Clone htc one x - italy - HTC One X

Hi everyone, I have a HTC phone ONE X in my opinion cloned mounts ICE 4, verified by tapping the voice on the phone settings-info-version Android.
The phone has a recovery Spartan lacks many features (android system recovery 3e) I can not send Bootloader does not exist in the voice settings to remove the V-power under fastboot, so I can not unlock the bootloader and to recognize the phone in fastboot
pressing the power + vol-goes factroy mode with the following menu:
full test, test items, test reports, clear eMMC, version, reboot.
When you enter Version gives me these items:
BB Chip: MT6575
MS Board: g26
IMEI: ********** (do not put it on purpose)
Modem version MAUI.11AMD.W11.50.SP.v21. 2012/06/08 20:14
bar code: a number of 9cifre_6cifre
10th
I jump= Buil time
UBoot ver: 2010.06
Kernel: 3.0.13-g537b6b9 (htc-kernel @ and18-2) (gcc version 4.4.3 (GCC)) # 1 PREEMPT world jou 16 2012 9:45:28 CT
Android ver. : 4.1.5 (just says 4.1.5)
SW ver. : Alps.ics.mp.v2.7
Custom build winter. : 1342403151
IF I press the buttons powre + vol + enter into recovery:
Android system recovery <3rd>
Android system recovery utility
reboot system now
apply update from sdcard
apply update from cache
wipe data / factory reset
wipe cache partition
backup user data
restore user data
I wrote everything I have in my possession so far.:crying:
the phone comes from a Italian dealer who claims to assemble the pieces and original htc put on the market, I asked the specifications but does not give me any useful information.
The phone I was able to re-roottarlo with "Unlock Root" superuser installed juice defender + + rom manager (but it asks me for a version 2.X or 3.X manually installed to work correctly) selecting boot from the recovery above that described, if I make a backup always sends me there.
I tried to describe my situation as best as possible, I would like to see what I can do with this phone, if you htc and you can really montargli a romcook, how to unlock it for flashargli the rom, how to enter the bootloader, in short, what you may not know .....
Thank you in advance the pious soul who is interested!:good:

I don't fully understand your story, your English doesn't make it easy to follow
Can you make a screen shot of the Version page?
And make some photo's of the phone while in fastboot / recovery?

I don't think you can post photo's or links, since you are a new member. What you can do is upload them to something like www.tinypic.com and type in the link to your pictures without the "www." part, so something like this: "w w w.tinypic.com" or "tinypic.com"

Is it a China-made Clone? The Chipy-type looks typical for those clones. How much did you payed? How much Rom does it own? What about Processo type and speed?

Looks like your phone is not a HTC Onex
The info you have provided doesn't add up.
HTC uses hboot and fastboot. Yours uses uboot.
HTC kernels do not say HTC kernel in their info

This looks like a cheap rip-off. I'm quite sure you payed somewhere around the 150 euro mark for that phone. No way you can expect it to have the same specs as the "real" htc one x.

Just curious which phone is yours the White one or the Grey one in the pictures?

By viewing your photo, i would said that it is "Keeping it Real Fake" version of HTC One X.. Do compare the rows of front speaker holes beside front facing camera with any One X images yourself.

Yeah, that's definitely not the real thing, would be interested to see what hardware is inside it though. Perhaps you could install this app and post up the output?

At this moment I do not have the phone in hand, as soon as I feel is returned with this application and post the result, it's interesting to me to know what has mounted.
:crying:Last night, I made a simple factory reset, to remove all my data, the mobile phone has restarted, in the Chinese language, but also putting the Italian language, celular no longer has a signal to call (gprs) and appears the written imei invalid. I tried to give the phone to a friend, he is more experienced, I hope will help me.:crying:
If any of you can give me tips, they are really appreciated!

try these steps and try to replace boot.img
(by copying boot.img file only inside the folder),from any other working roms
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1749212
older version of boot.img incompatible with black screen devices.
I've never had a recovery with a black screen [on any of my devices and I've tested my share of crappy recoveries]. The stock RUU recovery option sounds better OR flash a working recovery through fastboot. The whole point of a recovery is to have a tool by which you can reset/recover your device. If I have to drive in to a workstation and do an adb plug-in anytime I want to use recovery.. I'm sorry, but I'd seek a better solution. And that's without considering the security risks associated with dropping a firewall and adding a java dev kit. I would in fact, if I had experienced such, find out:
1. Why the blackscreen occurred
2. Fix it
3. Take preventative measures so that it would not occur again.
But that's just me. I wouldn't build a tool to propigate my device's bad behavior.

as i have already said this tool is not mine. Please consult the owner of this tool linked on first page of this Thread For future reference.
i don't know why this "black screen recovery" Problem is there with all the newly manufactured WFS.
Why occurred?
1. I am rooting and reflashing CWM on old wfs without any problem.(even rooted for the first time)
2. the same above is not working with any newly manufactured devices.(all working well but With a black CWM recovery)
3. My doubts are pointing, its a fault of hardware,or any kind of display adapters Upgradation from HTC Side.(May be HTC is planning to give supports like ICS etc for future)
4.Also Some rooting errors can be the catch,(Again if HTC upgraded something)
4.CWM is fully working without any error.(Blindly)
5.only the four keys are lighting up,
6.This tool is The only option in that case to flash any custom ROMS.

HTC One X Susceptible to Remote Wipe Attack (Similar to S3)

Hi all,
The Verge reported that other Android devices may have the same issue as the S3 did (Samsung has pushed a patch out).
Yesterday we reported on a vulnerability on Samsung phones that could allow a malicious website to wipe a user's device, but new details are coming to light that indicate the issue extends beyond Samsung's product line — and that the dialer in some versions of Android may by the cause. Dylan Reeve writes that he was able to replicate the same behavior on both a HTC One X running HTC Sense 4.0 and a Motorola Defy running a version of CyanogenMod. The Next Web has confirmed the issue also exists on the HTC Desire running Android 2.2.
The problem appears to be the Android dialer itself. Websites are able to link characters with a special prefix in order to pass digits to the dialer in a phone — the same functionality that allows you to initiate a phone call from a site, for example. However, the dialers in phones also support specialized strings of characters that can do anything from displaying a phone's IMEI code to wiping the device itself. In devices vulnerable to the attack, the dialer treats these special codes the same as any other phone number, allowing a website to initiate a reset without the user authorizing it to do so.

Based on the article above, there is a link to a page that you can load it on your browser and test it. Loading this page on your desktop/laptop won't help.
Load it on your mobile browser:
http://dylanreeve.com/phone.php
If your device is susceptible, the page triggers your phone dialer and displays your IMEI number.
On my One X, Sense 4.1 with Android 4.0.4, the device is still susceptible. Apparently, HTC needs to update the dialer software to fix it.
You can read more about it here as well as look up some makeshift solutions:
http://dylanreeve.posterous.com/remote-ussd-attack
Let's see how long HTC takes to push out this patch.

leppie and diamant-x informed that the code is available and can be triggered BUT it will require user permission first which reduces the threat tremendously.
The main problem is that samsung provided a built-in code to factory reset without notification, that is a silly programing thing.
HTC didn't, so although we can get USSD codes executed via browser, there's not a lot of problems about it as we won't have our phone erased or something like that.

I think Custom ROMs will be fine because its quite an easy bug to fix and Custom ROM makers respond very very quickly.
Stock (manufacturer based) ROMs could be another story.
Stock ROM is fine too.
I tested it with the factory format and erase codes last night and they did not work. Things like DIAG's you can still get up.

Have you tried the link posted on the 1st post of this thread? It tests whether your device is exposed to running codes through the phone's dialer.
Your HTC device was not affected by the reset code that was posted yesterday because it's a Samsung specific code, however, if your device isn't patched for this security breach it can run a reset code that works on HTC devices as well.

The reason that no-one is too worried about the HTC One X is because apparently it does not have ANY codes that force a factory reset by dialing a number - hence the worst an attacker can do is make your IMEI number pop up. Personally I cannot understand why anyone ever thought it would be a good idea to allow you to do a factory format by typing a number into the dialer that you didn't have to press the call button to execute in any case - don't worry - no-one will be tricking you into a factory format of the HTC One X anytime soon.....

HTC One X - Stuck In Airplane Mode - Need Bootloader Advice

Got a HTC One X second hand from eBay, from the UK. Problem is that it's stuck in airplane mode, which clearly seems to be a software issue. Basically, the previous owner had routed the phone (I know this because Clockworkmod is the recovery) and has installed a stock ROM without re-locking the phone. This is probably what's causing the issue. How can I go about fixing this? Nearly all other solutions point to using a Nandroid backup. Obviously since I didn't do the bootloader changing etc. I don't have a backup. Is there anything I can do without going through the long-winded task of sending it back?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Reboot into bootloader (reboot with volume down, keep it until you get into bootloader). Find your CID and main version (i.e. download "minimal adb and fastboot", get into fastboot mode in your bootloader, type "fastboot.exe getvar all"). Once you have your CID and main version google for "nandroid backup collection htc one x". Download it, put inside clockworkmod/backup on your phone and, since you already have CWM, you can easily recover from downloaded image from recovery.
Lot of threads around if you need more detailed instructions for a particular steps. Good luck!
Go to the nandroid backup section (search it) and download the backup that suits your CID number and restore.

Ive found one the same but surely you could flash a custom kernel then custom rom? And then use it normally?
It is a well documented problem, it can sometimes be fixed quite easily but there are handsets out there that cannot be fixed so easily or not at all. I would have thought that the majority of them being sold on eBay will be the ones that the owners have tried to fix unsuccessfully, and buying them would be a bit of a lottery

Try a simple sim pull if you haven't already. Often times if you are stuck on 3g, a sim pull will enable LTE when you reboot the phone. on Verizon.

Hey Matt, I wonder if you can help me out. I flashed the GPE rom, it was working fine until i decided to edit the build prop. I changed the density value from 480 to 320. It worked but it was too tiny. Then i would readjust the value to 400 but upon restart the value wouldnt change. So i tried changing it back to 480 and saved it and directly went to reboot, not my phone refuses to load up. When i hold power and volume up the HTC logo screen comes up and then it turns back off, I cannot get into bootloader by pressing volume down and power. I am stumped. If you can assist me, id be sure to tip you some BTC your way.
Thank you in advance

I have an issue similar to this.
Phone gets to the HTC powered by android screen and then dies. I cannot access bootloader using vol down and power. It won't respond.
S-Off, unlocked boot loader.
Phone also periodically turns on by itself, then procedes to shut down after it gets to the HTC Powered by android splash screen.
EDIT:
Managed to get into recovery using the advice in this post:

When you plug it into the computer does the computer make a ding sound that it's connected? If so, then press power and volume up until the disconnect ding sound which indicates it's rebooting and then immediately press volume down and see if you can get into fastboot. The timing is tricky so I've found using audio cues from computer can help if the phone is messed up.

copy your custom ROM into a flashdisk. then use USB OTG, search on youtube about the tutorial.

It usually is, I've just got back from holiday and ran up a large phone bill so been trying to sort that out.
People should private message me so that I get the notification email as I thought I was subscribed to this thread yet when I checked just now, there's loads that I hadn't seen.
Sorry!

That's no problem and could happen to all of us. But some pointers from my point of view :
When i look at your O.P you give the tendency to look like a non profit company/organization which indeed offers a free service, that's all fine but please give the users the hint when it will be "offline" when you are on holiday or at least "offline" without a reason to stop the reactions users like me posted before. It looks like a 24 hour service promise which is not there.
I have been a helpful member on the hox section of xda the last 2 years and never had the need of such a thread/service. I think it won't make that major difference because users will always make new threads with their problems anyway.
This is not ment in a bad way, just my personal opinion !
Cheers.

If firewater isn't working for your device, then this service nor any other can help you gain S-Off, like it's been started in many threads already. You'll have to wait until firewater suports your phone.

[Q] Help me in flashing firmware of One M8

hey, guys. I'm new to android. I bought a HTC one M8 used (not totally, it's a phone of a HTC developer I think) yesterday. But it's firmware or android is weird. First I thought it's a clone but it's real. All HTC features are present. But another weird thing was when I updated a new build, a girl named Jennifer showed up like first time on my card & a bunch of contacts saved. In details I found out all of them are HTC developers. So, I think it's a real HTC one M8. It has a demo app which stay open when display sleeps, prevent it from sleeping. Also many settings are locked. Like power saving quick settings, Airplane mode. Also it's in full brightness & both quick setting + main setting is locked. I can see & trap it but don't work. Most of the settings are locked including developer options. It's white & tapping on/off doesn't work. The retailer shop keeper said flashing a new firmware will solve it. But their shop is really far away & I've no ideas on android firmware flashing. I know about Symbian flashing though but that's no use. Please somebody help me. I need a procedure for flashing & link of M8's firmware. My phone is Europe version. & also it'd be nice if you can tell me how can I see or edit my external memory card. Please help. Thanks in advance

Okay. I'll try it out & reply. Thanks
The"ok" in Factory reset is locked too. I'd upload a screenshot but I dunno how to. Please help. I think flashing is only option. But I dunno how to flash or dunno firmware link
You don't know how to take a screenshot? Hold power button and press home button at same time.
Good luck with getting it sorted! Can't you ask the previous owner for help or do you not know them?

Dude, I know how to take screenshots but dunno how to post in XDA. And I thought my phone is used cuz a girl from demo app was set up as user. Then I found out their is a about 700MB zip file with those pictures and stuffs. Whatever, I'm gonna try hard resetting now. Wish me luck
You can factory reset from bootloader or from stock recovery.
To get to bootloader, press and hold power + volume up. Eventually the phone will shut off and the screen will go black. Let go of power and volume up. Press and hold volume down until the bootloader comes up.

I used stock recovery. I'm trying to install TWRP with one click root kit, the developer option is disabled but usb debugging is enabled & HTC One drives are installed. But get token isn't taking my phone to boot loader. if I succeed in installing super su & twrp, tell me how to remove the demo app?

Great news!
solutin
first update its firmware via ota. then flash a custom recovery and a custom rom like skydragon. U r good to go. forget the stock because whenever u will return to stock rom. u will get the demo app again.
