Well your Data Icons are blue, which means that your phone is communicating with the Google Servers...
Have you tried deleting, then re-adding the account that's giving you problems?
It could be just a random glitch....
Same thing happened to be with an IMAP server. If you figure it out, I'd like to know. I switched to enhanced email.

I've tried everything... even a hard reset...
Another tip.. with my home WiFi network it works just fine, no problem...

My University contracts students email out to Microsoft. As a result I have a live account that I'm able to configure as an Exchange account. I never had an issue on older Android devices but something is hanging up after authentication.
I believe its after authentication because if I type my password wrong I get a login error. Otherwise it simply states that it can't connect to the server after the connection times out.
Just looking to see if anyone else has a similar issue. Its not a huge deal for me but would be nice to have. I'm going to file a ticket with our help desk. Took some screenshots so they know I'm configuring it all right and see my error messages.
My work email hosted on Exchange 2003 works just fine. The school email consistently times out on 3g, 4g, and wifi.

Considering the official Hotmail app doesn't support the Nexus it may be a compatibility issue that I need to wait out.
EDIT: Hotmail accounts configure just fine.

I have 3 Gmail accounts (well 1 Gmail and 2 Sky mail accounts) on my phone which I access through the Gmail app. They have been working fine but after flashing Paranoid Android and Trinity and reinstalling, one of the accounts (a Sky one) causes Gmail to FC. Everything else works normally so I'm thinking it's not a bad flash of the ROM/kernel.
The other 2 work fine, but on the affected account the inbox and folders show but as soon as I click on an email to read it I get the "Gmail has stopped working" message and the app FC.
I've deleted the account and replaced it and it hasn't helped, the problem persists.
Any thoughts or solutions?
Thanks

Suggestion: Clear app data. Uninstall Gmail, reboot, install it from the market.
Tried that and no joy. Thanks for the suggestion though. Any other ideas?

I just got my scmexy new Galaxy S III from Bell. Everything works great except email sync. For whatever reason it simply refuses to even fetch the email and as a result there is no notification upon the arrival of a new message. The only time it will show the email is if I open Gmail and manually refresh.
Is anyone else having this issue?
I also from time to time get "Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped." I don't know if this is a related issue but I can only assume. I normally get that message when I open the browser, but I can force the error by enabling and disabling sync.
I am on a Rooted Stock Rom with no further modifications. Keep in mind this was happening before root.

I've only had my S3 for a couple days now and have this same problem. Mobile Data and Packet Data are both on... My APN is the same a what it was with my old S2 which worked fine. Not sure?

Its seems to be something with the sync interval, but I am at a loss on how to chnage it.

It is indeed checked. I must note that all my other services sync fine. Calender, picasa web all that good stuff. It is just Gmail. I seem to be receiving the notifications now but they are severely delayed now.
I'm thinking the problem lies with the Sync Frequency. I know on my i9000 I could set the frequency manually (i.e. 1minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes, Sync Off) but I don't seem to be able to locate that menu now.
Turn off Internet sync to get rid of gapps fc issue. Internet sync, syncs bookmarks to stock browser.

I can't figure it out, Gapps is royally farked. I can't send emails in it either and now it is refusing to connect to any Google Services. I have tried on LTE, HSPA, WiFi and (just for kicks) GSM
Here's what I did because Sync uses battery life.
- removed Gmail app.
- opened the stock email app
- entered my gmail credentials in and select manual setup
- leave everything the same but in the server, enter m.google.com
and voila, you'll have push email instead of syncing at different intervals.
Intesting. I completely forgot about Push Email, which would explain the Sync Interval thing. Gmail's app uses push. Since GAPPS isn't connecting properly, I guess I know what my issue is.
Sigh, I hate resets

How does CM9 Work for you?
Any issues?
Nope! none at all! I'm using it with This Kernel and it's awesome!
my wife is using CM9 on her Note and it's super stable..

How is the Battery Life compared to stock?
I couldn't tell you, I bought the phone new, powered it on once for about 10 seconds and rooted / cm9 lol
you can undervolt the CPU to save battery life, there is also a governor that you can set it to so that it reduces batt consumption.
I'd try it, you have nothing to lose.
I've had this gmail issue from time to time. I usually can fix it but going to settings - applications - all - gmail - clear data and clear cache. Give it a shot

Hi everyone,
My mother-in-law has the I747M with Telus, completely stock, and cannot send any emails through her third-party email provider when connected on wi-fi. Tried POP3 as well as IMAP settings, as well as SSL on and SSL off. Followed instructions from that email provider's set up doc as well.
This issue ONLY happens with this device, no matter on wi-fi at her home or wi-fi at my home. She has an iPad2 which is set up on same wi-fi networks and uses the same third-party email provider settings, but can send emails fine when on either wi-fi network (wtf, iOS doing something that Android can't???)
Incoming emails are coming through fine either way. Outgoing email will only send when she turns off wi-fi and the phone connects back onto the wireless network. Otherwise they just sit in Outgoing folder.
I've exhausted my searches both on Google and here.
Hoping NOT to have to set up a web email account to redirect emails, and hoping NOT to have to install a third-party email app if possible (aware of MailDroid or K9Mail).
Thanks in advance!

T'was all stock, including email client app on her S3... by stock I mean Samsung email app
Using same app now and it was successfully sending emails over wifi after removing her email account and re-adding it.

Thanks, that's what I thought. Glad you solved the problem.
I tried several times to add my e-mail account, the one I normally use, apart from my Gmail one, which I successfully added, using the e-mail app that is preinstalled. It keeps on connecting to the server, but it eventually it does not.
No problem with the mail account, in three different pc's and my mobile phone, a Nokia N8.
What am I supposed to do?

You could have a setting wrong. What type of account is it and which step is it failing on? Fwiw, I prefer K-9 Email to the stock app.
