Just received the GN a couple of days ago from Google play store. Did the OTA update to 4.4.1 and then unlocked the bootloader following these instructions http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1529058
Did not root yet... thought unlocking was enough excitement for the day...
Never checked if flash worked before I unlocked, I don't think that would have affected it.
Anyway, camera flash or using TeslaLed doesn't work. I decided to do a factory reset and it worked for about 3 flashes... I thought it was fixed. But tried it again later and didn't work.
I'm thinking this is a hardware issue, but the weird thing is that the camera isn't listed in Settings>Apps>All... although the camera works minus the flash.
Also, If I were to send the phone back, can I do a return and replace through Google since it is within their 15 day return policy or would I have to go through Samsung's warranty?
Thanks!

Anyone have a clue as to why a stock ROM GS3 (after the latest update) would be randomly shutting itself off? (Ithought this issue was to have been fixed in the latest ROM?)
I have LTE disabled, and only a few apps on there...

I had mine exchanged for this very reason, I was still in the trial period and received a new unit.
I'm having the same problem with mine every 3 days or so.. I also had the sms code 98.. But a simple phone call to sprint fixed that.. I should of said something about the restarts but I figured nothing would fix it besides an exchange which I plan on doing maybe next week..
Wait, so your saying this problem started happening AFTER you did the OTA LG8 Update...or its been happening since you purchased the phone? If its been happening since you purchased the phone, I would strongly advise exchanging it or wreaking hell on earth in a sprint store if they refuse. When you pay $500.00+ for a piece of hardware, there is absolutely no excuse for it not to work for years. I have not experienced this problem with my phone, however, I would strongly advise installing BlazerROM or StrongSteves Blue ROM. It could be that the OTA update you did was a bad flash. Find a stock tar around here, ODIN back to stock, and do the OTA updates again...or install a custom ROM like I advised earlier.
Yes, it started shutting down (not restarting) AFTER I did the OTA LG8 Update.
I spoke with Samsung last night and they offered to pay shipping both ways if I send it in to have it fixed.
Also, they suggested a hard reset, which I did, so I will see how it goes today.
I have only had the phone for two days so far...and I may have Sprint replace it if the issue persists.
Well about 2mo ago I wanted to update my rooted phone to ICS.
My phone would not take it, it only wanted EG30 and nothing else.
After many times of trying to get Odin to load anything but stock EG30 and uttering very loud profanity with the windows open late at night I went to KIES.
Well KIES did not work either and tried to get it to load updates which told me "your phone is incompatible" or something very close to that.
Did multiple factory resets as well. Did not work, but now I can do a factory reset in my sleep.
When I went to sync with my SUV's bluetooth and that did not work.
So went down to the Sprint repair store.
They could not get it to do anything either.
So they ordered me a new phone.
Got it today and works like a charm.
When I get off work will root that phone good.
So if your phone if doing things that defy logic, make sure you got a stock load on it and take it in.
Be well.

Hello,
I am using G-Nex for over 9 months now. Suddenly, my wifi won't turn on. I am using it with AT&T. When I go into wifi settings, it's just says, "Turning WIFI on" and is stuck at that point. I just did hard factory reset > and at the wifi settings step (during set up stage), it says same thing. My wifi is working fine. I did some google-ing and found many people have/had same issue and they had to send the phone for service that took over 3 months. I can't do that. Has anyone found a working solution other than re-servicing it? I didn't pay full price to spend 2+ months getting it serviced and buying a new phone for the time being )
Also, will google accept return since the product is faulty (I am asuming the warranty is for 1 yr).
Thank you
take it to an AT&T store for service even though it's a google phone, they may help you fix it
Are you rooted and/or running a custom ROM? One thing I would try to do is to reflash the ROM, if you haven't already done so.
Hi,
I didn't buy this from ATT (I bought it from GOOGLE store). Do you think they will still fix it?
I don't have any custom roms or anything installed. It's pure google experience.
Thank you
I just got an LG G3 last friday (Black Friday) on T-Mobile (got tired of Sprint). Anyway for the most part this phone has been great. A minor glitch with a game (possibly from porting it's data over from my S3). The main problem I have is with the WiFi.
First off WiFi calling sucks. If I don't have 3 or more bars on my WiFi connection the call gets fuzzy. During one call that was clear it just randomly dropped. So that isn't cool.
Secondly, if I connect to a WiFi network at home or work or where-ever and then go somewhere else and come back or go to another place with a network I want to connect to it won't connect at all. It will show all the networks and give me the option to connect. But instead of connecting it will try to connect for a long while and then just give up. I cannot get connected again until I reboot.
I have tried the suggestions found on this thread (and other places): http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/help/lg-g3-wifi-issues-t2829811
No luck with those suggestions. Which include the following:
Turn off and back on the wifi radio.
Disabling the "wifi signal is weak" option.
Disabling the battery saving for wifi.
Forgetting the network (my network list was automatically imported from my Google account).
Installing the "WiFi Manager" app and enabling the 5GHz channels (US) and changing 2.4GHz channels to "Complete".
Made sure that "Internet unavailable" option is disabled.
Made sure that "Keep Wi-Fi on when screen is off" is set to "Yes".
Disabling NFC.
Disabling BlueTooth.
Disabling Wi-Fi calling.
I don't have problems with a weak signal. So I am perplexed. My Samsung Galaxy S3 worked just fine on these networks. Restarting always seems to allow me to connect again. But I shouldn't have to restart every time I want to connect to WiFi.
All of my other wireless devices connect just fine in the household (a PS3, my fiance's Moto X, my old S3, MacBook Pro, Lenovo Windows 8 laptop, an HP running Ubuntu 14.10, and another Lenovo running Ubuntu 13.04).
Why is an older model phone doing so much better than the G3? Both phones are rooted (old and new). Does anyone have a fix? My phone is currently running LG's factory rom "D85110m". That is with Android 4.4.2 (my old S3 is on a cyanogen rom of the 4.4.x series as well).
Please help me fix this. Otherwise I might return it for an S5.
Thanks!
**** Update ****
Per my below post, it seems I have fixed my problem. I ended up doing two factory resets, unrooted, and did a final factory reset to fix the problem. Then I switched to the PurpleDrake method to root it the second time (and it worked really well without any issues).
Good luck everyone!
**** End of Update ****
Try to factory reset the phone. I don't know what version you are on but I assume its 10m

It is on 10m. Do I need to unroot before I do the factory reset? I have never had to do one before.
So it appears that doing a factory reset does not fix it. I guess I am taking it back and having them replace it. And I will demand it be a brand new one since I just got this phone a little over a week ago.
SOLVED!!!!
Ok, so I finally got it fixed. Albeit accidentally as I didn't expect it to be fixed at this point.
Here is what I ended up doing:
Two factory resets.
Unrooted the phone (via these instructions: http://www.androidrootz.com/2014/07/how-to-unroot-lg-g3-all-variants.html).
One last factory reset at T-Mobile store by me (because they forced me to).
The wifi did not start working correctly again until after that very last factory reset that I did. The unroot process also does a factory reset. But, and this may be key, it downgraded my phone to 10c from 10m in the process. I then did an OTA to 10m after the final reset.
I unrooted it because T-Mobile's diag software detected it was rooted and said that made the warranty invalid. And after I unrooted it I took the phone back to the store and demonstrated the problem to the employee that sold me the phone in the first place. He tested it for about 10 minutes and came to the same conclusion as myself. He then had to go to his manager to approve the replacement.
They got out the new phone to replace it with then the manage told me that he was required to have us to one more factory reset. So I went into the settings on the phone and did one last reset. And for some reason, since this point, the wifi problem has gone away.
I think it is possible that something I did to the phone caused the problem in the first place. But since I did so much to it in the first few days (rooted and installed a ton of apps) I am not entirely sure. My two current theories are it was either caused by this malware infected flashlight app I installed that kept popping up the Play Store to install a particular app. Or it was caused by the rooting method I used.
The original rooting method I used was "Stump Root". So the second time around I used the PurpleDrake method. This is a tiny bit more tedious, but very effective and it didn't seem to break anything. Further, when I installed TWRP I made sure that I grabbed the recommended image for it that is specifically for the US T-Mobile LG G3 device and installed that using Flashify.
After I got it safely rooted I tested the crud out of it and it seems to be working fine.
One last thought. It is possible that somehow Titanium backup caused the problem when I restored text and call logs. But I seriously doubt it.
Anyway, if anyone has any questions for me about this please shoot me a message. I am more than happy to help.
Thanks,
Patrick
Has anyone had success connecting their Gear S3 with DP3 on a Pixel 2 XL? For me the Samsung Gear App crashes after pairing.
Help?
Mine seems to be working perfectly so far (not tried taking any calls via the watch yet though), on Monday I was all set to return the 2XL as it kept dropping my watch constantly. Tuesday it did not drop at all on DP2, I installed DP3 yesterday it has also not dropped once. I took the OTA update, so did not need to re-pair with the phone though, wish I knew if it was going to be reliably connected long term. Mine does not seem to have any pattern as to when the phone drops the connection to the watch.
Of course, I have an RMA now to return the phone for a full refund so am now torn as to whether to return it or not.
Everything is ok. But recently i've downloaded custom samsung app set with fix. Here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-s3/help/gear-s3-gear-devices-incompatibility-t3789231
