Universal Adrenaline Shot - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Has anyone tried this tweak, called Universal Adrenaline Shot 14-a?
I wasn't sure if it would work with all the ROMs or maybe just some?
If it would work for some ROMs then maybe we could compile a list and post this tweak for all to use.

Well i googled it and see that its a file for 4.1. I am on a CDMA (Verizon) Nexus we havent got 4.1 official OTA update yet. So i was wondering if it would work with ICS.

If you are rooted u can put 4.1.1 on your VZW GNEX
Edit1: just checked this out. Adding this on 4.1.1 could make your phone beyond buttery smooth.

Yup. On a toro, toro+, & a GSM.
But I'm not gonna test it. Maybe have my dad try it on his Dinc 1 since he has lag issues.

Jelly Bean AOSP

Hello everyone,
I am trying to build a build of jelly Bean 4.1.1 for my cousins Galaxy Nexus GSM but I keep getting a great amount of errors, SO I was wondering if someone can just upload a OTA package of 4.1.1 tht I could download and flash to my cousins phone. Also just out of curiosity how would I flash it? through CWM? thx
LOVE U XDA!
-Kevin
Person who helps me will get huge rep and thanks Maybe even a donation ltr
Well, if your cousin intended to use it as a daily driver, it probably wouldn't have been the brightest thing to just build an AOSP version of Android. By itself, it really doesn't do much (NFC, GPS and a plethora of other things don't work because of lacking proprietary drivers [unless you rip them yourself], there aren't Google apps included by default, in general it lacks a lot of things).
Anywho, here's a link to the OTA package for Jelly Bean. Instructions can be found here.
Thank you so much good sir. Now I learn something new everyday

I was just wondering if it's possible to port over the jelly bean camera app to ics. Has anyone tried it? I'm not ready to leave AOKP ics yet but I really like the jelly bean camera.

I don't think it would work since u need the framework (I think???) And other stuff.
And no, no one is gonna port it. It's not needed and Ur probably the only person on the Nexus Forum that wants this.
I can give u the camera.apk if u wanna try it.

Well if anyone still cares I tried this and ran into a couple problems. First I couldn't find the camera.apk in bigxie's jellybean zip and secondly I tried replacing ics gallery with jelly bean gallery but it would force close when I tried to look at a single picture. Also I think jelly bean camera is built into gallery app because I still had a camera icon in my app drawer after removing the ics camera.apk however it would force close after trying to open it.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
im also interested for this. if there's anyone can port it out will be awesome. one of the thing interest me for jellybean is their new concept for camera and gallery. if framework needed. can we just copied it over ? not sure which framework tough.
I think this might just take too much work to be a worthwhile project for someone with the know how to do it. Also we can't complain when we can easily flash jelly bean on our nexus. I think I will just suck it up and live without some of the customizations for a while on jelly bean AOKP. I'm sure it'll catch up to ics within a month or so. The nighties feature list is filling up quite quickly.
Well it sure can be done, the question is, if someone is willing to put the time into it. But all you need to do, is actually to pull the code for the app from aosp, and put it in eclipse, and then start fixing errors and rewrite whatever shows up.
I think it might take a larger amount of work than usual for this type of thing, due to the fact that camera and gallery are in one apk now. Then again, it seems like a nice challenge. I wish I had the time and a little bit more coding knowledge to try it.

Unfortunately only paid version is available right now but I hope to release a free/limited version next week.

Well I guess someone did work on it, I never thought about the fact that there would be a demand for this from users of other devices that will likely never get official jellybean.
I can confirm that the CAMERA JB+ works for ICS.
So you can use the JB gallery and JB camera on ICS.
No bugs or lag and the quality is the same.

Dual Booting

OK I have the dual booting app all set up and everything(I think). But I can't seem to pass the Google Screen when I try to dual boot to Paranoid Android.

maybe its a kernel issue like a jellybean kernel wont work on a ics rom like miui idk thats what heppened to me when i tried to dual boot
Kernel???? How??? I did an experiment to see a certain result. I tried to duel boot from JB to JB (Vicious Into CM10) and it didn't work.
So it can't be the kernel.
This app is sooo neat though that I refuse to give up and get it to work. I've been reading the App's website about how to use it.

I sent an email to the app devs about this. Hopefully they'll give me some clues. And I hope it's not an abandoned project. This app gotta be THE GREATEST idea ever.

Hello!!!
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
I have downloaded your jaw dropping app "Boot Manager". I have the Galaxy Nexus running v4.1.1. I have read the Manual Website and learned a lot about your app. Just when I thought my phone was ready for it's first ever dual boot, my phone gets stuck at the Google Screen and then directs me back to Recovery. I was able to fix it by following instructions on your websites.
Attempted Dual Boot:
JB(Vicious JellyBean) into ICS(Paranoid Android)
So then I tried an experiment. I figured maybe I can't dual boot JB into ICS. So I tried to dual boot JB into JB. It failed as well.
Attempted Dual Boot:
JB(Vicious JellyBean) Into JB(CM10)
I have never tried ICS to ICS yet. But I don't want to use ICS as a primary rom. So are you guys working to fix this with an update??? Or do u have an answer to fix this now???
I really want to buy the Pro but I don't think that will solve the issues. =\
Thanks for reading!!! ^__^

[Q] Stock Verizon JB ROM?

I've had my Gnex now for about a week, and the first thing I did out the box was unlock, root and flash cwm and kept everything else stock 4.0.4. Now from what I read, since I have a custom recovery, when Verizon decides to push the ota of jelly bean, my device won't get the ota. So my question is, having looked in the Verizon Gnex dev section, there's a plethora of ROMS, as far as my finger can scroll, what's the best stock 4.1 ROM out there, that'll perform as Google intended? I have no qualms with what the devs are putting out there, I just wanna run stock for a while before jumping into the ROM abyss of awesomeness. Thanks in advance for the help.

The one thing I have a question about though is, after installing the ROM, I tried restoring my nandroid data backup and got stuck at the X bootanimation, was the lockup due to it trying to restore ICS data over JB?

The first boot up was actually about 5 mins, and then after I restored the nandroid that's when I was stuck. In any case, I had a Tbu backup just in case, and I restored things that way. Does the GPS usually take a long time to lock on? It took a few seconds extra to lock and give me navigation. I had to improv in a little bit while driving to my destination. It was a little interesting.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Yes. It does take a Lil bit longer. There are fixes out there that COULD help it. But I've never tried them.
And for some reason, when trying to restore From JB back to ICS, u get issues. ICS Should eventually boot though. The boatloader is the reason I think.
