No matter what rom I'm on it keeps freezing up and not responding, giving me the option to force close it. Is it just chrome? Or is it the exynos chipset the gs2 uses?

I had the same issue on any touchwiz ROM, once I switched over to CM9 it all went away. Not sure why though.
Its been doing this for months. Somewhat disappointed that google cant get their own browser working right. Dolphin browser is a pretty good alternative if you dont like stock.
Chrome for phones sucks. For computer, is great but it is pretty damn annoying Google has a better version of Chrome out for the iPhone than it does for its Android devices!
On my i777 (yes, different phone) it crashed constantly and I'm running AOKP.

Chrome works well for me to the point that its my primary browser... its only force closed like once or twice on me in the last month, but I'm the type to have 20+ tabs open so that probably explains it... I've also found it to be pretty snappy ever since it came out of beta (it did suck when it was beta...). I'm on aosp jb if that makes a difference

Chrome works well on my nexus 7, on my G2 it sucks balls. Never gonna know what problem ill have. Recently i was downloading some wallpapers and i downloaded maybe 10, showed that it downloaded the full size of them and when i went to set some they were all corrupt. I have the newest radio for my device and had 4g. Other times i pull up a page and it just hangs there forever on wifi and i just sit there like -_-

Chrome is awesome when it works, but crashes a lot.
It has to do with the kernel. Most TW roms have kernel modifications and this affects Chrome, causing FC's, freezing, and other problems.

Chrome works great on proper ics devices, like the Nexus 7, SG 3, it's great on ics tablets, any new ics devices not bootleg gingerbread to ics devices like the Epic.
The Epic touch was the top of the line gingerbread phone from Samsung and it will be known as that, not as an ics wannabe. I love my Epic and would not trade it for another phone. When I want to Chrome I grab my Galaxy Tab2 and Chrome away, works flawlessly.
Pp.
Ps. May trade for SG3.

Again, I'm sorry, but you are a crazy person. Your "this is a gingerbread device" shtick is factually incorrect. What is the hd2? A winmo device ONLY??? The original evo? The hardware in this phone is perfectly capable of running ICS, in fact its still probably in the to 25% of all android phones. I'm sorry that you've not enjoyed your experience with ICS but your supposition that its meant only for gingerbread is silly and shows a fundamental misunderstanding of how android and android devices function.

The first devices (besides the Nexus S, which you can already get from Koush’s section on ROM Manager) that we’ll have ready will mostly likely be devices based on OMAP4, MSM8660/7X30, and Exynos

I have to agree. I am new to the E4GT but not to modding. I came from the USCC Mesmerize and it had CM7 and a pretty much fully functional ICS ROM. I was so used to AOSP that the thought of Touchwiz made me shiver. I do have to say that the Dev's for this phone have done some amazing things with Touchwiz though. Running Calkulins ROM and am truly amazed at how smooth it is. I would love to see an AOSP selection for this phone. If its anything like the Mesmerize then CM7 would be the logical choice to get working as it would provide the Dev's and solid MTD base to do ICS or CM9 off of. any way just my thoughts on the subject. I am very pleased with the Modding community for this phone. Looks like you all have some extremely talented Dev's. I look forward to what they release in the future.

Does Google Chrome run OK for you guys on ICS? I know that it is in Beta status, but I hear lots of reviews about how great it is.
It runs horribly for me. I can't go 30 seconds without it locking up. It will then give me the option to wait or close. Sometimes it will blur while trying to Thing is, it's not working for me on all different E4GT Roms I have tried (CM9, Calk's, Goodness). I have AOKP on my Galaxy Tab 10.1, and it's terrible on there too...same thing, slow, freezing, bad scrolling.

That would require flash to be their number 1 product, which it is not, and considering it their one horse show would be a huge exaggeration as well... And especially not flash on mobile(since apple chose not to support it, most mobile sites already worked around it).
This is just like when they switched over the basic TV signal from Analog to Digital and my old handheld TV stopped working. So if Flash is Analog and HTML5 is Digital and considering almost no sites have Desktop HTML5 support its like not getting a signal once we lose Flash.

That is a horrible analogy... It would be more like the cable company not changing the signal to digital while samsung sold you a tv only capable of handling the new digital signal.
