I tried to install asus camera rog phone port to see if it works. To do that i uninstalled the older stock camera 3.0 with lucky patcher. After a firmware reinstalling i got back the default camera 3.0 but there is the "DITLibStill, Load DIT lib error." I did a stupid thing. I think that some libs are missing which should be in /system/vendor/app/AsusCamera/lib. Someone could upload AsusCamera folder and send me the link please? Help me
EDIT. Ok. I found the weird solution which i've already experienced with asus gallery.... What i did was going in AsusCamera folder in vendor, install the asus camera apk you find here, open it and there won't be some features. It will be quite empty. Then go to the camera info and select "uninstall updates". That's it. It's fantastic. I think someone who is expert could explain this
Hi @Ryder.
I have this same error on the camera in a custom room that I installed. Do you believe that if I copy the folder "/system/vendor/app/AsusCamera/lib" to the new rom, can it work?

I don't know. But i think it would need other folders and files/libs too. For example the ones in /data/data/com.asus.camera. Then you have to set the right permissions of course
What custom rom did you install??
Got it. Previously I tried copying as many asus camera files (including multiple libs folders), but it did not work.
About the rom I'm using, it's the lineageOS 16.0:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone-3/development/rom-lineageos-16-0-ze520kl-ze552kl-t3848349
Since I'm not very knowledgeable about how libs works, I'll be careful to see if anyone else will be able to solve this problem.
Anyway, thank you

Hello. Hopefully someone can help me with this.
I have created an Elite themed Launcher Pro (based on Koni's Elite series I rom). I have all the framework modified and the apk ready to flasha gain.
I started by using the zip from the Myn's Rom launcher pro and replaced the framework files. i flash it and it does place the apk in data/app however the phone doesnt recognize that it is present. Nothing shows in applications under settings and cant get it to "run".
When i move the apk to system/app it works perfectly.
anyone have any ideas on what might be causing this. I am sure i probably just missed something silly but i cant seem to get it going for the life of me.

Only thing I can think of is when modifying it got signed as system file maybe? Not too sure cause I modified the original LP apk and reinstalled from SD root like normal app. Seems this would be easier than having to flash it but just my thoughts.
Also, why not just leave in system/app?
The main reason for not leaving it in system/app (and also for the flash) is because it doesnt put the dock background on by default. Those who would like to use it have to go and set it them selves. Which isn't a huge deal by itself but trying to make it as easy as possibe for the users.

My girlfriend has downloaded an image from internet by long pressing the image and then selecting "save image" on her Wildfire S with stock Android 2.3.3.
The problem is that the phone keeps downloading this image over and over again even when it is already downloaded. It tries to download the image about every sync action for over a week already.
Before i just delete the whole history i thought maybe someone here knows the answer to this problem, so she can avoid it in the future.
Many thanks for your help!
Hi, I have similar problem, but with applications. Sometimes phone starts downloading already installed app. Even if I set all apps to manual update only.
This behavior is really killing my data plan limit!
My friend with the same phone has this problem too.
Anyone have similar problem or solution to fix it?
The same with me. Does anybody know how to fix it?
Same here. Must be something specific to the wildfire S
I've got the same issue. I guess it'll go away once I can flash a CyanogenMod or MIUI ROM
Works for me alright

It's worth completely removing the offending application and then reinstalling it. I had the download issue with 'LED Light'. Removed it and reinstalled it and problem resolved.
I now have the same issue with another appl - will try the same solutoin
It seems to happen when you do an update which is interrupted partway
We ported this rom on the Aria and had the same issue. I replaced the DownloadProvider.apk and DownloadProviderUI.apk with the ones in CM7 and it now works fine.

Here are the apps. You need to delete them from your current rom and replace them for these.
How do I delete them without root access? My Wildfire S is not and can not be rooted at the moment

I assumed the Wildfire S was "rootable". That's a very goo question. You can try something but I have absolutely no guaranties it is going to work because I personally never tried it. Either way, it's your call.
**Make sure you back-up your phone to the Google Server because this will wipe all the data in your phone.**
1- Run the RUU for your phone. This will extract the rom to the temp folder of your computer. For me it's under C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temp\. An easy way to find it is to clear that folder prior to running the RUU. This way, it should be the only thing in there.
2- Enter the folder and look for a zip file called rom.zip
3- Open the zip file using 7-zip or Winzip. DO NO EXTRACT THE FILES ON YOUR COMPUTER TO REPACKAGE AFTER. THIS WILL SCREW UP THE ROM. You really want to make any addition or subtraction from the archiving utility.
4- Extract the system.img file. Now the challenge is to find a way to edit the content of that file. I personally have no idea how to but I'm sure there must be some tools to do that.
5- Once you've managed to open the .img file, under system/app, there should be DownloadProvider.apk and DownloadProviderUI.apk. Delete those and replace them with the ones I sent in my previous post.
6- Close the .img file.
7- From 7-zip, delete the system.img file and replace it with the one you edited.
8- Close 7-zip and follow the rest of the instructions from the RUU.
Again, no idea if any of this will work because I've never been in the situation to make changes on an unrooted phone. Your biggest challenge is step 4. If you cannot get in that .img file, then I guess you'll have to wait to get root access to your phone. My guess is that it shouldn't be too long since HTC agreed to unlock the HBoot.
Good Luck!
And is it possible to change this files in a "running" ROM Image (rooted, without flashing)?

I think so. Like I said, I never tried it so it's all speculation here. How about you try to install the apk on top of the ones you currently have, i.e. without deleting them? You do have the ablility to install from Unknown Sources correct?

Yes i have. But I'm new to Android, so I want to be careful.
I replaced both in system\app folder (without installing) and after that my market doesn't work anymore.
So I had to flash my ROM cause the Backup files didn't work too.
Was a lot of work, making all new (but at least Titanium Backup works ).
Maybe somebody other knows more?

I am a bit confused here. What do you mean by you replaced in system/app without installing? Also, you said you used Titanium Backup. I thought this app only worked on rooted phone
Unfortunately, I cannot be of much help because I really have an Aria with a ported rom from Wildfire S. I personally fixed the download issue by deleting and reinstalling these apps, but in reality, I have no idea if that would work on the actual Wildfire S. Sorry that I cannot be of any help.
My phone is rooted.
I mean I changed the apk files in folder system/app with those from you (using Root Explorer). Before I deleted them I made a backup of the original ones.

Ok, so try this then. Delete the apk and don't replace them. Flash the Rom and boot the phone. Then install the apk from ur original Rom, i.e. not the ones I provided, but the ones u originally deleted.

I already flashed my Phone with original ROM and it works again, but the bug is again there.
The point is, I dont want to flash my ROM every week so I hoped there is a solution to change without flashing again.
Otherwise I will wait, my there will be a fix from HTC.
But I wanna say thank you, for your help and your patience with me!

I'm with you on the flashing. I'm not sure HTC will release a fix for this though. However, what u can do is return ur phone and get another one. It seems not everybody has this issue. I'm personally glad I could resolve it on my phone.

Hi, I can't seem to connect to my camera after flashing my ROM. I get "Camera Error: Can't connect to the camera". I'm using an N7105
I've tried:
1. CM10.1 and AOKP-JB-mr1-build6 roms. Restoring to the stock ROM made the camera work again, but flashing to the AOSP roms again after that breaks the camera.
2. Tried the NEAK kernel.
3. Tried removing the sdcard.
4. Tried fixing permissions in CWM.
I noticed that this seems to be an issue with AOSP Roms and S3s, but I can't seem to find a fix for the Note II. Is there one?
Thanks in advance!
Try some other kernel....

Any solution to this? I'm experiencing the same phenomenon, nothing seems to remedy it. Flashed different roms, kernels, etc.
Did u guys used touch focus or the camera app wont Just open? The aosp camera works fine but Whenever u use the touch focus while flash is set on : always on: then it will FC.. reboot and try again.. (my experience)
Cheers

Nah, for me it just won't open up at all, in any AOSP ROM i try. Full wipes of system, caches, etc. I don't know what else to try.
App starts, I see controls and black screen, then "Cannot connect to camera"

Exactly the same problem for me. Tried multiple camera apps all with the same effect.
Im aware that this is for the Galaxy S3 but looks like a similar problem and might be worth trying out.

I will give it a go when I get a chance but busy at work today so may not happen any time soon.
I find this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.moblynx.camerajbplus
to be the best alternative.

Its not about the app. Its about the Camera. No app can connect to the camera because the firmware doesnt exist in the AOSP ROMs, only in the stock ROMs
I think I read that a recent CM nightly made some kind of stride forward in the camera dept. Haven't tested it, as am surprised to find myself happy with the stock ROM (albeit debloated).
from tapatalk (Galaxy Note 2)
Does it have to do with fixing permissions? I had this same error on my T-mobile Note 2 when I tried using an AOSP rom. I tried re-wiping, flashing etc to no avail. I was just getting ready to try an updated version to see if this fixed it.

Ofcourse it does, prior to installing this app the default camera was working just fine with slimbean which is based off of AOSP. Ive only changed my default camera because of the extra options, otherwise default work. Get your facts straight. Also i can connect to the camera just fine using any application including social and media apps..

Okay, so maybe it has been added to that ROM or maybe your camera has a different firmware to mine. For reference my camera firmwares are
REAR CAMERA:
Cam FW Ver: ZMGA01
Phone FW Ver: ZMGA01
FRONT CAMERA:
Cam and Phone FW Ver: S5K6A3
So after a couple of days of research I have managed to solve this problem.
Problem
When using a non-stock rom if you try to open ANY camera application that uses the rear camera you get the message "Can't Connect to camera" and the application force closes.Solution
Flash back to a stock ROM where the camera works and root your device.
Dial *#34971539# in stock dialer.
Check your camera vendor using "Phone/CAM FW Ver Check". For me it was ZMGA01
Install Root Explorer from the Google Store
Use Root Explorer to navigate to /data/cfw/
Copy the SlimISP_xx.bin to your SDCARD where xx = the first two letters of your firmware. For me it was SlimISP_ZM.bin
Flash the ROM you wish to use. I installed CM10.1
Using Root Explorer place the SlimISP_xx.bin into /data/cfw/
Change the permissions on the file to 775 (rwxrwxr-x)
Change the owner to System
Change the group to Media
Launch your camera app of choice
Take photos.
I have submitted my camera firmware file to CM10.1 so hopefully if anyone else has this camera it should start working for you i you flash the latest nightly in a few days.
I would rate this as something that is easy to do yourself, the biggest problem I had was researching it.
Thanks,
Harroguk

I believe on some ROMs the camera firmware is kept somewhere else (Obviously) filename format should be the same though.

All the firmware have been submitted.. but I had the issue...

Hi,
i have changed rom to cyanogen 10.2 because my original rom not working camera (error connecting to camera). so i tried to reset to defaults with same result. I changed rom to cyanogen 10.2 (it was very good) and i have the same camera problem. I changed with another N7100 camera (in other phone it worked fine ) and it work for 1 day (in the other phone a put the "not working camera" and it worksssss) . So i think tnat is not a camera hardware problem. In cyanogen the dialer pressing test function doesn't work and in "/data/cfw" directory i have 8 files : SlimISP_BH, SlimSP_GD, SlimSP_GH, SlimSP_GK, SlimSP_ZD, SlimSP_ZH,SlimSP_ZK,SlimSP_ZM files. I have to had only one of this (i don't know my original firmware) or the cyanogen generic N7100 rom have all camera firmware to logically work with all N7100 firmware? I think that every specific firmware phone get automatically its file for the firmware they have. But i think that all firmware in the same direcotry can overload the rom information firmware too. I need to return to stock and check with original rom by dealer what firmware i have ? It was an original N7100 tim branded phone (samsung changed already 1 time camera in warrenty time but after 2 months the same error). I don't want to think its a logic board problem because or work or not work. I think its a "stupid" firmware problem.

Hi,
while trying to fix my gyroscope on cm12.1 Betahydri rom i sadly deleted an important file.
It was called sensor_settings.reg (or .conf, im not sure).
Now all sensors are broken, so i need the file back.
Can someone be so kind to upload this file for me?
It is found in the following folder: /persist/sensors/
Thank you
Gnoge
it's not even back after i installed a new rom.
So please, help me and give me that file
Maybe tomorrow I will try to, I have the same issue with my Gyro and it frustrates me when I try to make 360° with Google camera.
that is the problem with cm12.1 Betahydri i guess. Are you using it?
It worked for me when i was using cuoco rom.
But nothing works for me now, even on cuoco rom, because i deleted the wrong file.
Will you be so nice to upload it for me ???
its called "sensor_settings.reg (or conf)" its in : /persist/sensors/
Please give me the full path, I can't find it!
thats the full part.
use a root explorer to find it.
be sure you use root explorer like "es file explorer" and activate root.
if you cant find the folder use the search function.
i show you a picture of the path and folder below
Thank you for your help
I would give you the file before I reflash my phone with fresh clean Rom, maybe it will fix the gyroscope inverted axis.
I will keep you updated if it works
Thank you so much!!! Finnally my sensors are back (this stupid file just containes a "1" in it, lol)
You should use Cuoco92 12s, the Axis are correct in this one. .
Thank you
Thank you for the information, what about battery life compared to clean stock rom
unplugged it a 8:45am as you can see at my screenshot, its at 46% now (21:10pm). So i think its good. I use it with nova launcher because i dont like how apps are sorted without it. It works very good, everything works so far
Ok, maybe I shall give it a try and see.
thank you.
I don't know what I was thinking but last night (new Years Eve) I went onto apkmirror and downloaded the latest OOS stock camera for op8 oss11... Clearly I had to much water and o.j. . . Anyways I installed it which went fine until I opened it... Black screen. I tried to downgrade back but of course it won't downgrade. These are the times I miss system root. When I would be able to just delete the system file and then install the correct one. Does anyone know how I can replace the new camera apk with the correct one easily... Meaning without flashing my phone.. I know that on magsik they have a app systemizer module.. Does that work on reverse so I can do it that way. Over the years I have step back from playing with my phone but I still know how to follow directions lol.. any help would be awesome.. thank you in advance.
Nevermind. I did a local upgrade of the same version OOS that I am using as to not affect the data.. Just need to Re-Freeze the undesirable apks... Which is not a big issue.. TY anyways.
I'm having the exact same issue.
I don't want to reinstall my OS.
If anyone can be so kind to extract their OnePlus Camera Apk and attach it here please.

Reinstalling your current version as a “local upgrade “ doesn't “reinstall” your OS (doesn't wipe anything). Just make sure you follow the Magisk installation steps so you don't lose root.
