After selecting them, did you go and long-press a text box, then select input method?
press and hold the screen on a text input and select 'input method' then change it to the keyboard u want.
and read my signature.

Poop.
I can't find it...
But just to reassure you, I HAVE seen this hack implemented.
And it's a simple text edit.
I'll keep searching.

BAHA! Found it.

This could potentially be helpful as well...but I don't see mention of GNex support, so maybe go the manual route.

I just updated the update to my HTC one X with icecream sandwich. but I am not getting the info cards on my homepage, nor am I getting anything that resembles JB. does anyone know if I can activate somewhere, and if so how do I access JB homepage, I don't even see a tab for it... thanks in advance,
If you mean Google Now, long-press Home on the homescreen to activate search and it should prompt you to activate Google Now.
Long Press "Home" Capacitive button?

But this is not a normal apk, it's a system app. you have to push it to system/app/SamsungIME with the permission 644.

Hi guys.
Im a real big stock android fan, and so i also really like it to have softkeys.
Now, i will be upgrading to the Lineage OS for our device when it comes out of the alpha, but i would really like to have a navbar with that.
Can anyone make another thread to show us how to do it? You can just reply to this message too.
But just make kind of a tutorial, do i have to root, or not?
Just tell me how to do it please.
Thanks guys!
Mike

If you want to get a real navbar you will need root. There are some apps that allow the navbar with just a click like this one https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fatedevgroup.softkeyenabler or you could do it the hard way by editing the build.prop but there's a higher chance of messing something up.
Just go to /system/build.prop file and add "qemu.hw.mainkeys=1" without the quotes.. Every phone has a built in Nav bars

Hi, I have been using this for a while.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tw.com.daxia.virtualsoftkeys
It's not really a nav bar, it doesn't require root.
It's overall quite good, I did not feel any lag using it.
Hope I helped

Thanks, I haven't tried this app before, but I did try a similar app. They're all right, but the only problem is they cover a part of the screen. They are not part of the system. And that's what I'm after. But thanks anyways man!
