Will I lose root with ATT security update? Any way to postpone beyond 8 hours or remove the postponement?

Its possible you could download voodoo ota rootkeeper off the Play Store and install/run it to protect your superuser install but I don't know if it works on that specific device:/ I'd try it though and hope for the best. Then again custom roms don't get ota updates afaik lol!

My New Galaxy Nexus is rooted and it was working fine, but not everything is being auto denied even the super user app. Any one seen this?

Was it stock but rooted? Maybe you took an update?
Shell into it and see if you can su at all.
Yes it is stock but rooted. Does the 4.0.2 update break root?

Looks like it is broken. I will reboot and see if that fixes it.

Did you make sure the app is not on the approved list? Auto deny only works on apps that have not been set for approval. Let us know what happened. I'm curious which application appears to be bypassing it.

Yep, pretty sure it does break it. I saw posts on another forum about similar problems. Just root it again through recovery.
So I am in the middle of rerooting but it is still sitting at the google screen. Lets hope this is the fix that we needed.

So the re-root helped. I guess the update to 4.0.2 breaks root. I thought it was fine. Hmm.. Not to everyone i guess.
There's a new OTA update for the market, just wondering if I have to download it manually somewhere since I have a custom rom. Or will I get the OTA? if I have to download it, where do I get it?

You will get it automatically.

Hello, I noticed I lost root after the ota update.
Strangely it went even if I had disabled them via first aide..
It's a glitch or they found a way around it?

I think u read that wrong. I want to disable OTA updates from coming through but even when I do disable the notification the wakelock goes crazy and keeps running in the background.
I got your point fine, still doesn't make any sense as to why you'd want to gimp your device like that

If you clear the cache that gets rid of the update but it will probably redownload....but at least it won't notify you of an update until it redownloads

Is there anyway possible to watch sky on a rooted note 2???
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
I did read somewhere that you can bk up your root access and remove your superuser app, use sky then restore after but tbh the procedure was a lil long winded, and not a permanent fix.
It will depress you but have a look at this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1506967

Basically no
I toggle root to get around this. Pain in the ass really and it MUST be stock rom and stock kernel.
Use OTA Rootkeeper to backup root. Then do a full cleanup supersu, and then restore root via OTA Rootkeeper. And toggle the temp unroot and reroot options within that.
Make sure you've fully closed skygo before using. Sky piss me off. ...
