Phone can't be detected by PC - HTC One X

My phone can't be detected by PC and the when I plug in , it just charges normally but can't be detected ... No connected to PC in notification bar . Tried turning USB debugging both on and off . And the connected to PC in settings , tried both charge only and disk drive with ask me checked , still no luck .Tried plugging into different USB ports . Tried uninstalling HTC driver from device manager at PC but when reinstalling , failed to reinstall don't know why ... And after a few searches at google , I am quite dumb enough to uninstall the HTC Sync app in my phone ... Now I have no HTC Sync in my phone , unable to connect to PC and am screwed ... Any help will be much appreciated .
Edit : Solved the problem . Flashed ARHD EB-1 by mike1987 and the problem was solved unexpectedly and magically ...

Try a different cable.
Switch on a data connection and restore sync, by browsing to play.google.com on your computer and hitting install.
Umm... Uninstall and reinstall the drivers.

I couldn't connect to computer ... How would you expect me to browse to play.google.com and hit install ?? O.O Thanks for replying though ...

tried with another cable or another computer? you should, but anyway try to clean register on your pc,

If, using any kind of web browser, you go to https://play.google.com/store you can remote install apks when logged into the same google account as the phone. Well, turns out "HTC Sync" isn't in the store. In fact, I have no idea what you uninstalled.

Mines done that a couple of times, a reboot sorts it.

If you have rooted your phone and cwm recovery is installed you can access your phone. Boot into recovery and click on the mount button. Then click mount the sd card and it should pop up on your computer

I know that ... Just that I have to boot into recovery everytime I want to do something ? Let's say I don't want to just mount the SD card , I want to internet tether ... Then it's unavailable then right ??

Which mode you selected? Is it charge only or storage option. If it is storage option, try using another card and then connecting to comp to check whether its a problem with SD card

It Reboots as soon as i connect it.
No time to select Charge Only or Storage
If your phone do not have any other problems when not connected to PC, this may probably be an issue with the drivers. Try the following.
1. Backup your comp.
2. Remove all external connections except power from your PC
3. uninstall all drivers and software related to HTC.
3. Restart PC and give a few minutes
4. Connect the phone
5. Check whether all drivers are getting automatically installed (it should)
OR alternatively try connecting the phone to another PC (should not have any preintalled HTC drivers)
Hope that helps.

Hi guys,
I am sorry but I have run out of ideas here. Some senior members please pitch in and help these guys.. I would also advice a hard reset (after backing up everything) but its left to you. Do wait for some guidance from our senior members. May be it has a simple solution :fingers-crossed:
try using the USB cable that came with your phone.....(the one you got plugged into the charger)

have you ever tried to format sdcard while your phone is connected to laptop?
if you have another pc/laptop you can use it.
you need computer to unlock bootloader then i dont think you need it much.so if your computer not working you can use any other computer because its one time method.
and also i have same problem as you had.so i found one software on internet (i couldnt remember it now) that can remove drivers from your com.so you can manually remove drivers and reinstall them so that ll might work.
(for me i have to format my laptop then atlast my phone recognised by it)
Thanks for your help...

which ruu you chose?
is there custom recovery installed on your phone?
see ruu works like mentioned:
you can chose any ruu,if you make goldcard and also set bootloader to locked state and then supervision with bl-tool.
and you wanted to root your phone so why ruu?

Why do you quote my post?? If you want to help the person who facing problem, do advz to him directly. So you must explain to me aboved mention your word.
Try re-installing HTC Drivers.
If it is getting detected on other PCs, then I'm sure It's because of the drivers

USB Problem

I have formatted my desktop computer few days back and since then I cant connect my One X to my PC
I have searched all the thread but cant find a solution to my problem therefor I am creating this new thread..
Here are the points
1) Installed latest HTC drivers
2) My other phone gets connected without any problem that means only my one x is having the problem
3) I am using kitkat aosp rom maybe thats why my computer cant detect the phone
4) When I connect my phone to computer, it starts to install the drivers. All drivers get installed successfully except "Android Phone" and device manager shows Android Phone with a yellow exclamation mark.
5) adb commands dont show any device connected.
6) I tried to enable and disable usb debugging
7) I tried to boot into bootloader and then fastboot commands work (I tried erase cache and devices commands)
8) So is there any way I can use adb commands from my computer while my phone is booted ?
try this
1)disable debug mode then connect your phone and mount sd card
2)if above step doesnt work, enable debug mode, connect your phone, mount sd card then disable debug mode.
or
3)mount sd card from recovery
or
4)use sense rom
since I flashed kitkat rom, i have to disable usb debugging before clicking 'turn on usb storage'. Only then my pc will detect my phone

Actually USB mass storage works without any problem. I disable usb debugging and usb mass storage works.. I am not having any problem with that. My problem is that I cant use adb commands on my phone since adb cant detect my phone...

[Q] PC doesn't recognize M8

Hi,
I've already searched but couldn't find a topic with the same problem.
When I connect my m8 to my PC (Windows 8.1) he cannot find it.
I thought I had to install the drivers, so I went to Device Manager if there was any exclamation mark, but there wasn't one.
So now I don't know what to do, I hope someone can help me.
Because I want to upgrade my phone, but I have to upgrade my firmware first.
Thanks
Did you try installing HTC Sync?
Yes I've also did that, but without success

Try to uninstall HTC Sync and HTC drivers. Than connect the phone, do not select the option to automatically install Sync. Go to Device Manager, find the device. Select the option to manually select drivers. Than pick Generic MTP Android Device (or something similar).

Well then it's a problem with your USB cable and/or port on the PC. Try a different port, try a different cable.
Well i tried a different cable and on a Windows 7 without success.
So now i realy dont know what to do
If tried an factory reset and flashed the lastest InsertCoin.
But it didn't worked, I guess I have to go back to my old rom.
Still nothing, anyone an idea?
Ive tried using robomodo, but no success

It seems like you tried everything. Another PC may be your only option at this point.
Did you disable the USB 3.0 drivers (if applicable)? I didn't see you respond either way on that particular suggestion.
