[ERROR] App could not install. How to fix that? - Samsung Galaxy Gio GT-S5660

Guys this night I've tried two ROMs - XperiaTized v12 and latest build of CM7.Both are based on GB.The funny thing is - I constantly get this freaking out error "Приложение не установлено",which is in english - "App could not be installed".I've read about deleting this temp file, but it doesn't exist in both folders they said it can be found!
I suppose this is the only place I can get help, nobody else knows how to fix this stupid error.I want to use this fancy ROMs but I just cant install some saved apks, and some of them installed successfully on one GB-based ROM,and some of them installed nice on the other ROM.I don't get it.
These .apk's installed perfectly on ICS.I just want to use HW acc and full functional camera and be able to install what I need. Please help, anybody.

[Q][ROM][GSM][AOSP]Apex v1.0.2 - No conversation.apk

Hi everyone,
this is my very first post so I hope I'm not making any mistake posting here instead of somewhere else.
I installed this ROM yesterday (incredible and awesome job, btw) but no conversations.apk was in it and I had to install Hardcent SMS to handle the messaging.
Is it normal or I made something wrong? I also checked the rom .zip before posting.
I searched for infos in the official thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1399238) but I've found nothing.
Thanks in advance,
--tyler--
Dunno - unless you didn't flash bigxie's gapps file immediately afterwards before rebooting, but in that case you'd be missing more than just messaging. I assume you did a full wipe first as per instructions.
I installed Apex 1.0.2 and have the native sms apk, although I didn't test it since I prefer Handcent and have disabled native texting.
Maybe your flash had a hiccup, you could try reflashing...
or open up the zip file and see if there's a conversations.apk in it.
I just updated from Apex 1.0.0 to 1.0.2 and I had the stock SMS application on both versions. You may have forgotten to flash the gapps package. Unlike CM7 and other Gingerbread ROMs, the gapps package needs to be flashed along with the ROM every time you update/install.

Hi Clancy_s,
thank you for your reply. I followed the instructions line-by-line as always and also I tried to download again the rom and flash it a second time but nothing...
As I said, I also checked the zip file in order to get the apk and put it manually on /system/app, but I couldn't find it!!
Now you're telling me that you have the stock messaging app on your phone and you also have the same rom I have... that's strange!
Could you please check your rom .zip and look for conversation.apk?

I can but it'll have to wait a couple of days - I'm away from home for the next 3 and like to use a pc for that sort of thing.
I upgraded from Apex 1.0.0 so it's possible the conversation.apk carried over from there...
goo-inside.me/roms/fabolous/maguro/bigxie_maguro_Apex_v1-0-2.zip
<-- link to actuall gapps
i also need to reinstall it after updating from 9.2 -> apex1.0 (namechange) to get sync with google acc
so...I downloaded the file...again... (third time!) and unzipped it.
Am I crazy or there is no conversation.apk in it?
seriously guys: where is it?
it should be in System/App, am I right?
why it isn't there?
today I wiped my phone and flashed for the third time, with the brand new file downloaded few seconds before, after that I flashed the gappas (without rebooting the phone) and THEN I made a reboot.
Still no conversation.apk....??

ICS - root access - mounting??

im on easydoesit v2.2 and im having trouble mounting in root explorer...if i reboot enough times i can get it to mount but the files that i delete or add don't save...
for example...im trying to delete apex launcher since i have go launcher...when i delete the apk it says file deleted...but when i click refresh it comes back
is this a problem specific to the rom or are others having the same problem on other ICS roms?
if anyone knows how to fix this please help
thanks in advance
I had some odd Superuser issues on Raver's ROM, so I flashed Wrathdu's latest Superuser binary and it seems to have fixed that. Search for Wrathdu or Zeppelinrox, he posted it too

is this the exact one? want to make sure its the correct one for our phone model

Im rooted - now what?

After 2 weeks trying 4289371293 ways to root my phone I got my bootloader unlocked yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy
Another 2 weeks trying the same 3472837189371239 ways to root my phone I eventually managed to root my phone yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy
Now what?
I have Huawei Ascend G520-000 - Chinese rom, no google apps
It has clockwork mod installed - used it to try and install this rom http://www.needrom.com/mobile/huawei-g520-3/
Also tried to install Google Apps zip
STILL fails - (formats, verifies, then aborts) grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Does it get any easier than this? Should i replace the CWM with a different one?
Ive also tried just copying Google Apps to the root directory but the rom constantly complains ("Google services are closing down")
So I think it will need a new rom which has Google apps already installed
I was looking at how to use a Flash tool to flash the rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1982587
but I must be too thick:
MT6575_Android_scatter_emmc.txt ?????
There is one of these files in every single flash tool that Ive tried (4637281643782146327146's)
So how does in know about the rom I want to flash if I dont tell it where to look?
I dont see the connection between the flash tool itself and the software you want to flash - and its not indicated anywhere in those instructions either
Do I put the rom in the flashtool folder or something?
Snapdragon MSM8225Q
Dude. MT6575_Android_scatter_emmc.txt won't work. G520-0000 doesn't have a MTK6575 processor, it has a Snapdragon MSM8225Q processor. Maybe that will help. I had the same issues as you. In the end I gave up and bought a different phone.
Good luck!

I need AsusCamera folder from vendor folder!

I tried to install asus camera rog phone port to see if it works. To do that i uninstalled the older stock camera 3.0 with lucky patcher. After a firmware reinstalling i got back the default camera 3.0 but there is the "DITLibStill, Load DIT lib error." I did a stupid thing. I think that some libs are missing which should be in /system/vendor/app/AsusCamera/lib. Someone could upload AsusCamera folder and send me the link please? Help me
EDIT. Ok. I found the weird solution which i've already experienced with asus gallery.... What i did was going in AsusCamera folder in vendor, install the asus camera apk you find here, open it and there won't be some features. It will be quite empty. Then go to the camera info and select "uninstall updates". That's it. It's fantastic. I think someone who is expert could explain this
Hi @Ryder.
I have this same error on the camera in a custom room that I installed. Do you believe that if I copy the folder "/system/vendor/app/AsusCamera/lib" to the new rom, can it work?

I don't know. But i think it would need other folders and files/libs too. For example the ones in /data/data/com.asus.camera. Then you have to set the right permissions of course
What custom rom did you install??
Got it. Previously I tried copying as many asus camera files (including multiple libs folders), but it did not work.
About the rom I'm using, it's the lineageOS 16.0:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone-3/development/rom-lineageos-16-0-ze520kl-ze552kl-t3848349
Since I'm not very knowledgeable about how libs works, I'll be careful to see if anyone else will be able to solve this problem.
Anyway, thank you
