HELP! - HTC One V

Hey guys,
I recently flashed the OnePrimo ROM for the GSM One V. It used to work fine until I got stuck in bootloop and had to restore a nandroid backup. After successfully restoring, I flashed the OnePrimo ROM without a full wipe. After realizing the mistake I made, I booted back into recovery and did a full wipe and reflashed the ROM which worked fine up until I tried to start up an application that required Root Access. It said that I don't have root permission and I should get it. I then installed SuperSU from the Play Store and when I started it, it read "There is no SU binary installed and SuperSU cannot install it. This is a problem!". What should I do? Should I reflash the ROM or should I flash SuperSU.zip? Please help, this is urgent!
Thanks for your time in advance,
-M
PS. I have a S-ON Device with an unlocked bootloader, if it helps.

seriously?? no need to panic at all, just flash the SuperSU zip file....it's not going to brick your phone...the time taken for you to type all that, you could have flashed the supersu and been on your way...

i thought it was that rom but i tried flashing another rom and getting same message , if someone can help i appreciate it, i came fr the evo3d left sprint after 11yrs and woow what a difference in network, awesome network but im spoiled with rooting my ogevo n evo3d lol i love this phone hope i can fix this issue

k first rom i tried AOSP 4.0.3ANDROID OPEN KANG PROJECT-TORO BUILD8 so i wiped data factory reset and cache n dalvik and flashed the rom, it looks like it starts to flash but aborts with the message above, then i restored my nan backup rebooted and went back to cwm to reflash the second time around i only wipe data factory reset cuz thats what the op says to do on his thread so i only wipe data factory n flash the rom still same error, so i went to try another rom GUMMYNEX 0.2.3 and i did the same process with both im following the steps their stating in the op in have cwm
From what the error sounds like is that it doesn't think you have the correct device. You have a CDMA phone and not a GSM?

sure you are using the lastest CWM???
sure you are rooted??
did you try downloading the files from another puter??
i think i might know what the problem is my cwm says 5.5.0.2 and im looking here at somebody posted in the development section for a cdma cwm and it says 5.5.0.4 could that be the problem? if so how do i redo my recovery, follow the same steps i did my first one, i downloaded and extracted the files to my c drive and opened cmd and typed the commands, can i do that again while having already cwm to flash the new cwm on top of the old one? if thats the problem
Download rom manager. Then you can flash it while your booted in android.

No just download the app Rom Manager. It will download the latest version and flash it with a single click within this app!

Twrp breaking root?

Ok so I really screwed up using twrp. Went to wipe ( factory reset) but in the process i wiped system ect. without thinking. Wanted to flash miui and nothing was there. Duh me. So flashed the latest tar through odin and i dont see su! Does this mean i lost root but have custom recovery. What can i do to get su back and lfash custom roms?
Tia
Never mind mods please remove... forgot that i flash an unrooted version. Therfore solved!

[Q] Need some direction with Restoring

Hi All,
Yesterday I took my Tegra 3 (International) One X back to Stock ICS using RUU. Everything went smoothly after I relocked my bootloader and ran the RUU.
Then I proceeded to get all the OTA updates until I had JellyBean (3.14.707.24) with no further updates pending. Yay for Jellybean! The next thing I did was install CWM recovery and perform a nandroid backup (which didn't seem to restore later, although was created correctly).
At this point, I thought I would try using a CM10 rom to remove sense and I went ahead and installed it, flashing over the boot.img as one normally would, but it wouldn't boot. I later discovered that I needed a modded-boot.img (for new hboot 1.36), but not before I tried running the 3.14.707.24 RUU.
This RUU got stuck at sending.... and did not finish. I didn't leave it more than 20 minutes and tried twice. I also tried my ICS RUU to no avail.
Right now I have no Rom installed (from what I can tell), but I have full fastboot access and would like to know how I should proceed:
1) should I install the CM10 rom again with proper modded-boot.img (for hboot 1.36) and see if it boots? That would at least get me functional.
2) should I try another copy of the RUU for 3.14.707.24 JB? (i found one)
3) should I try a rom like Android Revolution HD which is OK to work with my new HBoot 1.36?
I don't want to do too much too fast since I know what I've done, and used to be really into this. The phone has been sitting a while since I upgraded my device and I'd like to get it working for travelling purposes. I'd be happy with a Stock Rom at this point...
Thanks for any willingness to help me
Adam
Ofcourse if you want CM flash the boot.img that is made for CM..And then flash .zip file..And ofcourse after flashing use
"fastboot erase cache"
Sometimes if you dont clear cache your phone won't boot..
Sent from my Endeavor
As you already said the old boot.img wont work with the new hboot. Just install cm10.1 as usually. Or any other JB Rom that is out there for the One X.

Thanks for your answer!! Now I'm curious if I want to use some other ROM, but without any system, how do I get the .zip file for the rom onto my SD card for flashing.
Should I use CWM recovery and enable usb storage, or is there another way?
Thanks again,
Adam
Correct, use the recovery
Yes just mount usb storage in CWM.

I'll try this later when I have the time. Thanks to everyone who responded. I was nervous I was on the bad road. Seems I'm in healthy shape, just lacking a rom.
Two more questions:
1) Can I still revert to stock? If so, how since RUU seems to get stuck at sending and not actually restore?
2) Any idea why when I tried to restore my stock nandroid backup just after installing CWM (which backed up successfully) it would restore but not boot (hung on One splash screen)? Should I have to wait a seriously long time for it to boot (I never used to have to?)
Thanks in advance!

I think I was more freaked out by the RUU not working than just thinking that my phone is fine. Turned out CWM Recovery was still onboard so I just flashed a new rom using USB mounted storage. :good::good::good::cyclops:

1. You just need to find a RUU that will work..
2. Did you flash boot.img from sdcard/CWM/backup/ backup name folder?

Hey, Thanks for responding!
1. I figured. Thanks for validating. :good:
2. I did not use the boot.img from the nandroid backup. I've never sent a separate boot.img when restoring from Nandroid. Is that something I need to do going forward/have been lucky not having to do until now? Perhaps the ICS builds of roms had a more similar boot.img?
Adam
Yes sir, always flash the corresponding boot.img file

Thanks! I'm just confused because I've literally NEVER had to do this and have flashed countless roms when I was on ICS builds.
Great tip :highfive::good::highfive:

i rooted this phone and i decided i wanted to flash the only rom. When i attempted to do so it went into a boot loop??? i went back to recovery (CWM) to flash my back up and its still boot looping?!?!? im freaking out as i just got this phone. What do i do help. Im desperate (can still get in recovery/download)
Edit: got it back on stock! thank the lord! Used odin method.

not only you ..
Still boot looping with a nandroid backup? Wow that's weird.
I've rooted and rom 2 note 3 without any issues. It was actually the easiest process ever, even easier than rooting and rom the first gen galaxy s.

Did you follow the instructions and wipe we during including system first? Because that causes big problems in his rom. Also the dev for that rom says to only use TWRP 2.6.3.1 for now.
Did you restore any apps with titanium?

NOTE 3

[Q] Bootloops on every rom Note 2 GT-N7105

Hello!
I recently got a Note 2 (GT-N7105)
And for some silly reason wich even disappoints myself i wanted to overclock , well that didn't make sense i know but however i did it! and directly after i installed the required file (I don't remember wich one but it was for 1.8Ghz) after the installing my phone kept showing the boot logo , i tried to use my backup but even after restoring it didnt boot! I cleaned everything wich also cleaned my backup...
I been on it for about 7 hours now trying different roms , kernels , and every file i could find but nothing helps.
I now installed Cyanogenmod using CMW but even that bootloops.
The last thing i could notice is CMW showing me a E: failed to Mount /efs (Invalid argument) Wich makes me worry even more...
I honestly hope there are some good peaple who could help me with this... Finally got a great phone and by stupid mistakes i made it won't work anymore..
I don't care what rom gets on it , Even if its a hello kitty rom u won't hear me complain , If the phone works again i'll be happy!
Not sure if this helps but its a GT-N7105 , i know it had the newest android there was (4. something, i think it was 4.3)
Odin does see the device , My CMW (6.0.4.1) works and Download Mode works.
I hope anybody can help me!
In case you want to help me live wich would be awesome my skype is : chrishendriks92
If it gets fixed i will Offcourse place the solution here.
(The note is not a new one , its used and a few months old , worked 100% before my stupid decisions bricked it)
(so here's a small version)
-Every rom i tried will bootloop , It shows a different boot video/logo everytime tho
-It all happened after i tried a 2.8Ghz Overclock
-i get a EFS error in CMW
-Accidentily i deleted my backup but i don't mind whatever rom gets on it
-Download mode and CMW (6.0.4.1) works

Ok, so what I would do.
I would wipe data through CWM.
Download official ROM from sammobile.com and flash it through Odin.
I hope this will help to get the phone booted.
After that we will worry about imei recovery.

I have the same problem, I'm on 4.3 version and tried to downgrade to 4.1.1 and went back to 4.3, I formatted the system through twrp with NO OS INSTALLED to be sure it is totally cleaned but all the way, I still experiencing reboot issue.
At first I encountered unfortunately systemui has stopped, done rooting and fixing permission but still no luck.
One more thing, I already flashed pit file.

You installed a kernel right? To over clock? First flash new bootloader, then flash stock kernel, then again flash stock rom, do not let the device boot up before you have done all three.

yup I already did that,I flashed stock kernel from http://opensource.samsung.com/.I know reflashing stock rom will delete everything including root.
