the file, copied file, tried pasting in system/app but it failed.....any ideas? sorry it's been a while since I messed with my phone. :crying:
Edit: ok i did not have permission set to rewrite, sorry.

I renamed my old one and left it there in \system\media so that I can always revert back.
Whichever one is named "bootanimation.zip" is the one the system will use on boot.

Honestly, I invested way too much time into customizing PA 2.54 (the last 4.1 Rom by PA) just how I want it and I haven't found a reason to change it. I just don't have the time anymore unfortunately to keep up with all the amazing and rapid development that xda chefs keep putting out
I did really miss photosphere though so I just wanted that.

Yeah it's not just the paprefs, it's everything else too. Just don't have the time to experiment too much anymore sadly. I'm happy with it till the new Nexus comes along
Nothin wrong with 4.2.1 IMO. I've actually thought about goin back because with it my Gnex got about twice the battery life than I'm getting with 4.2.2. I've tried almost every Rom and kernel too. Used to get about 7hrs screen time with my 3800mAh, now I get about 4 ever since 4.2.2. But I do like alot of the improvements tho so idk...Jus my opinion.
