[Q] Applying RUU update to stock phone

Currently using the Dinc with stock. Unfortunately, I can not root because of business.
I'm having a problem installing the RUU. I connect the Dinc to my computer (W7 64bit) and run the RUU. (I have HTC Sync installed).
When I run the RUU, it will see the phone and it will begin updating. At the point where it restarts the bootloader, the screen on my Dinc will turn black and restart and then appear with HTC.
At this point it will hang and the computer attempts a driver search causing the error 171 - Not able to connect with USB cable.
Can anyone provide any assistance with this? Greatly appreciated!
Sorry if this is confusing but i couldn't find the thread on XDA on the alternate method.

Step 6 is the end for installing just the update and no root.

this happened to me. windows 7x64 did not like the driver switching mid process from android to bootloader, so basically here is what i did.
leave the phone connected (it should have black screen with htc logo). once u get the 171, exit the RUU (if u havent restarted the pc ever, now is a good time - if u restart pc, disconnect phone, battery pop it to get it to boot)
now run the RUU, again u will get the 171 and the phone will be black with htc on it. just exit the RUU and re run the RUU, this time it will run the full process.

[Q] I can not take ROM out of the RUU

[Q] No USB Connection

My HTC One M7 Verizon, (which is rooted, S-OFF, and running NuSenseSix) will not show up in Windows in any way. I've tried two different computers and two different (official HTC) cables. The phone will charge when connected to the computer or to the AC adapter. I've tried unninstalling all USB drivers including HTC, rebooting, and reinstalling the HTC one drivers. ADB and Fastboot do not recognize the device either. I've tried factory resets on the phone and cleaning the USB connector out with rubbing alcohol. I'm in desperate need of help because I'm scheduled to return my phone to HTC to have it repaired because of the purple camera issue and a dying battery. I'm afraid they won't repair it with S-OFF, root access, and custom ROM installed. Is there anyway to turn S-ON, remove root, and return to the stock ROM without using a computer? Or, does anyone know how to get my USB working again? Any help would be appreciated and thanks for looking at this.

[Q] Return to factory locked S on

Hey guys thanks for reading and hopefully we can get this problem solved. The problem is that my pc won't reconize my phone when I boot into hboot. I've been trying to return to stock since I'm returning the phone for a replacement but I cant because it doesn't show up.
I've tried
Different cables
restarting phone and pc
uninstalling and reinstalling
Different platform tools
Another thing is that when the phone is on and connected it shows up when I type adb devices but in the hboot screen i doesnt if you guys can help that would be great, Thanks

It's probably a driver problem. Download HTC Sync. Run it to install the drivers. Then uninstall HTC Sync. It doesn't play nice with ADB/fastboot.
