Help,
My HTC One V keeps rebooting! I have bought it 5 days ago. I previously had a HTC Wildfire and I almost haven't got any problems with it.
But the One V! It keeps rebooting / restarting. It started 1 or 2 days ago after a update I thought, even when the screen is off.
When the phone is on again after a reboot it says: Your phone has recovered from a system crash. Wan't to send a report to HTC?
I send like 15 times the report.
Task manager doesn't have any effect on it.
An another problem is that some installed apps dissapear from my phone. Like they get uninstalled from my phone without my permission, maybe this is a effect of the rebooting. But it's very annoying to download and install the app again.
I did not root my device
How to fix this?

Pff, I hate resetting, especially at this moment when I just personalized my phone. It's a shame of HTC that my phone has to reset after 5 days to even have a chance of getting this fixed...
Resetting the phone hasn't helped, it keeps rebooting. Is there a way to fix this? Please help

You can download the RUU and run it to restore your phone to factory state. You can then update your phone like you did. I had a similar reboot problem but I had rooted and played with my phone by then. The RUU and update has worked for me and I do not see any reboots now.

Make sure you get the RUU for your device (zone) based on CID.

That is what it says when I try to s off my dads desire using revolutionery..
Can itbe because my dads desire has an update but he won't install because it fails to download S or keeps saying it is damaged/corrupted?
Can I even s off using it or its different from the desire S?

Your situation is not that clear to me.........be more specific as much as you can giving out details that would also help the reader of your issue.
For the meantime go to this link and make sure you followed all instructions carefully then you can go back in this thread for further clarifications if your issue still persists.
Sorry , wrote the OP from my phone..
Anyways the situation is : When I try to root the phone with revolutenary , once it gets to Zerging root after some time it says Root failed or something with a sad smiley.. What could be the cause for this? The phone also has a official update through built-in update feature but as soon as it's done downloading it it says that the downloaded file ( AKA update ) is corrupted/damaged and asks me if I want to redownload and it won't help either.
Hope I was clear enough.
Is it a desire or desire S?
Root and s-off 2 different things. Zerging (which I have never heard of) is nothing to do with root or s-off on the desire.

I just tried that and my phone just booted up normally but it took longer than usual. And I got a message that said something like ''Your HTC phone just recovered from something unusual. Do you want to send an error report to HTC?''
So that means my phone is S-ON right?
Wow this is very disturbing.
Please don't try this again. It's clear that you don't have the knowledge required to mess with the phone.

Nope, like I said, phone just booted up slower than usual and then I got an error report message from HTC that said something like ''Your HTC has recovered from an unexpected error. Do you want to send a report to HTC?''
So I think I can assume my phone is S-OFF right?
No,
Reboot it again, select reboot from the power menu and don't release the volume button until you get in the bootloader.

So phone is rooted with CWM.. Got system update and went to install now and it rebooted,, It went into CWM and it sayd package failed, it will nto update.. any ideas? Help!!!
Thanks
Phone is Stock Rooted with CWM
You have to be on stock firmware(no root, busybox, or cwm/twrp) and have stock recovery, otherwise the install will fail.
Use the search button.
As a summary if you have a custom recovery, you can't install system updates.

SO if that is the case, Is there a way to stop it from updating so i do not get that message anymore?

Just accept the update and let it fail henever the notification comes up. Thats the only way to get rid of it, at least until it decides to pop up again.

Which of my mods do you mean? They all are made for a working rom,so I doubt one of them can solve your problem.
The problem might be your USB connection. First make sure you are flashing the correct rom and are using the correct ancora file. Then make sure your phone is connected to a native usb port (not a external or internal usb hub) and try again. Maybe you are also not using the correct settings in Odin. For example forgetting to check a mark or to uncheck it. This happened once to me too while flashing a rom.
You should take off usb cable when it restarts.

Hi members. This is my first post. I have flashed most of the Roms listed on the Dev section of the Tmo GS3 and never had any issues with flashing. However, when i try flashing this latest release by Hero (axis 19), aroma installer does not get passed 10%, it does not freeze; it just stays there at 10%
I noticed yesterday that after many trials and 10 min waiting it got past the 10% and completed the install process but when i pressed the "next" button on the screen, it got frozen.
Has anyone experience the same issue? I cannot post in the dev section yet. This is why i am posting here. Anyone please help.
Thanks

Yes i downloaded the rom 3 times with different browsers and yet it does not install. Aroma starts normally up to the 10% or hangs at the end when pressing "next"
Very strange as everyone else in the rom section is very happy with the rom.
Very strange as this is only happening with this rom.

Well aroma freezing is a know issue with the aroma. if it does, you can just hold down the power button for 10 seconds and it should reboot back into recovery to try again. Also, some roms (I beleive this does) have device checks built in, it could look like it will stop for quite a while at a certain point while it does its device checks. If you havent already, try again and put the phone down for around 10 minutes and see if it eventually resumes. If neither of those are the case, I would try to restore a backup and reflash recovery, it seems like it may be from an outdated or curropted recovery. You can easily to that through goo.im manager.
