[Q] 2.42.415.1 not rooted yet ..!!

Hi all,
I follow the instructions in this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1152233 from CuBz90
But still not working in Desire HD with builed number 2.42.415.1
I try many times but I unfortunately failed..
Please help..

it wont work with 2.42...........
downgrading 2.42 is not yet found.........
we must hav to wait........

I think it should works. This is using the Goldcard method. The goldcard is a general method which should not be dependent on the phone version !
With goldcard you can install other OFFICIAL stock roms.
In the field of Android custom ROMs, what a Gold Card does is letting you install ROMs on your Android device that aren’t intended for your carrier. For example, if you have a T-Mobile USA HTC Desire, you can install an official ROM intended for the O2 UK HTC Desire, or even a generic ROM that isn’t locked to a carrier. It does so by disabling the CID (Carrier ID) check that the device does when installing a ROM.

i think its about the software version,couldn't go back without temp root,and as long as we couldnt found a 2.42.415.1 or later rom with root bug like 2.37 softbank rom ,we couldn't reach any where

Using the goldcard doesn't need any root permissions. It is a htc way to use other official stock roms. First you try to downgrade to official stock rom 1.32.405.6 then try to root this version.

i tried and a lot of people tried but it didn't work
and if it was that easy ,the whole root guide wouldn't be found at the first place,
,u can install only for upper version not older :S

Yeah, we are all stuck with unrooted 2.42 dhd for now. Sooner or later, somebody will find a way to root 2.42.415.1. We just have to wait.

I HAVE UN IDEA WHICH IS THAT WE CAN PAY MONEY TO ANY ONE WILL HELP US ROOT THE PHONE AND USE A METHOD FOR DOWNGRADED .

i know that this will not work on 2.42...... ok.
for any other metod just check the release date of it.if it's before 6 jul defenitly will not work on 2.42....

i tried it before,beleive me it wont work,i was thinkink to upgrade to 2.50 ,but am afraid of tow things : 1 - arabic support
2 - someone will figure a root for 2.42 and then i i cant go down to it :S

but its given 2.36+..........that can be 2.42 na ?????
i think its a common method after GB update..........whatever the version is.....
I dont know whether this work .........

it could be ,but it wont work ,i also contacted jsl about it ,and he kept telling me u just need to let it go to sleep and then wake it up u will find an error which i couldn't get
but somehow i feel we are going root soon with 2.42.415.1 maybe this week,
but what do u think about going to the latest 2.50 ?

no way...am not going to update......the we have to wait again for downgrading 2.50.............
I will downgrade my 2.42 wen it comes.......
It will be great if we downgrade this week itself..........
I have lost almost 1 month for rooting my fone.....

(Request) rooted stock

Hello all. I've been trying the available rooted stock rom for GSM one v and none seem good. I've lost my cwm backup of the original stock. And since my phone was bought in India I cant run ruu due to varied versions. I kindly request someone to post rooted stock rom with stock kernel preferably lastesy ics. Plz help me out

[Q] is unlocked and Rooted Stock 4.1 Rom can be update from official server. ?

i have htc one x.. it is Unlocked and Rooted.. Stock 4.1 Rom.... but in Notifications bar showing a new 3.20 update is available... can i install it? if i install and update then i have to unlock and root again ? or what will happen?

You need :
stock rom (no system apps deleted)
kernel
recovery
to install an ota. Bootloader can stay unlocked.
I assume you are on a 3.14 base now. If so you need to flash this recovery

i got HTC desire 816w from china but i am originally from Egypt
anyway this was my first time to root my device and install custom rom but unfortunately i deleted my backup stock rom by mistake
and now wanna back to stock but dont know how so pls
if anybody can explain how to S OFF and install stock rom ( i searched much for S OFF for this device but didn't find and also can't get the stock rom from HTCUI.com donno why cant download from baidu ) and finally big thanks to kinghunki all info i know about this device by his Threads

Try this European version single sim version RUU from this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=52995489. I did the similar mistake and unable to find the RUU for the dual sim english version. If you or anyone happen to find one, please please share that rom or RUU.

Htc One X Stock ROM

Heloo to everyone...i have problem and i need your help..so i have htc one x cid: vodap110 swiss-vodafone ch-de. (international htx one x).. so my firmware was 4.19.166.3 original stock rom.
I rooted my phone and installed some android 5.0, 5.1 just testing for fun.Now i want get back to the stock rom but i cant found it enywhere.i search all web but there is no firmware.
can anybody help me??? thanks..

I know.i made mistake..i already searched for nandroid cant find that firmware only 3.xx.166.x, so if i install that can i update it to version 4.19.166.3 swiss?
