Accidentally locked my phone! - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

Stupid me was playing with my security settings and I forgot the pass. Is there any way I can get back into my phone? It hasn't been rooted yet. Still stock. Please help. I don't want to reset my phone if I don't have to.
Thanks all!!

Does a hard reset also erase internal memory. Like photos and video stored on the internal memory?

It won't delete personal files like pictures and videos, make sure to back up your contacts though. All your apps and data on the apps will be deleted (however Google backs up some data on apps and they will be reinstalled when you set up your gmail account again.)

hard reset should do the trick. like other users have already stated, you will not lose pictures, videos, etc but you will lose apps and stuff like that.

Keep inputting the wrong password until it prompts you to enter your Google password...

Samsung Dive is not an app, its a website. You only need to create a Samsung account and enable it in the account settings.
Im stock (Bell) and it works flawless.

I know its not an app... I'm referring to AT&T stripping the "Wheres my mobile" setting under security settings... its not there. I have created a Samsung account on my phone, but because AT&T removed the Wheres my mobile and remote control settings I cannot use it... I'm on stock AT&T rom.....

No Service

I have a G2 rooted with cyanogen mod 6.1.1 and today randomly I started receiving No Service and now wherever I go I get No Service. Drove over 20 miles today and no service the whole way thru. I also reflashed the rom and everything still getting No Service.
Why is this happening?

Maybe your apn settings got erased or changed, did you check to see if they are the right settings for Tmobile data. Also checking with Tmobile to make sure your data plan is still active and hasn't been turned off for some reason, you don't need to tell them you rooted your phone.

Ok dumb question but I have to ask, are you sure you don't have airplane mode on? If not then I would call Tmobile and just verify your account is ok and active. Start the process of elimination.

Haha it's cool airplane mode is off and was off. I called T-Mobile everything is okay with my account they want to do a Master Reset. I'm guessing I need to unroot my phone first?

I would try under setting/privacy/factory data reset first, if that doesn't help then try flashing a diffrent rom, like maybe Enoms or stock+rooted before you resort to unrooting.

Did you try re-seating the sim card? Pull it out and then stick it back in again....maybe its a little loose.

If you can establish a wifi connection, go to the market and download a program called phone info by [email protected] Make sure you get the correct one since there are several with the same name. Install that and see if that helps you to get more information about your problem. It also enables you to change some of your phone's settings.

Okay I'll try that shortly, but I just removed root and restored the original rom and I still don't have signal.
Edit: So hours after talking to T-Mobile I found out that it's just that my sim is so old that it burned out.
Okay now that I replaced the sim card still nothing. And the new sim works in another phone. I unrooted and got a new sim card, so I have no idea what to do now.

NFC Setting Missing - GSM Galaxy Nexus

I got a Galaxy Nexus shipped to me here in the US from the UK. I'm on AT&T. It came SIM-unlocked, but I set about rooting and unlocking the bootloader. Didn't encounter any problems. However, after watching a video, I wanted to try Android Beam. I went into the settings to make sure it was on, but there is no setting. Anyone know why?
I'm on Android 4.0.1, build ITL41F
Are you in the right place? settings/more (in the wireless and network section)
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA App
It is literally right above the Android Beam setting (Settings -> Wireless -> More)
I have a GSM version, apart from root and CWM, running 100% stock 4.0.1.
Under network/Wifi & data/More I have a NFC menu-option, with a toggle.
I can turn it on or off and have "Android beam" below. Clicking Android beam just gets me a screen telling me "its on" and that it will be used when it can be used.
I'm not sure if this is normal or not, but that's what I have
Yeah, I was going to post a screenshot, but I'm too new to post external links. Always been a lurker, never had to post before. This has stumped me though.

So, as an experiment, I thought it might have something to do with my work email's Exchange policies. I backed up all my apps with Titanium, restored to factory defaults, and set my phone up again. This time, the NFC settings are there. I put my work email back on, activated the policies and (for now) the NFC settings are still there. Very strange. I'd like to know why it happened, but glad it's working again. Sorry for the false alarm!
As an aside, rooting/unlocking bootloader is maintained across doing a factory restore, correct? Or will I have to re-do all that?
Incase anyone was interested

Depends on the type of factory reset you did. An 'in ROM' factory reset deletes everything from /data and does not touch /system.
A 'recovery' factory reset could wipe everything. Including system.

[Q][Oddball] Google Wallet Can't Add Prepaid

Hello
I recently got my Galaxy Nexus and I am trying to use Google Wallet but running into a problem I haven't seen yet (A search revealed 1 other person with the problem but was able to resolve by wiping data from the app. This didn't work for me.)
I am running 4.0.4 AKOP build 29. I am unlocked and rooted. Wallet version 1.1-R52v7.
The app installs just fine. I have it linked to my google account. However, I cannot add a Google Prepaid card. It attempts to add for ~ 1min, then says, "Error adding card. Try again later."
I tried uninstalling / reinstalling. I tried the previous version. I also tried wiping the data from the app itself. Nothing has worked so far
Can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance.
Anyone? I'm very anxious to use GWallet!
You need to use a US credit card. View the adding funds thread for instructions that usually work.
Google wallet won't work if your rooted. Very disappointing.

Rubbish ... It works fine.. You just get a banner warning that it's on an "unsupported device".

I am located in the US. I also don't have the option to add funds because it will not allow me to add a prepaid card.

I have this banner. I simply used superSU to get rid of it, so the phone it thinks it does not have root. However, with/without superSU it still does not allow me to add a prepaid card
Can anyone else shed some light on this?
Anyone? I'm so close I can feel it!
Mine does the same. Idk wtf is going on. It worked before on my other nexus.

So I called Google, they connected me to the money network. Guy took a quick look. It is something on their end nothing to do with my phone. He can see my IMEI trying to activate but erroring out.Was escalated to T2 tech support and I am waiting on a phone call back.
They called me back. Had me reset the app. Still nothing worked. This has been escalated now to T3 tech support. I was told I would get a call back tomorrow :-/
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this issue?

Just out of curiosity, has your IMEI number maybe reverted to Samsung's default number?
Reason I ask is because that happened to me while using my Nexus S and I had the same issue you're having.

I'm also experiencing this issue. So frustrating! I used to have Wallet on my phone...but I tried to reset it to get the extra $5 and haven't been able to get it back up and running since. That's what I get for being greedy!
If anyone has any ideas...it would be greatly appreciated. I've done almost everything: reset app, clear cache, uninstalled, installed older versions....cant get it for the life of me!

What do you mean Samsung's default number? I have came to the general conclusion that it something to do with the Money Network. They are blocking my phone, my IMEI, from connecting. I was able to login with my Google account on another phone just perfectly and get my prepaid card.

I can open the app just find. It initializes, lets me sign in, make my PIN code, just not add a prepaid card. And I have wiped the data from in the app multiple times trying to get it to work

Me too, I want this working so bad! Hopefully T3 tech support can help me out. I feel like all that they need to do is reset/unblock/do something, with my IMEI number on their end.

A while back I flashed a ROM to my Nexus S that corrupted my nv_data.bin file which in turn changed my original IMEI to Samsung's generic's. (004999010640000)
After that happened I was unable to re-use Wallet because Money Network's service will not allow that IMEI to work in their system, for obvious reasons.
Check the IMEI on your phone's back cover or box and compare it to the one in your Android's system. Hopefully they match. There's no solutions for the Nexus S currently. You'd have to send it back to Samsung. Good luck.
This happened to me even after Google fixed the provisioning of the Prepaid Card. I just kept Removing and Adding the Card. Eventually, after a couple of days it fixed itself. Try Resetting the App, Deleting Data, uninstalling, and then re-installing.
Money network finally got it working for me. I believe they did a master reset. It now works

[Q] Lost my phone last night :(

I lost my phone last night (yes I'm an idiot). Tried installing Plan B this morning but it doesn't appear to work on Jelly Bean

Also, for future reference, what are the best apps for locating devices? I miss "Find my iPhone"

[Q] Help! Phone is LOCKED

I use pattern to unlock my Galaxy S3, but my son played with my phone and accidentally input too many patterns and make my phone only can be unlocked by signing into google account.
My wifi and mobile data status seem OFF. I am thinking maybe it makes my phone unable to connect to the Internet and sign in to gmail. I tried to call myself using another phone but the phone did not let me go to the home screen to turn on the internet connection.
Is there anyone know how to solve problem? And if I need to factory reset my phone, how can I do it?
I'll be grateful if there is someone who can help
