Why does my phone say "Get More..." ? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

On the lock screen of my GNex (GSM) and in the notification panel, right after the mobile network name it says "Get More...". So the bottom of the lock screen says
T-Mobile|Get More...
I saw this right out of the box, and still see it now that I'm running the JB preview. My wife's phone, ordered from Google a week or two later than mine, doesn't have this. I think it also had a different default wallpaper.
The "Get More..." is not clickable.
Anyone know what this is about?

Can u take a screenshot of "Get more"?

Goto security and owner info and see what it says. If it says that there you can change it.
butter and jelly please...

That's the tagline for T-Mobile, isn't it? So your SIM is sending that as part of your carrier name. Swap SIMs with your wife and see if it does it.

Owner Info goes in the top right area of the lock screen, underneath the clock. He's saying its at the bottom where the carrier name goes.

Could also be your SIM. I remember back with the vibrant, older SIM cards had weird things for carrier logo, which would clear up with a new SIM card.

Pinpointed by swapping SIMs between phones with his wife to check, then asking T-Mobile to provision a new SIM.

Root Tools in the play store lets you change your pull-down text if you're looking to change it.

[Q] call duration/timer

So I am trying to figure out if I am missing a setting or if I can mod the SecPhone.apk to show the length of time you where on a call with some one? On the tmobile and verizon S3 if you go to logs and select a call it will show length of time under the time of day. On my note 2 and sprint S3 it does not show this info.

You can go to Call Log Or Call Statistics.. Click on the phone call you're inquiring about.. And obtain this info... Just one click away from the Call Log. No digging really.

Its showing 2 separate calls for displayed contact. Are you not able to click on those calls to bring up the info for each call?
topherk no it does nothing
xxStarbucksxx clicking either one does nothing.
On the verizon and Tmobile Stock TW versions that same screen shows a time length under the time of day called.
Wow.. That's odd. And unfortunately I haven't used TW 4.1.2 in a while.. And even when I did I never checked my call logs. Sorry.

Go to phone dialer. Tap logs. Tap number you want to know about. Tap menu again. Then View Contact. There is a history tap, tap that.
I can suggest to try this 4 step process.

There's always SwypeDialer via the playstore. It seems a lot of people on Sprint stock have that issue. But you should be able to click or long press the call in question and it should bring up details.
Thanks for the help. I would rather modify the stock to work the way I want it instead of installing another app.

If it's enabled in VZW phones and disabled in ours, I'd bet it's a Build.Prop line item. I don't have a copy of the VZW build.prop to compare, but if you can get your hands on one and compare it to ours, you might be able to find the line item that either enables or disables the call duration display.

Use the double drop down to show the gear icon. Then long press the gear icon. Once it converts to a gear icon with a wrench on it, SystemUI shows up on settings.

Having trouble with this. If by "double drop-down" you mean two-finger swipe down, that brings down the full notification panel (toggle switches) panel... there is no gear icon on it.
If I swipe down with a single finger, there is a gear icon above the list of notifications, but it does not change to a wrench no matter how long I hold it.
help?
That is how I did it originally on Marshmallow. I am on N Preview now, and it is still the double swipe drop-down.

I am sure I am not using the brightness icon. I am pressing the gear icon at the upper right of the screen (next to the one that looks like a grid).
Actually, I read the article you referenced before you posted it -- and several others. This is why I posted this here... that gear icon just doesn't do anything for me. I have read that some vendors have chosen not to use the System Tuner UI... and came to think that maybe Sprint or Samsung ditched it.

I asked about the System UI Tuner in another thread and have not found a way to access it. Given that some of the things System UI Tuner offers were already in TouchWiz, I wonder if Samsung just left it out. If true, this would be unfortunate because I don't know of any other way to control which icons appear in the Notification bar.
why are you posting in a note 4 section about your nexus?
can we ban members from showing up on our accounts when we come to the forum so we have less clutter like this?

Does you N7 lag when your pop up notification appears?

So I ordered my Note 7 through Verizon and I've had it for about a week and I'm in love. No over heating or nothing related to the " recall ".. But, what I am noticing is very clear and blatant lag when I'm in an app or even staring at home screen where Hangouts and FB messenger pop ups with the notification message really slow up and lag when appearing @ the top of the screen. Almost like half of it shows up and it takes 2 or 3 seconds for the bottom half to appear and complete so you can read the message..
Could it be possible that it's a setting with Nova Launcher? Idk
Anyone else experiencing this?
Anyone recommend a fix or something setting wise I might have jacked up? Thanks!
Edit ; I've come to the conclusion that it's TouchWiz or this phone needs 7.0 desperately.. OR rooting it might solve it? LMK your thoughts please!
Happens to me with Google messager

Turn off peeking in the app settings under notification. Unless you really like the heads up peeking. I've disliked heads up/peeking since day one so I've always disabled it.
I made a thread about this a few days ago. I called it notification glitch. A guy said it happens when you turn all animations off. If you set it to .5 then it should fix it.
I tried it and it didn't work. Guess it's just a software glitch.

Btw I made like 4 threads simultaneously about this (they deleted all but 1) like 4 days ago and it sounds like everyone has this issue so don't think you have a faulty unit or something.
No issue here. Even when playing a game my notifications are smooth.

I had the same issue, use Nova as well, and came to this same conclusion. The minute I changed the animation from 0 to anything else it was resolved.

I mean - trial and error is the best way to check.
I also switched from Material-Dark theme to a black one, but that was after I changed the animations and it was working.

Okay, I changed it back to .5 so I'll see. There's only a couple apps that send me notification that do that and I don't get them often so it might take me a while to figure it out. It's odd it'd effect some phones and not others.. It doesn't sound like a hardware issue to you does it? If it's software hopefully next update fixes it...

... Nah, not hardware. Definitely a setting/software issue.
I'll tell you right now, the only other thing about this phone that has annoyed me is keyboard lag. I'm using swiftkey and sometimes it'd start lagging bad especially in apps like Facebook messenger, kik, or typing into Google search. It's like it couldn't keep up with how fast I was typing. It seems like it'd randomly go into this mode even if I had no apps open and plenty of spare ram. I did a lot of research about this last night and found a big thread about it and someone said if you clear your clipboard from the settings in your keyboard it fixes it and what do you know... It hasn't lagged a single time since I did that..
---------- Post added at 05:29 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:40 PM ----------
Wow. I turned off nova accessibility and it fixed both the keyboard lag and the laggy notification pop up and I still have l animations off. Tested the notifications using an app that would constantly cause it to lag and only pop halfway down(not fully load)and 4 straight times even while in a game didn't cause it. So the verdict is 100% nova accessibility chasing both notification and keyboard lag.
