I've been in love with HTC sence when i had my desire phone. Today I saw the One X and I thought of buying it.
However, I'm not sure if it's going to be easy for me. For example, i disabled here the browser because I use chrome. In general, I use most of Google services. Would it be the same there? And how was the experience of those moved from Galaxy Nexus to One X (or Nexus to Sense)? For years, I thought I won't ever like to try something other than the Nexus pure Android...

maybe hes going from GN to one x?
I got a One X today for my upgrade from Rogers and I planned on selling it right away on eBay. Turns out my Nexus is on eBay now instead. The Nexus has three things that are better:
-OLED screen has better blacks
-Stock ICS with faster updates
-Removable battery
The One X is better in every other respect. Build quality, display crispness/color, speed, responsiveness, camera, and LTE since I had a GSM Nexus. I do prefer stock Android, but Sense 4.0 is pretty good and adds some useful features. Besides, CM9 is only so far away.
Mm the phones came out almost 1 month before the other one in sprint so is not really an upgrade... I had both evos and I missed stable cm7 so I'm keeping my galaxy nexus I still got my 4S if anything I'll trade it for the one lol

uh oh another reason why to go nexus only
I wasn't able to watch the Google I/O yesterday so I decided to search the internet but couldn't find my answer.
Will we see 5 Nexus devices announced this October like the rumor suggested or is it unlikely?

What?
You mean like a new nexus phone?
Yes sir.
Rumors running around the internet are that google will release 5 Nexus devices each from different manufacturers.
For example, one from Samsung, another from HTC, etc.
I want to know if google said anything about this during the Google I/O yesterday.

Not sure if they said something about 5 new phones, but they said, they are trying to fix the android version fragmentation problem.
Nope, wasn't mentioned. We'll most likely hear about it later in the year
Alright, thanks

I was hoping for an announcement too. Also when the price of the Galaxy Nexus was brought down to 350$ I was expecting something.
My old N1 is dying on me! Need a new Nexus phone!
The rumor was up to 5 Nexus "Devices", not necessarily phones.
They already have the Nexus 7 and Nexus Q, and if you include the Galaxy Nexus, that's 3 Nexus "Devices" that they are selling through the Play Store.

Good point! Wait for 2 more devices! Hoping for a phone! or even a Nexus 10!
Personally I hope they stick with the 1/year strategy. Makes them feel more special. Having multiple Nexuses (Nexii?) makes it seem like they're gonna go the Galaxy route and literally slap the Nexus name on anything that connects to facebook
Unlimited nexus
How about nexus certified. You get stock rom alternative for these devices and faster update?

Most probably they'll go the Apple route. A tablet and a phone alternating every 6 months, with one major version upgrade a year.
So we'll probably get a new Nexus phone on 4.2+ Jellybean this late fall/winter and one or two other Nexus devices
Hi all.
I'm a HTC Desire HD user.
I'm thinking about buying a Nexus. I would like to have some user opinion about Nexus.
What are his strong points, his weak points ?
Thanks

Thanks dude !
hey...i had Desire HD and now Gnex...
it's undoubtedly better that desire hd...
buy one Gnex
People seem regard switching from the Galaxy S2 to Gnex as a solid upgrade. I would consider Gnex miles ahead of Desire HD.

The Galaxy Nexus offers the best smartphone experience I've had yet. I've been using smartphones since 2008, and owned an HTC EVO 4g LTE for about 2 months. I'm using the Paranoid Android rom, and tablet mode is one of the most innovative things I've seen on a smartphone. It's almost exactly what I expect out of a phone. You can't go wrong. However, I would definitely buy a GSM Gnex -- I found one on craigslist for $275.
You can buy service through t-mobile pre-paid for $30 a month. 100 minutes goes a long way for me because I use a SIP phone application and have a PBX server at my house. Google Voice helps out quite a bit too. Calling over 3g/HSDPA is fair, but manageable. I've been using CDMA based devices, and carriers for about 10 years and I don't know why I didn't switch years ago. Anyway, I hope this helps.
As this being the "general" forum of latest HTC's android flag ship, I'm asking here.
After HTC released only WP8 devices on the 19/9/2012, I heard they will have another release on 26/9/2012. I'm really waiting for their phablet because the Note 2 is very expensive and the GPU is old..
Thanks
Football often knows these things ahead of most people, subscribe to his twitter feed (football4pda or something) and you'll likely find out before htc release to the general public

The next HTC device could arrive quicker & more of a powerhouse than you think.....
----
Speculation is mounting that the next Google Nexus 5 will in fact be the HTC One X 5. GSMArena.com has received a tip saying the 5-inch display-sporting Android handset will be made by HTC, and has even been passed on some specs.
According to the tip-off, the Nexus 5 will house a Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU, a 12-megapixel camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing snapper and a whopping 64GB of internal memory storage. It will also use a 2,500 mAh battery and will offer LTE connectivity.
However, what really stands out is the claim that the display will be 1080p – a huge task for a screen size of 5-inches.
Of course, it being a Nexus-branded device, we can expect the phone to run on the latest version of Android, with GSMArena citing the Jelly Bean 4.1.2 operating system, providing bug fixes and Project Butter for a smoother user experience.
Pocket-lint has been told that the HTC One X 5 is real (also known as the HTC Droid Incredible X), despite the handset having yet to emerge from its hiding place. When it does finally appear could it be in the shape of the Google Nexus 5?

If true, I'm getting it.

Now if that is the case I'm sure this could be a huge success for HTC! We all know the device is real and out there but the question is what will it be a nexus or a HTC Sense device?

I personally prefer HTC Sense over AOSP but let us S-OFF our device

THIS IS MY LOVEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (of phones )
Paul O'Brien over at Modaco has already stated the 5 device from HTC is in actual fact a Verizon One device
@PaulOBrien: I'm confused by 'claims' the HTC 5" device is a Nexus. It's a 'One' for Verizon AFAIK...

hey,
just got my Nexus from Amazon today. Also have a One S floating around (my main Phone). Wich phone should I choose?
One S sometimes has graphic errors (due to CM 10 I think) Nexus works great and fast (for me even faster in things like Navigation like One S) but has sh**ty camera and much lower benchmarks Nexus also has NFC while One S has better CPU and Camera but Nexus feels way faster then One S
What do you think I should choose?
Thanks
Benchmarks should never be the reason you choose a phone. So based on everything else you said, the only negative the nexus has over the one s is the camera. The processor doesn't really matter because the nexus is so damn fast anyways.

How's AOSP on the One S?
That'll answer your question.

I also got both phones. I like both of them and have hard time to choose one over the other. The thing I like about Nexus is the larger screen and of course JB. NFC, I do not use that much so I do not care that much but maybe in the future it will be something of a factor.
As for One S, I love the battery life (compare to Nexus it's much better), the processor is great on One S and of course camera. I wish One s screen can be a tad larger but overall,I love One S design.
Overall, I think if I am carry a phone around the whole day, I would probably choose One S due to longer battery life, performance, and its compactness. If I am using for features, then Nexus is probably what I will choose.

fast but slower on some things like Navigation and starting some programs and it has graphic issues (dont know why) and much faster in benchmarks of course! when comparing apps like Google mail its the same speed as Nexus. Angry birds just 1 sec faster or half a sec. Any other app recommendations?
